I don't think the far right in the US will take Covid-19 seriously unless and until their orange jesus gets it and gets really really sick.

Lock down or not, eventually everywhere is going to look like Florida where new cases are now in decline after the virus ripped through the population.

I believe the goal of most societies is to not end up like Florida. Florida is the poster child of what not to do in a pandemic.

This report chooses to be silent on the fact that there are only 833 active cases now in Korea.

Um, no it won't. That's a pretty silly assertion with no evidence out there to support it.

The rest of the world won't end up like Florida, because the rest of the world aren't selfish Americans, and are for the most part willing to take on a little personal sacrifice for the good of the people amongst whom they live.
