I know. It's easy to dismiss these idiots as, well, idiots but there's a grim determination to their mayhem.

It's all very depressing, truth be told.

So what had they in mind, tie a bunch of gas canisters around the base of a monument and light a match ? Or simply deface some by spraying Arabic graffiti over them ?

Perhaps it's time to take a more radical approach to this new Terrorist favourite line of attack ?

Vehicle rentals should be controlled more Tightly. A bit more like gun purchases in the US (Advance notice in order to allow sufficient background checks)

A stolen Vehicle should be considered as dangerous Weapon potentially in possession of a Terrorist, and an immediate Shoot to kill policy adopted. (That action may also have the side effect of curtailing that ubiquitous crime).
