CCP should stop playing political games, and take practical measures to control the pandemic as soon as possible without resorting to vaccine diplomacy and undermining relations with it's friends (not that it has any) and neighbors.

Someone’s playing silly buggers. Be safe Taiwan, on all fronts.

a tyranical dictatorship is speaking, why should anyone listen? Long time coming for the world to recognize Taiwan as a country and stop enabling China.

As always, China is carrying out an all-fronts war. But more and more the world is catching on to their game.

The Information Age is a beautiful thing, and dangerous. It’s particularly dangerous for gullible people who want to believe something.

Spot on. And self-awareness is the first step to get out of an information bubble.

China should be embarrassed to make such comments, after all, they started the whole Covid thing.

The Taiwan government's mismanagement has resulted in a water crisis, a major train disaster, economic decline, and now a new COVID epidemic, among other failures. Of course, the Taiwan government is not responsible for any of this.

I don't believe Taiwan

Both China and Russia employing the subversion tactic a lot, been their main military strategy for decades. They believe that combat is the lowest form of war.

The tactic is to make an enemies’ society believe that everything is fake news and likely false by using disinformation. It’s called the de-moralization phase of subversion and takes decades.

It’s blatantly obvious that it happens through the comments and profiles on this very news site.

The Information Age is a beautiful thing, and dangerous

the problem is, the only information the Chinese people get, is that which the CCP allows it to get

It's pretty obvious that the CCP is doing this on a global scale. There are quite a few "commenters" even here that actively engage in such propaganda tactics hoping some of their mis-truths will stick.

Too bad the ROC lost the war to the CCP. Taiwan's current democratic government was hard fought over Taiwan's history and didn't come suddenly.

Joey Stalin, nice bit of misinformation there, just to clarify the water shortage is down to variations in weather patterns, even your favourite dictatorships can’t control the weather. The train disaster was caused by a sloppy sub contractor not abiding by the rules. Yep obviously the governments fault, the entire legislative should have been on site to supervise him in person! Their economy is doing fine and they did a great job of controlling the Wuhan virus but they are having difficulties getting vaccines in part due to China blocking their access to the WHO and its vaccine programme.

So other than that you were spot on!

even your favourite dictatorships can’t control the weather.

On a trip to SE/Central Asia about a decade ago, after a tsunami hit, the person sitting next to me on an inter-city bus actually asked if the USA was modifying the weather? I'm not joking.

As for misinformation, China, Russia, NK definitely do it. But I have no illusion that western/NATO countries don't do it too. We do. There is always a slant on all reporting. The trick is for locals to recognize the slant exists and know how far each country is willing to lie. Now that the prior ex-loser is gone, hopefully, the US will drastically cut the lies that aren't necessary to keep people safe, worldwide.

It is hard for China, Russia, NK to stop lying. It has been part of those govts for 70+ yrs. Deflect, deny, and make up any crazy story to explain stuff that is clear to all. Places with a free press that aren't afraid of being "disappeared" don't have that luxury. The story will always get out, eventually.
