China isn't Canada's friend, or anyone else's. I'd be happy with Taiwan trade over China

The US doesn't recognize Taiwan as an independent country. Until it does, neither will Japan or the rest of the nations. All are kotowing to the behemoth dragon.

Its criminal that the free, democratic nation of Taiwan was not included in the RCEP. All nations that signed it are scared of Communist China. Taiwan absolutely must be permitted into the CPTPP, as they are an example to the world in strong, democratic leadership, quality hi-tech goods, and world-leading response to Covid.

I would like a third Trans-Pacific partnership to be founded - this time one with Taiwan and any other free, democratic Asia Pacific nation - India included - but NO Communist nations permitted.

@sf2K, this Canadian loved his visit to Taiwan, but was a bit on edge during his jaunt from there into China. As far as trade with Taiwan goes, l think Canada is doing that on a decent scale. Our government simply lacks the courage to make it an issue. And that's a pity.
