Certainly the Russians have denied any wrongdoing. We all know that Russia doesn't like Latvia these days.

Wouldn't it be terrible if the ship "accidentally" sank? It would be a complete accident and nobody would know why. I wouldn't be surprised if due process challenges happened for the entire crew of this ship.

Their case might be delayed for years and since they are all flight risks, they'd need to be held in "protective custody" so no harm came to them.

Actually it would. The ship is evidence in a criminal investigation. You want to preserve it so you can analyze it carefully.

A genuine series of accidents with no actual proof/evidence of some nefarious Russian plot.
