So, you won’t be needing any international aid then, correct?

Earthquakes, famine, disease, blah blah blah, you got it 100%, right?

All without resorting to your old standbys of global terror basing and massive opium trafficking?

Ok, talked me into it.

He warned that non-Muslim nations would always be opposed to a pure Islamic state...

Opposed to a pure Islamic state?

Of course!

No.

You don't need to listen. As long as you aren't killing your own people and even if you do, Europe has had enough. Of course, your new friends, the Chinese and Russians, will happily loan you money for a promise of a favor in the future.

Russia and PRC could care less what the Taliban do to the Afghani people, as long as Russia and China get the abundant natural resources available in the country. In fact, a stone-age people are less likely to complain about things like pollution and environmental consequences, because they won't understand the side effects of any resource-harvesting in their provinces.

and told men they should dress in traditional garb and grow their beards.

So, grown men wear a dress but you have to grow a beard so nobody mistakes you for a woman? Is that it?

I'd say sure, no interference in the form of foreign aid, access to modern medical and optical technology. See how well they can do when their, cough cough. leadership can't get glasses or treatments for whatever ales them. No help with agriculture (they seem to have growing opium poppies down pretty well and seem to care less about growing food). No help repairing their decrepit hydroelectric dams or thermal power plants. Let the lights go out entirely. Give them no help of any kind. Let them live a 7th Century existence. Isn't that what they want?
