Then NATO bombed out all the infrastructure, including police stations and prisons and now the country is a total mess.

All? That's questionable. But there's no doubt NATO raids devastated the country. That's an undeniable fact.

But that's history. What's going on in Libya now? Which of the big global corporations backed by their country's mercenary forces continue to make life miserable for the Libyan people.

The devastation of state's like Libya is one more reason the world needs to start burning much less oil and gas.

Agree with @burning, but also @PT. The stealing of oil and gas was not the only factor though. Colonial/imperial western nations couldn’t allow Libya to become an economic success. Otherwise other African nations may also try to challenge first world dominance and resources plundering.

They're going to have to create a new Libya, a Confederation, made up of East Libya and West Libya.

Then they can kick out all outsiders, i.e. everyone trying to change the status quo.

Yes, that includes the UAE, France, Russia, Turkey, IS, the US and Egypt, etc.

Countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Russia whose military mercenaries are perpetuating the continued destruction of Libya

The destruction of Libya is all on the U.S. and NATO! Thank you Obama and Shrillary Clinton!!
