Michelle is one very classy lady. She has a bright future no matter what she decides after this election. I for one will miss the Obama's and how they have stood constantly for what is right and not what is popular. Hillary will do just fine as president also. Now we need to change the seditious GOP lead houses. Then we can start to see real healing in this country and not one lead by fear, hate, bigotry, racism and misogyny.

"How to hand all the female and black votes to the Democrats with your mouth" by Donald Trump,

Didn't Michelle say in 2008 about Hillary, "If you can't run your own house, you can't run the White House."

And didn't Barack say "She'll say anything and do nothing."

And, oh my...

Eight years ago. In the meantime they worked together for years. Do you think that a relationship can not be repaired in that time, or that an opinion cannot be changed?

these woman are, both hate each other and to give the illusion that they are best buddies is sickening as well as insulting.

In your words, 'prove it'.

"What a lying piece of......these woman are, both hate each other and to give the illusion that they are best buddies is sickening as well as insulting."

It is cringeworthy. I'm sure the following quote from Trump about Hillary in 2008 also sickens you:

"I think that she's a wonderful woman,"

Do you think most of the 67 million Trump supporters will be sickened too?

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Eight years ago. In the meantime they worked together for years. Do you think that a relationship can not be repaired in that time, or that an opinion cannot be changed?

I can provide an example of someone who just a matter of months ago thought Trump was a "lunatic," and now thinks he's perfectly qualified to run the USA. That's a much larger turnaround -- and more sudden -- than Mrs. Obama's.

The right-wingers want to promote hatred. The so-called values voters are very upset Hillary stayed in her marriage while Trump was divorcing two times.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

"I think that she's a wonderful woman,"

Do you think most of the 67 million Trump supporters will be sickened too?

They probably put that all in the past, now looking at it from the perspective of what we now know about her, I don't think anyone will be sickened.

Anything else, Jim?

In your words, 'prove it'.

Sure thing. By the way, they never liked each other and that hate has been there since 2008

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Even if they don't like each other, they hate Trump enough to come together.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Do you think that a relationship can not be repaired

Some people genuinely do. They may demonstrate humanistic behaviours and be very charitable, yet genuinely see forgiveness as a character weakness.

Without them there'd be no extremism, far fewer wars, and much less homicide.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

I have this Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson song running through my head for some reason.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

What was I thinking, I forgot that you don't know what 'proof' is.

LOL! That's like saying Hillary Clinton is an honest and ethical person.

Strange, sorry, that excuse doesn't cut it, the proof was right there, the mail, the hand is caught in the cookie jar. So now that we know, this marriage is a marriage of convenience, they tolerate each other because Obama promised to help support her, if she decided to run as long as she supported him during the primaries when he was running. Now they are paying that debt back. They just shouldn't just make it so painfully obvious.

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

What was I thinking, I forgot that you don't know what 'proof' is.

The "leaked" email is no more proof than someone coming to JapanToday and reading bass4funk's posts and claiming his conjecture as proof. That's what the leaked email is: conjecture.

What's more, nothing in the leak indicates how our First Lady feels about Secretary Clinton. The right-wingers -- who love to hate -- want to promote the unfounded smear that Mrs. Obama hates Hillary.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

What was I thinking, I forgot that you don't know what 'proof' is.

Thanks for proving even further that you don't know what proof is!

Politics at its most hypocritical and lyingest

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

“Seriously, is there anyone more inspiring than Michelle Obama?” Clinton asked, as a crowd in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, answered with cheers.

Michelle is terrific. She could run for a US senate seat in Illinois and win it as easy as Hillary did in New York.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

All I can say is that I feel sorry for anyone teaching US history a century from now. Like when I studied Hitler as a kid, and just couldn't understand how a developed country could support a raving loony like that. It was inexplicable. Or why the Dutch went in for tulip-mania.

100 years from now, the students will be saying "Surely, Americans weren't that stupid. You must be leaving something out." It's embarrassing to come from that country.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Michelle 2024❣️

4 ( +8 / -4 )

This campaign looks so well manipulated and calculated on both sides.

For example in the past Obama had projected clear leadership and exceptional oratory skills.

Not sure what the future holds for US.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Was never a fan of her. Always looking to slag off white folks. She gets away with it because shes black and female.

