God, please.

Just, no.

Good idea. It will be entertaining to watch his brain decay in real time and see how they cut his suits to mask the diaper bulge...and, since he left, all of the late night hosts are flopping around like beached fish having gotten used to such easy programming of Human bizarreness made large. Actually, all we really see now are the nail scrapes in the face and body of the Republican party as he desperately tries to hang on as relevant but McConnell's coup de grace may mitigate even trump's ability to snow the slow...

17 ( +21 / -4 )

Sounds like another scam to pay for his legal bills. Impeached twice, hotels and casinos bankrupt six times, lost the House, the Senate and the WH, and the hits just keep on coming. Big time loser with a groveling entourage, pretty disgusting.....and dangerous.

22 ( +25 / -3 )

Pretty hard to run a campaign from jail.

18 ( +22 / -4 )

Can't wait to see this clown lose another election.

16 ( +19 / -3 )

The only thing running in 2024 will be the drool down his chin.

17 ( +23 / -6 )

Can't wait to see this clown lose another election.

That would be nice,

but who knows what further damage Trump's supporters will do to the country. They are heavily armed and violence-prone (see Jan 6 failed attempt to steal the election for their Trump).

And with Flynn and others suggesting a military coup ala Myanamr to put 45 back in office. It seems the country will be at further risk because of 45's delusions.

Trump Just stay in Maf-a-lago with your fellow Floridamen .Trump and his fellow insurrectionists have done more than too much damage to the remaining bits of US democracy. Which no doubt pleases authoritarians and other anti-democrcy supporters around the globe.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

They tried to overthrough the government already. Given a second chance they will actively destroy the electon booths and votes this time, they can't lose what cannot be counted.

Hopefully he'll be arrested soon for his business crimes.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

But he’s going to be president again in August…I heard it from a former crackhead who sells pillows.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Its a conundrum, what should be the better repeat? 2016 and watching entitled woke college students crying or 2020 and watching deranged trumpards praying and breaking down.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Hopefully Trump will be in prison before the year ends with his entire family. The only question is will he run from prison?

4 ( +8 / -4 )

It’s not that he’s a narcissistic sociopath (even though he is). It’s not that he’s a compulsive liar (though he is). It’s not that he’s a moronic simpleton (though he is). It’s not that he’s a fraud (though he is). It’s not even that he’s an obvious criminal (though he CLEARLY is).

It’s that he is crazy. He is obviously mentally deranged. Anyone who believes that he will be reinstated by August and encourages a violent mob of conspiracy cultists to believe the same is almost by definition insane.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Plus regardless of what some “predict”, Cy Vance is coming. Trump will I think be indicted on charges of fraud (bank, tax, insurance - basically any word that can be combined with fraud) before his term expires. The paper trail and list of flipped insiders will be overwhelming. He is going to be in prison in 2024. Probably soiling a low-quality adult diaper.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Regardless of why people voted for Biden, the voted for him, and not the former guy in record numbers.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

In a rhyming couplet (and put in a nutshell),

Trump in orange ensconced in a cell,

Will end speculation and spare us more hell.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

I heard it from a former crackhead who sells pillows.

Who like his fellow 45 cultists, spouts big lies, thinking they are protected by free speech laws, these are the same people who also think revenge porn is free speech protected.

In other words they are NOT reasonable people, roughly 72 million Amerricans fall under the same NOT reasonable umbrella.Fortunately they are a minority of Americans. Unfortunately the NOT reasonableAmericans are heavily armed and violence prone (see Jan 6th trump Republican failed coup)

8 ( +9 / -1 )

It will be the end of the GOP if Mr. Trump runs again, and the democrats will win again & again for as long as Trump keeps trying to RAPE the U.S.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

One more point, may be Mr. Trump will run to save himself from Prosecutors closing in on him.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Twice Impeached and why not Twice defeated, LOL

7 ( +9 / -2 )

It will be the end of the GOP if Mr. Trump runs again

The GOP will continue its race-based fear spreading, in the Party's ongoing efforts to push white nationalism, there are lots of Americans who are so afraid of others (see Tucker Carlson / Hannity fan bases) the GOP know they have a solid base. Plus read this forum to note how much support the GOP has with White Americans and others in global alt right movements.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Oh DT please go and disappear under the rock your crawled from. This world need less narcissism not more!

