We saw the same thing in Ukraine. Billionaires were desperately arming and training civilians to fight on their behalf. It's the 21st century equivalent of the nobility handing out pitchforks to the peasants and telling them to lay down their lives for their lord. The wealthy elites in Taiwan stand to lose everything if China invades, but the average working man does not. He may even end up better off if China copies Russia's playbook and writes off all mortgages/debts owed to Taiwanese banks.

A militarized civilian population is what's working in Ukraine. One of the components of why a military operation that was supposed to take "weeks" has gone half a year, and still going. Is China prepared to "re-unify" by killing everyone on Taiwan?

Deranged. These private armies are never up to any good. Look at the traitor militia scum in the USA, they genuflected to a traitor dictator. And do we know this oaf isn't a traitor working on behalf of the CCP?

Train them in insurgency. There is a limit to how effective they can be in Taiwan if China floods the place with soldiers, or destroys it like Russia is doing in Ukraine.

Get them into China with the intention of bumping off Xi and as many senior CCP figures as they can, targeting infrastructure, and doing the most damage possible with targeted attacks. Don't stop destroying China's government and infrastructure until their army leave Taiwan.

This is what Ukraine should be doing in Russia, but governments won't do this. Political leaders are all part of the same club, and won't target each other.
