Syria should take US to the ICC. Oh wait...

Oil sales were a big part of how Daesh financed their wars. Taking those oil fields from Daesh was a major goal of all the military organizations involved in Syria. It starved them of revenue to buy weapons and all those shiny new Toyota trucks you always saw them driving around in big convoys.

Yes, and now it starves the Syrian government of its legitimate income. I get that Israel and the US establishment is hell-bent on destroying the Assad regime, but do they seriously not comprehend that a Sunni takeover in Damascus would be infinitely worse?

And I'm trying to square what's being reported in this article with what I've read from some, i.e. that oil, gas and their shipment are NOT why Russia, Turkey, Iran the US and other states are involved in Syria.

If I can believe this article, it appears Trump hasn't 'brought all US troops home'. hmmm

You did not know that? No, he is still occupying the Syrian oil fields, which is something that I and others have criticizsed him for.

Of course, if he did remove the last occupying troops, the mainstream media would crucify him for that. Damned if he does, damned if he does not.

The Syrian government is in cahoots with Putin, who, according to Trump haters, is in cahoots with Trump. What gives?

llegedly because oil fields in eastern regions have fallen under control of American troops and U.S.-backed Syrian Kurdish fighters.

Oil rich Syria is having a fuel crisis? No joke, unless what its oil minister claimed is true. "The severe fuel crisis is the result of Western sanctions, as oil fields in eastern regions have fallen under control of US troops too."

Apparently such is the case, after 9 years of war, Syrians are buying extra-expensive limited petrol. Has the war-torn nation started to bring back its refugees that made up half of its original population to rebuild the nation? What a nation, in great sorrow and pain...

So why won’t the Pentagon support Trump in that? Hmmm....

I just hope these military heads wake up, put their personal political ambitions aside and get our troops out, listen to Trump on this one, nothing to gain in Syria.