This is the woman that slags off Trump for his language but then invites her rapper friends-who sing only about sex, beating police, and dirt- to the White House. Another hypocrite.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

So once again, the liberals are trying their best to make excuses for what everyone can see with their own eyes despite what Hillarybots want you to believe. Maybe the Russians copied Powell's name or they did a copy and paste or maybe Marco Rubio broke into John Pedesta's PC, orchestrated a move, called someone in China or Russia and someone at the Skywalker Ranch or Disney, digitized worked some magic to manipulate the mails.

One reason why I love liberals is that, the excuses they come up with are incredibly ingenious. LMAO God my stomach hurts, too, too funny!

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

@ commanteer Very, very funny. Don't know if you intended it that way; however, it is hilarious! Thank you.

I'm seeing a great photo of a hug with my own eyes. And Michelle isn't making the devil's horn sign behind Hillary. Hillary is ...smiling and waving.

Oh...all that hatred is just oozing out.

I saw someone say on JT one time that Bush was literally the devil.

By your burden of proof, that means that not only is satan real, he actually became the president of the USA.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

I'm seeing an Academy Award somewhere in the distant horizon.

Well, we are talking about Democrats now....

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Michelle despises Hillary. It is NOT classy to say "If you can't run your own house, you can't run the White House."

But, now she knows that her husband has been implicated in the Hillary email scandal. He LIED to the American people about it. What else is coming?

She desperately wants Hillary elected to save her husband's backside!

She is only a good politician in that she knows votes aren't really that clever. If she keeps harping about women's' issues, women will ignore all the REAL issues involved in this election and just make it about keeping a "bad man" out and putting in a woman. She's reducing it to "Don't be sexist, vote for Hillary". just like it was "Don't be racist, vote for Obama". And probably there are plenty of voters dumb enough to fall for it.

Which....is why the First Lady who traditionally doesn't get involved, has to get involved to help the lying, extremely careless, terribly unpopular HIllary get it. Otherwise, she'll lose. Hillary can't even campaign by herself.

But I have faith that enough Americans will see through it all. But, judging by these comments, I have enough doubts to worry that the Bill and Hillary money-making scam will continue.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

phill1

No its NOT FUNNY! What the GOP has done this election is very damaging & I fear will continue after they lose, BADLY!

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Do you think that a relationship can not be repaired in that time, or that an opinion cannot be changed?

You would have to be incredibly naive to think they actually like each other. This is strictly a business move to promote her husbands legacy.

Eight years ago. In the meantime they worked together for years.

Donald Trump and Hillary were supposedly on very good terms 8 years ago. Do you think 4 years later they will forgive and forget all that has happened during the course of this campaign?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

She's reducing it to "Don't be sexist, vote for Hillary"

As opposed to "Make America Grope Again?"

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Hehe, the righties are out in full-force with tin-foil hat theories again!

They must hate that public opinion has turned against them so much.

I'm loving watching them get angrier and angrier that people have stopped listening to their garbage.

Go Michelle!

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Tin hat? I hate Obama, but I understand the hatred they have for the Clinton's, totally justified

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

"Donald Trump and Hillary were supposedly on very good terms 8 years ago. Do you think 4 years later they will forgive and forget all that has happened during the course of this campaign?"

Very possibly. They both know the game. Sincerity isn't something you'd associate with either of them.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Trump supporters are probably confused by Michelle's words. They are more used to the "I don't support the candidate but I will vote for him" approach their Congressional reps say about Trump. And did Michelle call Hillary by name or default to "the Democratic nominee?"

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Michelle is pure class and that goes beyond politics. She's erudite, eloquent, funny, warm etc she's a gem and is much more than US president's wife.

Melania Trump seems nice too, but in a different category. Ivanka could have been Trump's very own Michelle (if DT had been a completely different man that is!).

0 ( +1 / -1 )

"Michelle is pure class and that goes beyond politics. She's erudite, eloquent, funny, warm etc she's a gem and is much more than US president's wife."

That's the main point. I don't think there is a better contrast to Trump's barrages of trash, vulgarity and stupid s### around for the anti-Trump people than Michelle Obama although Bernie Sanders is a fine example of decency in politics regardless of what you think of his ideology.

The rightists here are skirting around that point.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

"Donald Trump and Hillary were supposedly on very good terms 8 years ago. Do you think 4 years later they will forgive and forget all that has happened during the course of this campaign?"

I doubt it and if I were Trump, I would tell her to go and....

The vitriol and the nastiness of the campaign she led and the vitriol attacks, Trump now sees as Reagan did that Democrats are full of crap. The only way Trump would forgive her is, if she publicly in front of him gave a full decent apology from the heart and that ain't gonna happen.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

"I doubt it and if I were Trump, I would tell her to go and...."