8 ( +9 / -1 )

That would be nice,

This time and especially with what we know now, conservatives and the GOP are laying the groundwork that voting irregularities won’t be a topic of big concern

but who knows what further damage Trump's supporters will do to the country.

Nothing anymore than what the Dems have done except cast a ballot.

They are heavily armed and violence-prone (see Jan 6 failed attempt to steal the election for their Trump).

I know, that’s the lefts safe space and with nothing else to hold onto, let’s go back to Jan. 6 and hold onto that one day for as long as we can.

And with Flynn and others suggesting a military coup ala Myanamr to put 45 back in office. It seems the country will be at further risk because of 45's delusions.

Hmmm, Dems tried to take out Trump by any means necessary and used a false and salacious and unverified dossier to get the ball rolling with the help of some corrupt FBI agents that felt they had the right to overturn a duly elected President and not even an hour into his inauguration, the NYT headline read: now the impeachment begins. Nice try. There’s a difference between saying and suggesting something and then actually acting out on that. The FBI acted, but failed and miserably.

Trump Just stay in Maf-a-lago with your fellow Floridamen .

No, he doesn’t have to and it’s funny, the Dems tried and so now they want to go after him in NYC and THINK for some odd reason that they can build some case to get him locked up even though they know that will be a very high bar to even come close to, so they hope they can at least financially punish him as much as they can. Well, as Jonathan Turley and Allan Dershowitz said, it’s pretty much going to be impossible and this is from two Hillary supporting Democrats.

Trump and his fellow insurrectionists

It wasn’t an insurrection, if it were then Biden’s department of justice we have charge them with interaction, but they couldn’t, because they know it was an insurrection, so the only thing that they could do was charged with trespassing and unlawful breaking and entering.

-20 ( +3 / -23 )

This time and especially with what we know now, conservatives and the GOP are laying the groundwork that voting irregularities won’t be a topic of big concern

Great! So if he is solidly defeated again you’ll have no excuses or complaints.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

This time and especially with what we know now, conservatives and the GOP are laying the groundwork that voting irregularities won’t be a topic of big concern

There were no voting irregularities. This is a lie. To call something a lie, the statement has to be false, the person knows it is false, and he/she says it anyway.

This is a lie. The only reason this is a topic of "concern" to Trump's cult base is because many "conservatives" (I would refer to them as pseudo-fascists, but whatever) keep spouting obviously disprovable lies because when people vote, Republicans lose.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

One more point, may be Mr. Trump will run to save himself from Prosecutors closing in on him.

The only thing this would do would be to delay the inevitable, and the only way to stop the prosecutors would be for him to win.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

You know, I dont want him to run again. There are enough bright young people in the GOP to carry the torch into the next decade.

Having said that, I have to laugh. The mere mention of "Trump" in a headline here still causes instant vituperation and chaos. The former president is STILL living rent-free in so many peoples' heads! Just check the comments- more here than in every other news article combined.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

Didn’t read the article and don’t care to. I for one have had enough of that sociopath taking up anymore of my time.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

It wasn’t an insurrection

So what's a better term for a mob trying to locate the Electoral College ballots or threatening to hang Mike Pence because of his refusal to overturn the election results? Youthful exuberance?

Remember also the chant "Fight for Trump!"

It was an insurrection.

with nothing else to hold onto, let’s go back to Jan. 6 and hold onto that one day for as long as we can.

Your man and his sycophants continue to push the big lie that led to January 6. So, yeah, it's important to hold onto that day. Otherwise it's going to happen again, and worse.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Great! So if he is solidly defeated again you’ll have no excuses or complaints

“If” it is fair, then No.

There have never been enough voting irregularities to be of concern in our country.

Ok, that’s your opinion, but anyway, the GOP already in 12 States are making sure it won’t happen and the best part is, Dems can’t do anything to stop it.

Ironic coming from the poster who endlessly holds onto the idea that liberals are the source of all evil.

Not quite entirely and it’s not liberals as much as it is about their toxic policies that are the problem.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Lots of Trump hate here...

