Student arrests in Hong Kong deepen 'white terror' fears

Soon, people will be arrested for just thinking about something.

Not sure why it's called white terror and not red terror. Well I guess red is a good luck color in China.

Big tough China now Arresting 16yr olds for having an opinion that doesn’t match their government’s.

Until China can support free speech, we need to begin boycotting all Chinese imports. We can vote with our $$$. 

The end of Hong Kong as a world treasure begins.

That's the end of Hong Kong as we know it. This law stipulates that a crime can be committed anywhere in the world and online and still be arrested on arrival in HK or China. Probably half the posters on this site might not be able to return to HK ever again without risking arrest, and then torture and televised humiliation on the mainland, including me. There's a new enemy in this world.

Really really sad to see this happen in my lifetime.

No authoritarian government lasts forever. The authors and agents of systems of oppression age, sicken and die. That's what history teaches and what rational thought reveals. Freedom to think and have one's own opinion is just human nature and must eventually prevail so we can at least take comfort in the certainty of a future day of deliverance from parasitical despots and exploiters.

Disgusting and sickening. Damn the Hong Kong "government" to eternal hell. There will come a time of reckoning for the HK "government", police and public servants when Communist China implodes. It could be 5 years, maybe 10 or even 20. But the freedom-loving, Communist-hating HK citizens will one day exact revenge on these criminals - like the despicable anf murderous Carrie Lam - who sold them out.

Heartbreaking but true. Living in Hong Kong now is living in hell. Waiting for a knock on your door at night, to be taken away and never heard of again.