Cut taxes for plutocrats while laughing together at how the whoopers believed the crap he was making up on the spot?

Then again, he doesn't bother paying taxes anyway. I can imagine Hillary cackling hysterically when Trump starts a sentence with "do you remember the time I said.....?"

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Twelve more days to go. First Lady Michelle and President Obama have left an honorable legacy in helping Mrs Hilary Clinton to destroy the political ambitions of Trump the Psychopath and his cronies. Vladimir Putin, Trump's revolutionary hero, recently referred to our nation as "a banana republican."

5 ( +6 / -1 )

@ChinhDao,

Enjoy Clinton`s war with Russia.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Cut taxes for plutocrats while laughing together at how the whoopers believed the crap he was making up on the spot?

Actually, with the disastrous Obamacare new tax hikes coming out on Monday and when people see how much they have pay, a lot of people in America are not going to be happy at all when they see their deductibles, premiums and all the unnecessary mandates they will have to pay. This might work in his favor....

Then again, he doesn't bother paying taxes anyway. I can imagine Hillary cackling hysterically when Trump starts a sentence with "do you remember the time I said.....?"

Hillary can't laugh with the foundation/slush fund she set up and it looks like she was taking everyone to the cleaners. Hillary Clinton, Criminal of the century.

National debt of $19T+, failing Obamacare, M.E. in turmoil, dictators across the globe mocked at U.S..... mean nothing to Michelle Obama! Really, the Dems elites are operating of "the stupidity of American peoples". Luckily Pence cleverly made a wingsuit out of his tinfoil hat, and then saved all the passengers screaming "beat this Sully!!" In free fall.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Madverts: Luckily Pence cleverly made a wingsuit out of his tinfoil hat, and then saved all the passengers screaming "beat this Sully!!" In free fall.

Put it this way ... she's got a $99M war chest and $500M sitting at the Clinton Foundation and covers all threads so well that she planned way back before the Republican primary to push Trump, Carson, and (whoever the third person was) to be the winning Pied Piper candidate in the primary. A history of almost-continuous scandals and mal-performance since Watergate, probably before most people alive today were born. Leaked dirty-tricks operations including riot operations.

Do you think she WOULDN'T try to ice Pence to get Trump-Pence to fail? She's already got Trump iced with bogus accusers coming out of the woodwork and near-total control of the media. But he's rising in the polls! He could beat her by election day!!!

She might even do Kaine in. He canceled his FL appearance today. If he gets whacked could she pencil Bill in as VP candidate?

That'd be historic!

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I just love how someone gave me a thumbs down for posting a video that shows Michael Obama`s friend Creepy Joe Biden with his hands all over multiple little girls! WOW!

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Madverts: Well, extreme paranoia and delusional behavior are the telltale signs of methamphetamine abuse. Trump supporters seem to get to that same special place, I was really hoping it was drug induced behavior rather than the human race compus mentusly lowering itself to the insanity of Donald Trump for president.

91 percent hostile stories against one candidate, 95 percent monetary contributions on the part of the media to the other candidate seem historic but there are probably similar consensuses with the media in 1940's Germany, 1960's China, etc.

Odd that Hillary supporters are so unsuspicious. There's certainly been ample evidence.

Oh, wait! They like BenSmithing sites! Politifact! Snopes! Factcheck! That 'splains it!

I have watched My Girl movie back in 1990s. The leading character young girl was talented, cute and innocent. I still have fond memory of listening "My Girl" "My Girl" song! It was one of the Michale Jackson hit song and collectible.

According wiki leak emails, Hilary Cliton was not my girl or your girl or honest Yankee girl. During her term of Secretary of State, Bill Cliton pocketed charity money 65 millions. How corrupted for stealing money from needy people?

Trump may be rude, out spoken and grouped some women. He did not steal charity.money! If Trump will lose because of the negative publicity, US will become hopeless, worthless and corrupted nation.

this is strictly politics and what the obamas see as their duty to the party. there is no love between hillary and the obamas. if youre a hillary fan youll lap this up and want to believe. the rest of us know better.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Let’s hope the electorate understands that there is at least one thing of which it can be certain: A third Clinton presidency will be built, from the ground up, on self-dealing, crony favors, and an utter disregard for the law. Wikileaks has proven that, this isn’t a guess. And anyone who pulls the lever for Mrs. Clinton takes responsibility for all the blatant corruption that will follow.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Add that Hillary supporters are so unsuspicious.

I think I can clear up your confusion.

