FYI, the definition of a mercenary is ‘ Motivated solely by a desire for monetary or material gain’ You’ll find that most of the foreign soldiers are ‘volunteers’ - fighting for a cause - freedom. That concept may be hard for you to believe, considering you’ve been advocating Ukraine hand over their country to tyrannical Russian rule. Easy to say when you’re enjoying the comforts & freedom that the west offers you

Ukraine is at a disadvantage here as NATO will not send troops to help them, but Syria sends troops to help Russia. Frankly. I think that direct NATO involvement is ultimately inevitable. And if so, better to do it now than later. We need to stop playing by Putin's rules.

There are at present no Syrians fighting in Ukraine. There are US, UK, German, Polish ,Spanish and other mercenaries on the Ukrainian side. Only fair to report both sides.

Captured Syrian fighters will bring out every islamophobic impulse in Ukrainians risking their lives to defend their families and homeland. Few Syrians will live to tell their story.
