The longer impeached ex-President Yoon hangs on and resists arrest, the worse the damage will be for South Korea's image internationally. It's already taken a huge blow.

Yoon Suk Yeol's presidential guards and military troops shielded the former star prosecutor from investigators

These so called Presidential guards and military troops are acting illegally. Members of the public and military loyal to the acting President should target them. Hopefully these military members all receive life sentences as traitors when this is all over. They may receive even worse if they keep it up.

Yoon and Blinken can cry on each other's shoulders.

The alternative is not any better as the opposition will just make Korea into a Chinese satellite state

Not just political. The boys look like girls, the girls look like mannequins, and that squid game show?

ANARCHY to say the least.

Mr. Yoon needs to start thinking about what's in the best interest of S. Korea rather than saving his own neck if he really cares.

But I doubt that he will step down or surrender he has gone too far beyond that point already.

So Yoon the Loon and his pampered Praetorian Guards are resisting the constitution, eh?

Of course, being a vassal state par excellence of the US, the CIA will be up to their elbows in this.

Not just a political but an existential crisis. South Korea is probably just days away from a military coup or a civil war.

remember South Korea’s democracy is only 4 decades old.

the military is stil to closely connected to politics

'Health and safety'! Amusing. It looks like the police are complicit. If you are defending your democracy against armed men and their leader, you get the heavy gear out. More Judge Dredd, less Police Academy. Presumably the police are happy to get back to the old days, torturing and raping students, so will play their part in this farce until Yoon gets to be Glorious Leader again with support from his Orange chum in Washington. A pity. South Korea was doing well as a democracy.

Pro Tip. The easy way to get someone out of a building is to set fire to it. You can build another presidential residence more quickly than you can regain your democracy. As with all incoming dictatorships, get out if you can, or get into hiding if you need to.

South Korea has never done well as a democracy in the four decades it has supposedly been one.

Incoming Presidents customarily jail their predecessors. This is not the hallmark of a genuine democracy.
