Things are not looking to get any better. We had some rain yesterday but it totally skipped the entire fire area. The strong winds are not helping either.

Here in Okayama we had several hours of rain yesterday evening and much of the night; NHK reported:-
In Okayama City, 28.5mm of rain fell from the night of the 27th to the morning of the 28th, and there were no fires, smoke, or new fire spread in the morning of the 28th around the site. *Okayama City held a meeting of the disaster response headquarters from 1pm on the 28th, and Mayor Masao Omori announced that the fire was almost extinguished and there was no risk of spreading the fire, and "the fire was suppressed at noon today."
