To people who are putting thumbs down to me: please, tell me, how do you call that "social distance"? I am speechless.

Where are all the WHO defenders now? Taiwan shut down travel from China even when the WHO was promoting it as being unnecessary.

I understand you are all defending Taiwan because it is against China bla bla bla but I am speaking about another thing...People can't be objective at all apparently. I wonder why in Taiwan the situation is so drastically different from what is happening in Western Europe, and no, it's obvious they aren't doing any social distance, despite what most of news tell us.

Demagogues are widespread around the world. They always exploit the prejudice and hate of seemingly weak and defenseless groups of people, well established among uneducated people. China has been an easy target. Even it is a communist country. Those uneducated people criticize the food culture of China, but acknowledge or even praise the gun culture and widespread mass shootings in the U.S. The Ethiopian microbiologist is another easy target, as people think he is from the 3 world, and under-qualified as the head of the WHO. The consistent criticisms of China and then WHO by Trump were a cunning decoy for seeking scapegoats to escape from his own responsibility. Interestingly, many people outside of the U.S. agree with Trump on attacking China and WHO. Quixotic.

Ghebreysus helped China lie to the world about the seriousness of the viral outbreak in Wuhan.

As late as January 13, WHO claimed that the virus could not spread spread human-to-human. The lie was still being spread that the virus in Wuhan was caused by bat soup.

WHO backed China’s ridiculous claim that only 3,300 people died in a China as a result of the WuHan virus. No one believes that, because it is an absurd lie. Many more thousands of Chinese died of the virus. 

When the US enacted the China travel ban on January 30, China’s Foreign Ministry pushes back. It called the China travel ban racist. 

Ghebreysus, answering to his bosses in Beijing, also called travel bans unhelpful. 

It is time for a new World Health Organization, one that advances world health, not just the political aims of Beijing.

Unfortunately, due to the CPP's refusal to recognize Taiwan as an independent nation, we have the WHO, a non-political organization, put in a tough spot because they want to stay non-political and help the people of the world. Now Trump is now casting doubt on the efficacy of the WHO, saying they are in the CPP's pocket.

This in turn leads to the WHO having to dedicate resources to their political image, resources that should be spent on fighting this virus for the people of the world.

This is damaging. The CPP's refusal to accept the facts, combined with Trump's limited intellect in understanding that the WHO is riding a fine line, is damaging to the people of the world.

Both of the leaders of these nations should be disgusted in themselves. We should all be disgusted in them.

During the press conference he spoke of the abuse -- including racial slurs -- he had been subjected to since the public health crisis began.

WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is the one guilty of abusing the people of Taiwan by his refusal to let Taipei join or even attend scientific and health related meetings regarding the Wuhan Covid-19 pneumonia.

His disregard for the health of the Taiwanese people by refusing them WHO membership is a gross violation of their human rights and therefore is against the UN Charter making him a candidate for investigation by the ICC.

BTW, he should know that China and Taiwan are different countries.

They write and speak differently and govern themselves independently from each other with the former enjoying authoritarian dictatorship and the latter a verdant democracy.

Heck, they even da-kine hold their chopsticks differently !

The WHO's refusal to let TW join is a crime against humanity and a form of medical genocide coz such a brutal act puts the lives of the Taiwanese men, women, elderly and their children in total danger when deadly pandemics like Wuhan Covid -19 spreads like a wildfire.

Such a callous act by The WHO is therefore akin to gross aggression and even worst than da-kine war crimes .
