...and they say Taliban is poor(?) who supplies them cars, explosive and other arms so that they can challenge world's super power?

yeah holed up in a cave like a cockroach. Great life. BTW if these people had anything to live for (money, family) they would not be terrorists, they would be businessmen.

People with something to lose do not risk everything for nothing.

The Taliban have no rules. They fight from homes while the inhabitants huddle in fear. They exploit rules of engagement on Nato troops by heading into Marjah with women and children forced to walk with them holding the Taliban's weapons and supplies.

gutless cowards who run back into their holes in the ground like trapdoor spiders. Lets give the taliban their own island in some faraway place (how about the world islands in dubai) and then they can live by their own laws on their own island. So tired of these moronic spastics

Outnumbered and outgunned, Taliban fighters are mounting a tougher fight than expected in Marjah...sounds a bit like CoD2. But more seriously why would they try to stand and fight? Martyrdom? Nowhere else to run to? Guerrilla tactics no longer working (which have for the past numerous wars)?

You know Team Taliban thinks they are fighting the just fight. Unfortunately a lot will die before they learn differently and are reprogrammed, but they got lots of reason to fight their little hearts out.

I'd like to see them surrender and live longer. < :-)

not sure where I ever read that the Taliban are poor>? Uneducated and backwards maybe, but never heard anyone say they were poor. They are supported and finaced by the worlds largest cash crop and export of dope. Poor? Me no thinks so. I would not exactly call them a challenge to the world's super power, a major irritant sure, but a challenge, not on their lives.

These cockroaches need to be exterminated. Any people or nations who fight wars for religion are misguided, dangerous to "normal" people and should be killed.

Tough.

Hunting those guys in the mountains is a difficult job. What is going on is not a conventional war but a guerilla war. Less reliance on technolgy, more reliance on footwork, intelligence - if you can get them. Taliban are terrorists to outsiders but they seem to have supporters among many of locals. That is why this war is dragging on.

If you cannot get good intelligence, which in turn relies on trust and - well, shall we say - benefits in some cases, this fight will take longer.

US and other nations should not expect a quick result in Afghanistan.
