Al-Qaeda is stooge of Erdogan. Turkey shelling empty areas of Idlib to give safety to Al-Qaeda and warning the advancing syrian army. When ISIS was under attack by Kurdish forces, Erdogan bombed the Kurds. Only a fool will believe Erdogan.

I support the Kurds... They seem to be the most principled people in the Middle East. Turkey seems to be going off the deep end.

brBush Everybody else, whether it be a Turkish soldier, American "special ops", ISIS, Al Qaeda or whatever is either an invader, criminal or brigand.

If you add Russian and Iranian troops and those they use as proxy forces, I agree.

In my mind Russia being 'invited' by Assad and his fellow kleptocrats to murder Assad's varied opponents does not justify Russian military presence there.

I understand Russian oligarchs (plus US and others throughout the planet) want to control world petroleum markets. But it's time for the world to stop burning so much petroleum and find energy alternatives, stop letting this tiny group of the world's richest and most powerful destroy the planet for their gain.

The 'conservatives' of the world, be they in the US, Russia, somewhere in Europe, MENA, wherever, those who want to return to some fictional 'great' period, are sending the 99% to the edge of the cliff with wars being fought for their sole benefit and while polluting the planet.

This is NOT about petroleum, it's about natural gas. The US HAS control the petroleum with the petrodollar. Qatar and Iran share a huge, mostly untapped natural gas field. Qatar was siding up to Iran to market the gas, which is why they are being economically attacked. The oligarchs wanted the pipeline to go through Syria but Assad said no, in favor of an Iranian route. Your "Russia" fetish is cute but way off the mark in terms global control.

This is NOT about petroleum, it's about natural gas.

It's about hydrocarbons more specifically. Both oil and natural gas. And for some in the US, coal.

Your "Russia" fetish is cute but way off the mark in terms global control.

Is your point that Putin and his oligarchs are in some way better than the other oligarchs? I say each of the factions - Russian, US, European, Chinese, MENA, whichever group Trump's part of - is just as bad as the each of the others.

It's about hydrocarbons more specifically.

Globally yes, but with Syria, no, it's definitely about natural gas.

Is your point that Putin and his oligarchs are in some way better than the other oligarchs?

C'mon. Of course not

I say each of the factions - Russian, US, European, Chinese, MENA, whichever group Trump's part of - is just as bad as the each of the others.

Spare us the Trump cheap shots. I think your radar is broken if you think this has anything to do with any POTUS.

The UN should be telling turkey to leave.

Spare us the Trump cheap shots.

When Trump and his family members (Kushners) have long been shown to have business and political connections with Russian oligarchs, with Erdogan, with Netanyahu, with Qatari, Saudi and UAE royal families, with Chinese 'financiers' among others, and also with Trump having appointed Tillerson and others from global US oil corporations to key admin positions, it's pretty hard for me to 'spare' Trump.

Your faith in the MSM is hilarious. You can pretend this all started under Trump if you like, but it just makes your arguments weaker than a wet tissue.

I take this very serious as it has caused so much death and destruction. You belittle this death and destruction with your pseudo-intellectual Trump remarks.

In other words, you have no resources you can refer back to or provide that would show Trump's not part of one of the 'globalist' factions Trump supporters assailed prior to his election. Only your personal opinion and more personal attacks.