You seem to think that if you can just show us how bad Hillary is, we'll all of a sudden support Trump.

What you don't realize is that we've seen what people have pointed out about Hillary, and we've seen what Trump is, and still think that she is infinitely more qualified than Trump.

Maybe it would make it easier for you to understand if you look at it from your own perspective - you've sen how sleazy Trump is, and yet you still support him. Is there anything that would make you suddenly ditch him and go for Hillary? I seriously doubt it, or you already would have. So you've accepted Trump for what he is, and decided he's better than Hillary. Does that mean you are unsuspicious of Trump?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

this is strictly politics and what the obamas see as their duty to the party. there is no love between hillary and the obamas. if youre a hillary fan youll lap this up and want to believe. the rest of us know better.

Pretty much, spot on.

You seem to think that if you can just show us how bad Hillary is, we'll all of a sudden support Trump.

No, we know there's no hope whatsoever for the Hillarybots, we just hope to reach out to the rational independents and some undecided Democrat that can't bring themselves to vote for Hillary.

What you don't realize is that we've seen what people have pointed out about Hillary, and we've seen what Trump is, and still think that she is infinitely more qualified than Trump.

Even though she's a lying, cheating, self-absorbed criminal?? I'm just blown away. Sure, Trump has his faults, but the level of corruption that Hillary is a part of shocked me so, I needed have a very strong drink!

Maybe it would make it easier for you to understand if you look at it from your own perspective - you've sen how sleazy Trump is, and yet you still support him.

Just thinking about Hilary and the Supreme Court would get me to vote for Snoopy if that's the case anyone, a pet rock even!

Is there anything that would make you suddenly ditch him and go for Hillary? I seriously doubt it, or you already would have. So you've accepted Trump for what he is, and decided he's better than Hillary. Does that mean you are unsuspicious of Trump?

After all is said and done, Trump is still a million times better than hiring a woman with fangs and having to sleep always with one eye open.

No. Because she's the corporate Wall Street banker warmonger tool that we all know her to be. Her husband had no problem killing the Iraqi children under his sanctions. Which was started by Sidney Blumenthal.

Let's say for the sake of argument you're right.

LOL, Everyone knows Blumenthal was behind the entire Obama born in Africa rumor. Obama couldn't stand him and he made sure that when Hillary became Secretary of State that he was not allowed anywhere near the White House. Yes, Trump took over the torch, but the birth of it came from Blumenthal. When that rumor came out, the Obama camp were absolutely furious about it.

So? Was Blumenthal saying it until January this year? And even if he was, does that somehow exempt Trump from his bigotry?

Absolutely not, but it's funny how you want to give Hillary and her minions a pass on how racist these people were back then and still now.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

The enemy of my enemy is my friend perhaps? Whether they really love each other or hate each other doesn't really matter because all they need to do is make sure the Dems win and that is now a foregone conclusion.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump is up by 8 points!

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

No, not everyone knows that. It's just one of those lies that you guys continue telling each other and then believing it because someone else tells you the lie you've been spreading.

This particular incident highlights the vast difference in basic integrity between Clinton's team and Trump's. When confronted with a rumor that might be damaging to one's opponent, the person with integrity will first check it out to make sure it is factual. As stated above, team Clinton in 2008 had nothing but contention towards Senator Obama, and if there was any truth to the rumor, they wouldn't have held back on it. Of course, as they soon found out, there wasn't any.

On the other hand, the person with no integrity -- Trump -- will ignore the evidence that the rumor is NOT true, and, without any supporting evidence, start to spread it. That's far worse than deplorable; that's pure scum.

I expect he'll go off on some random tangent rather than admit it though.

Oh, no doubt.

Mrs. Obama and Clinton talked up their shared respect, common values and singular goal: Defeating Republican Donald Trump. They papered over a somewhat rocky history and their vastly different paths through public life.

You here a lot these days from the other guys about the need to come together. I think we see here a level unity and a willingness to compromise to achieve a common purpose. Which is victory at the polls and enacting policies to help the common American.

Hillary and her wall street pals would be laughing at the credulity of the US public were it not for the fact that she is utterly failing to pull the wool over the eyes of enough of the public to assure she"ll be elected.

Meanwhile elizabeth warren is pul;ling out the stops - the deal has been made and watch - if hillary is elected warren will get her reward.

Strangerland, I was speaking from a historical perspective.

