Now the jihadists were fighting a war far more savages than Soviets present in that country. IEDs or suicide bombers were almost unheard during 1980s. Thanks to America's cover war against soviets 1980s (operation cyclone) have created 'a frankeinstein never dies' and brought tragedies to their own and others. Those German soldiers and servicemen of other nationalities does not deserved this! It was a myth that a 'democracy alliance' was worth to keep for the lives of your boys!

LOL. Jihad predates any American covert action against the Soviets in Afghanistan by about 1300 years.
