I am starting to suspect that the Aghan government troops aren't even putting up a fight and just surrendering. Cities and town are getting captured at a unbelieable speed. And they did it with way lower number of troops and weapons than the actual Afghan government. US wasted 10 years there training and preparing them. That place is corrupt to the core.

You can bet all the weapons stockpiles, planes, tanks, drones etc are gonna end up in the Taliban hands.

A man of FAITH is unstoppable.

These people have defeated so many invaders, kicked out several occupiers, and never given up to anyone, now they are on the march again to take back their country.

I wonder how China will react with the threat of the Taliban on the border of Xinjiang. My Uyghurs, the dominant minority in Xinjiang and heavily persecuted by Beijing, also live in Easter Afghanistan. China certainly will not welcome a fundamentalist Islamic government on that border.

remember that “intelligence community” that we must believe always and forever without question?

US intelligence agencies who said just 4 days ago that Kabul could fall in 90 days have revised the figure to 72 hours

The result of the failed, incompetent bungling of the past four years...

8 years, it was Barack’s idea to go into Afghanistan

Oh, dear.

Bush 2 started this. Obama, Trump and Biden were left to pick up the pieces. All can be criticised largely depending on which partisan viewpoint you take. My take is that all of them were on a hiding to nothing whichever way they went.

Bush 2 has to shoulder the most of the blame for this. Absolute car crash of a President.

By the way, do you and your unnamed non-partisan historians still regard him as a successful president?

And yet another failure by Joe and company. When will the madness end???

Joe? he inherited George’s, Baracks mess and most pertinently Donalds disastrous “peace deal” with the Taliban. Trumps failed deal was the nail in the coffin.

Afghanistan has been corrupt, ineffective and incompetent since the beginning of this era, UN Envoy Peter Galbraith was recalled for pointing out the massive corruption in 2009 with then President Karzai and elections back then.

Afghans troops are quoted as being: incompetent, unmotivated, demoralized and ill equipped.

The reason Afghanistan was invaded was to eliminate Al Qaida. That was the Talibans biggest mistake - harboring them. I feel this new taliban will have learned that lesson, keep to themselves and break off ties.

I have sympathy for the girls and women, and all the moderates who were enjoying a freer modern existence. Who now have to go back the full beards and burkas. no music or kites.

Is not going to be a good life for women there. I feel bad for them.

Now it’s 5000 troops being sent instead of 3000.

Wow, someone needs a basic history course....which President launched Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001?

The cowardly "cut and run" Trump strategy - as seen in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan...

Obama did that in Iraq and now Biden is doing it in Afghanistan and neither of them left a contingency force as suggested to do.

Trump's knows nothing except running away....par for the course for a draft-dodger..."Ow, my bone spurs"....

What was more of a disaster, Trump's COVID catastrophe or his foreign policy debacles?

Neither.

Both - but with Abbott and DeSantis' debacles in their states, the abysmal COVID response comes out on top...

If Joe had stuck to the deal instead of grandstanding and wanting to make a point about leavng on 9/11 then maybe the Taliban would have been more inclined to work with the Afghan government for a bit. Instead he broke the deal and prompted the Taliban to believe that the US was breaking its word.

Sure it's time to leave but could have been done very differently

The troop withdrawal was Trump's doing.

The organization and planning were Bidens doing, just like he's handling the border.

Our lame-duck president just cannot figure out what it means to lead.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

This began from Bush, etc.. Biden is the less resposible..

No, not for the withdrawal, that’s 100% on Biden. Trump initiated it, but he wanted and was clear about making sure the Taliban never become a threat and wanted a small residual force present that was reported by formal general Jack Keane and Mike Pompeo. Biden just left and not just leave, but left a huge chunk of our military equipment for the Taliban and there’s no doubt they’ll sell or negotiate to hand some of it over to the Chinese, Russians and Iranians or even the Pakistanis. This is just a huge mess of biblical proportions.

People stop blaming President Trump. He is no long in power. If Biden has the power to erase everything Trump did, to which he did on day one, and everything is falling apart, it only goes to show that Trump did it right and Biden is doing it wrong. Please wake up to the reality! Stop blaming Trump for Biden's decisions.

KentarogaijinToday, First, we all know Trump won so your "Trump Lost Lol" on your JT image is incorrect. Second, Joe and company are clearly dictators and clearly destroying America and have MSM in their pockets. Wake up and look at the facts. Stop watching Left-wing media.

Check out the photos.

No rubbish in the streets, green grass on the verge, planted flowers, ( I suppose) running water and electricity.

Thank you America and good bye.

Who was VP under Barack for the 8 years of failures?

"Donalds disastrous “peace deal” ": Seemed to have worked fine when President Trump was president. It all fell apart from January 20th 2021.

"Trumps failed deal was the nail in the coffin." : Do you mean Joe's illegitimate presidency is the nail in the coffin?

Stop watching Left news.