Trump needs to check data before he criticize anything. he was criticizing Obamacare an he said hiis employees obamacare screwed up. their health. Then his exective announced His employees are always taken care by Trump supplying healthcare and never particiiipated in Obamacare. Later, Trump was praised and he agreed with his executive but too late. His Obamacare protest was now replaced by his next bark.

You're seriously gonna link to an article on Zerohedge with some pictures of what other people think these women feel about each other and call that proof? Sure doesn't take much to convince you then!

It's extremely easy to determine what bass will consider as absolute and undeniable proof. It works like this:

Q) Is it anti-left/anti-democrat?

Yes - then it's undeniable proof.

No - then it's undeniably false.

toshiko, obamacare IS an absolute disaster.

toshiko, obamacare IS an absolute disaster.

Yeah, it's a disaster that all those poor people can actually get health care now. It should be reserved for the rich. Can't be taking care of the lower class, it might go to their heads.

@Strangerland. First I am a proponent of a single payer system. I think everyone should have access to affordable health care. I am American but I prefer Japan's system. I also own a business here so I know that the "premiums" are not free however I think the payroll deduction mechanism is fair as if you make more money you pay more. Also the "premiums" in Japan are not at all cheap if you make a good salary. This is offset, however, by the very low cost (relative to the US at least) of health services.

I completely agree with you that poor people should be able to have insurance. On the other hand however, the Affordable Care Act is a disaster. Insurance companies are dropping out and small business owners are being really hurt by this. President Obama told Americans were told the premiums would go down on average $2,500 a year and strongly stated Americans could keep their insurance if they liked it. None of this happened. Premiums have gone up and even worse the deductibles have skyrocketed. Also the ACA did not address issues related to litigation.

The mechanism for funding health care in the U.S. is a disaster.

I agree with your points, and there are obviously huge problems, all because of the lack of the single-payer system. Obama should have just pushed that without trying to be bipartisan. I'm sure it's something he regrets now.

But that all said, for all the problems, the fact is that millions of people who previously just had to suffer if they had any medical issues are now able to get medical help. If that costs some money, then so be it. Life is more important than money. If you took away health care for the rich, I guarantee they would be singing a different tune than they are now.

This is also the problem with running a country like a business, which Trump wants to do. With a business, you drop unprofitable ventures. With a country, sometimes you take the hit for the sake of the people. Health care shouldn't be an option, it should be a right.

He does? Then why is he claiming his employees are having troubles with obamacare? If he were paying for their healthcare, they wouldn't need obamacare.

@Strangerland

We agree on the single payer system. I am not sure if the President was trying to be bi-partisan or not. The way the legislation was passed (including the addition of 500 plus pages the day before the vote) was really fishy. I still remember listing to Nancy Pelosi saying "We have to pass the bill to see what's in it"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV-05TLiiLU

People were also being called "racist" for not supporting the ACA.

I do not like using the term "Obamacare" as this bill was not written by President Obama. It was written by insurance company lobbyists, etc. Therefore I only hold President Obama responsible for pushing this forward, not for the contents.

There was little transparency during this process and one of the biggest criticisms lodged against Ms. Clinton in 1993 when she tried to engage in health care reform as first lady was that the meetings related to this were held in secret. I think if her and Donna Shalala would have been more open and transparent in 1993 they may have actually been able to accomplish something.

A country cannot be run like a business as in its pure sense a business is engaged in activities to produce a return on investment to the investors while a country should be run to defend the nation, provide governance required to maintain law and order, ensure the country's infrastructure is maintained and developed to serve the public good and also assist in developing and maintaining a healthy economy...etc...etc...etc.

To what level the government should be involved in the health care system is debatable. Prior to living in Japan I was strongly against a single payer system. After living in Japan I completely changed my mind.

For me, to do this in the U.S., the litmus test would be

Do this in an open and transparent way. No closed door meetings - at all. Heavily involve physicians in the process. Ensure US health care costs are brought down in line with international norms Institute a payroll tax similar to Japan's to fund this (we will not need medicare anymore so that payroll tax can go away) Provide strong tort reform (this would significantly lower costs) Provide a strong IT backbone to minimize overhead costs and ensure efficiency

I am sure there are more...

@Strangerland :The only people who say this were never going to vote for Hillary, Bernie or Michelle in the first place.

Strangerland, I know you want to believe this. I guess the simplified view of a complex situation makes it easier for you, but in fact you are quite wrong.

Outrider, I know you want to belive I'm wrong. I guess that you don't want to believe in Occam's Razor, and prefer to see unlikely conspiracy theories wherever you look, but in fact, you are quite wrong.
