Sweden's economy has not suffered as badly as the other Nordic countries that imposed tight lockdowns.

Sweden's government defended its response to the COVID-19 global pandemic on Tuesday despite the Scandinavian country now reporting one of the highest mortality rates in the world with 4,125 fatalities, or about 40 deaths per 100,000 people.

Looks awful at a glance, but Sweden's numbers are almost the same as those in some lockdown European states. Sweden has kept running its economy, a big advantage for smooth recovery. It also poses a question about the effectiveness of lockdown strategy.

This is all still fog of war, with conflicting numbers from different places with different situations.

I predict that when this thing finally has blown over, the final numbers will be very similar everywhere, lockdown or not, and mostly depend on the statistical age and general health of the population.
