Wow, makes me glad that we don't get hurricanes here in South Cal, but then I remembered, we get forest fires, earthquakes, and droughts. So no matter where one lives, Mother Nature has something in store for you.

Most days here are beautiful, and I hear that much of China has terrible air quality. Poor air quality can shorten one's life by many years.

China is the world's biggest emitter of the greenhouse gases that scientists say are driving climate change and making extreme weather more frequent and intense.

Yes, AFP just had to add in that last little nugget. If people don't want China to emit that much, then they should make their own nuts and bolts.

It's China's choice to be a factory. They could have found responsible ways to earn a living by now.

Now the Shanghai people can enjoy clean and fresh air after the Typhoon gone. Powerful enough to sweep the filthy substances. Hold on guys !

There was a tropical storm last year in So Cal that was kind of exciting and did a lot of damage.
