Bit let's spend more time keeping transgenders out of bathrooms.....for the safety of the children.

Guns don't kill people! People kill people! With guns...

"Bit let's spend more time keeping transgenders out of bathrooms.....for the safety of the children."

I would do both honestly.

Not so bad, considering that, according to Terry McAuliffe, 93 million Americans are killed by guns every day!!!:

I'd be in favor of gun control, for starters. But then, I'd probably be the victim of an orchestrated smear campaign and possibly end up face to face with an angry NRA chump, for my troubles.

As for transgenders using the bathroom that their reassigned gender infers; sure. I'd rather keep the bullies, bigots and phobes out of the jacks, thanks all the same.

Congress has prohibited the CDC from using federal money to advocate or promote gun control.

Of course they have. It's all part of an ancient sacred text. To deviate or question that edict is akin to blasphemy.

Clearly the answer is looser firearm regulations and more firearms in the hands of more people. You see, if every one of those 19 children per day were armed, they could protect themselves. (Tongue in cheek.)

Very Vince Vaughan! Cripes, could you imagine the carnage if the pupils went in all tooled up? As if schoolyard fights and fracas aren't bad enough...

Nothing will happen as long as the NRA gives $30 MILLION to a presidential candidate who will do as they ask. 110 million gun owners, 300 MILLION guns - the US is the new Killing Fields. Our children are not taken by gunshot - we have sold them to the NRA. Shame on all of us.

—The annual death rate (for children) is nearly 2 out of 100,000 children

ーthe (homicide) rate (is) less than 1 per 100,000

So you're twice as likely to be killed as a child - presumably accidentally or incidentally - as to be murdered - the very reason the NRA and their ilk vomit to promote gun leniency. Kinda pulls the rug out of the argument that guns prevent violence.

What a violent country the US is, and what a violent people Americans are. What on earth is their problem??

Daniel does have a small point, if made in a very obtuse way (clearly, he was referring to blacks): While blacks make up 15% of the US population, minor shootings among blacks constitute 45% - a bit over twice the national average. Race thus has no bearing on the gun control debate. Poverty, education, the gun culture - these need to be addressed. Anything else is just kicking the can down the road - as usual.

Weren't we going to drain the swamp? I feel like somebody said something about draining the swamp.
