Bannon is the beneficiary of a two-tier justice system because of his political connections.
He runs so many scams like his benefactor he should have been serving a long sentence long before now.

Scumbag.

I served in the same Navy around the same time as he did and was the same rank but somehow the Navy code of conduct; "I will not lie, cheat or steal or tolerate those who do" didn't seem to rub off on him. We never even put locks on our lockers because honesty was assumed. Without that level of mutual trust you don't have a fighting force. Yet this guy is slicker than a sea slug and about as appealing.
deanzaZZR
That's a great inspirational story there, DT. Fat Leonard.
Peter Neil
thievery, lies and cons seem to be common threads among trump’s mob. oh yeah, disbarred lawyers, too.
bass4funk
Love the guy, he said, he's looking forward to this, history is on his side in the end. Great man.
wallace
Another Trump crook and soon-to-be felon.
Bob Fosse
Apart from an affinity for fellow convicts what is it that you like about him?
bass4funk
Patriot, American first nationalist, I know, I know, any American that puts the US first is always an enemy to the Democrat theocracy.
Bob Fosse
Stealing money from fellow Americans under the guise of patriotism. What a hero.
“Three other men didn't get pardoned and are serving federal prison time in the case. Two pleaded guilty; a third was convicted at trial.”
Won’t be pardon in this case. Not looking good for your hero.
Desert Tortoise
Nope. Not with him. For him it's ego and money first. How else do you explain his con? He took advantage of angry Americans and lined his pockets. That is not America first.
Desert Tortoise
Some time in jail with less food and no alcohol might do him some good.
Desert Tortoise
I was out of the active duty side of the Navy for almost three decades. The Fat Leonard scandal is disgusting. Those officers disgraced a good service and their nation.
bass4funk
That same old debunked lib diatribe again?
And?
He won't be there long, he knows it and the libs know it. Just go, be patient and just wait.
And make him a political martyr as well.
Bob Fosse
Kolfage got over 4 years. Bannon will be looking a lot healthier when he gets out.
’political martyr’ lol. You sure pick them.

I wonder how Mr Dumpster Dweller is enjoying jail - no doubt he's better dressed now...
And another example that MAGA-world exists because "there's one born every minute"...
Bannon hustled them out of all their money for home improvements and European vacations - and they still "love the guy"...
Invite him over to steal all your furniture and ransack your house - you'll really love him then...
Welcome to MAGA-world...

of course you would say that.
you've been consistent and stayed in character for years I, for one, appreciate the value of comments like these.
it get's a little too serious around here sometimes. always good to have something to chuckle at.
bass4funk
Anyway, he won't be long locked up, so that's a sigh of relief.
Yes.
Why would I change, I'm a conservative.
I feel the same about liberals on this site as well.
funkymofo
Another maga grifter. ‘All the money goes to building the wall’- clear fraud. Watch trump lose from jail.
Bob Fosse
You don’t know that.
Why would you be relieved at the prospect of crime going unpunished?
bass4funk
I do.
Seriously? How many people have this admin fired, there is a long list of people who should be working at a mall somewhere. Afghanistan is one, FAA is another, FDA, so yes, there are lots of people that have done very serious egregious acts that shouldn't be around anymore, once a bunch of these people is arrested then I can call the system fair, but as it stands, it's not, so yes, he won't be in for very long.
Peter Neil
co-defendants sentenced to 3 and 4 years in prison, plus restitution.
bannon pocket more money than they did.
good chance he gets more time than they did.
i don't know about others, but i think 4 - 5+ years is pretty long to be in prison.
couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
bass4funk
We will see.
Not really.
That won't happen, and the reason for that is, once Trump gets back into office, he let him and probably all of the J6 defendants out, that will happen and there is nothing the Dems can do about it. And if it makes you feel better, Biden might do the same for Hunter, he pardons him, and that's it for the GOP and the same rule applies, and I wouldn't be surprised Biden didn't pardon his own son. So both sides will get what they want and neither side will get exactly what they want in the end.

I have never been a Steve Bannon fan, and I say this as someone who is not particularly anti-Trump. The dude has always looked like a total slob and has the appearance of a sad alcoholic about to suffer from liver poisoning because he just can't get sober. I really never understood the whole idea behind wearing multiple collared shirts underneath one another, either.
I get what Trump was going for. Bring this guy on to act as a counterbalance to Reince Priebus and the neocons. But optics matter and Bannon was ultimately a horrible decision. I think he did more to damage Trump's public opinion than help it.
I'll also say I'm not particularly crazy about the whole Bannon-Breitbart Coaching Tree. Milo Yiannopoulos, although mildly entertaining at points, is pretty much a total sleezeball of a person and also contributed very little in terms of political philosophy or intellectualism. That's to say nothing of Ben Shapiro, an incredibly toxic figure who's overall effect on and influence over American political discourse has been pretty negative. What these three have in common is that they are all linked to Breitbart.
I really am not well read on the various legal dilemmas Mr. Bannon has found himself in, so I will abstain from judgement on that, but I hope for his sake the guy just peacefully retires from public life. He's not leading some kind of movement, nor is he some great kingmaker or important thinker. Just enjoy a quiet existence in the woods or something.
Bob Fosse
Yes.
Remember of course that this is not team sports, tit-for-tat, it’s not fair waaaa. That’s for kids.
Why are you pleased crime, any crime, would go unpunished? In another thread yesterday you were demanding that immigrants guilty of crimes be deported. Which is an odd stance to take as an immigrant and at least twice convicted criminal.
jeancolmar
Mr. Bannon's current history goes beyond past present violations of the law. Trump dropped Bannon's federal interventions but could not drop the local violations. So Bannon is in the soup. Why?
He is a fanatic who has left reality. He was helped by Trump when he was President.
Bannon remember is a follower of Trump. Trump said early hi his campaign that the US was going to build the wall and Mexico would pay for it. This was rubbish that should have been the end of it. Bannon is a true fanatic. He needs a panned cell.
Peter Neil
his fraud trial is in state court. nothing trump can do.
i know it’s hard to keep up with all of trials of convicted felon trump and his gang of thieves.

Steve Bannon's trial in border wall fundraising case set for December
What American wouldn't want to protect the country's borders from illegal entry?

Bannon's trial is about fraud.

biden and obama deported more people than when trump was in office.
trump made the republicans vote against the latest border bill to keep keep immigration unchecked to use as a campaign topic. what american? trump and his ilk of fake opportunists.bass4funk
Yes, Obama did it secretly and Biden allowed more people to come in. over 10 million, so then in actuality he didn't deport that many when 5 times as many came back.
No, he voted against the border bill because it would not have completely stopped the flow of illegals or sent them back, the CBP was not allowed to detain or arrest anyone so that it would have been a waste of time signing it. But once Trump gets back in and finishes the wall and hires more agents to patrol it and create a task force to arrest, send to prison, and deport them is something I look forward to especially when Tom Holman gets his old job back, so great things coming.
zibala
Bannon is a true patriot.
What American doesn't want a secure border? What American wants 20 million people illegally entering the US? This is why we need the wall to continue to be built.
Terrorists, criminals, mentally unstable people all flowing into this country.
Trump will put an end to this insanity.
bass4funk
Absolutely.