After all the mayhem this mentally-impaired piece of work has wrought, what's not to hate about this despicable, pathetic specimen of humanity? In 2024 the majority will MAGA by ensuring that never again will the irresolute DJT get another opportunity to park himself behind the resolute desk for a photo-op in the Oval Office.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Always accusing those who comment on the ex president of rage and anger. It’s not that at all. Plenty of chortles and guffaws, it’s pure entertainment.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Maybe he can set up a new blog very soon - titled, From the prison cell of Donald J. Trump.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump/Desantis 2024

or if Trump wants to hang out backstage then

Desantis/Pompeo 2024

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Whatever the outcome, and I suspect Trump will not run again, it is clear that he is a lightning rod for attention. His name is a guarantee of coverage in any media story. Just look at what is happening here: Three articles on President Biden have so far garnered a grand total of TWO comments.

One piece of speculative editorializing on the former president- 51 and counting, heading towards 100 by lunchtime.

I think that shows how shallow Pres. Biden's support actually is. The man cannot generate any interest at all, especially when competing side-by-side with the Blazing Cheeto. Seems sad really, I pity Joe.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

he did nothing on office what is there to miss? He's doing the same thing now. He could do the same thing wandeing a mall

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The confirmed criminal is afraid of getting convicted or going to jail and thinks running for office and actually "stealing the election" will save him. He also wants to get revenge on all the people who pointed out his criminality, incompetence and failures in life.

It sucks going down in history as the biggest presidential loser ever!!!! He lost by 7 million votes, baby!

Luv it! Live it!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The only thing that will stop Trump from continuing to call for the overthrow of the democratically elected government is if he gets arrested.

And actually that probably won’t even stop him.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

The former liar in chief has also been telling people that he will be reinstated as president in August 2021!

Trump is telling people he thinks he'll be 'reinstated' as president in August, according to a report

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-expects-to-be-reinstated-as-president-august-2021-6

To try a get a buzz and some media attention to get rubes to donate to his non profit to pay off defense lawyers and his loan debts, trump has also be trying to pressure conservative writers to say the election was rigged.

Trump is pushing conservative writers to say the 2020 election was stolen from him, according to a report

https://sports.yahoo.com/news/trump-pushing-conservative-writers-2020-212904605.html

He does not want anymore failures like his shutdown blog, the fundraisers at Mar Lar Go, and of course his re-election campaign.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I’m not a US citizen, but even entertaining the thought of him running again, let alone being elected again, seems to be a peerless example of “fool me once...”

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump is still in Lala Land. Apparently he thinks he'll be reinstalled as POTUS in August! And there are still some people who believe such things. The US really needs to work on its education system.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump/Desantis 2024

or if Trump wants to hang out backstage then

Desantis/Pompeo 2024

The above tickets would put the final nails into what is ledt of the US republic. Both would be the dream tickets of the globe's anti-democracy supportres.

Stalin has gone down in history as the butcher of the revolution, Trump will likewise be known as the butcher of the republic for all the damage he and his supporters have done to the US and its sytems. Trump and ilk must make Xi, Putin, Erdogan. MbS and MbZ, happy, knowing Trump will go down in history as a 'leader' who has done more damage to democracy than they have.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Trump is betting that, as long as he remains an active political figure, he can stay ahead of the law. That encapsulates it. He has no interest in being president - he'd lost interest in it even while he still was president - he just doesn't want to go to jail.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

It wasn’t an insurrection

Do you think the then-young French Republic thought the same when news of 30,000 royalist rioters were marching on Paris on 5 October 1795? The Convention (parliament) sent everything they had albeit heavily outnumbered by 1 to 5, but the genius of a 26-year-old French general crushed the riot to sign the final chapter of the French Revolution.

I swear that many January 6 rioters should never have been treated any kinder than their French counterparts from 225+ years ago. What was missing in Washington was a general not caring one bit about appearances for as long as American democracy was under threat by those anti-democratic rebels.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Danny, actually what was missing was: a plan, weapons, leadership, takeover of the media, little things like that. After a peaceful rally of 200,000 people, maybe 1% decided to go to Capitol Hill and get noisy. Of that group, a smaller group decided to trespass on Congress and be idiots.

It was a mostly peaceful protest with a few goofballs who are being rightfully prosecuted for trespass and property destruction.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Trump stands and fights gloriously against a shadow within his own mind. Donald Quixote?

Right-wing regimes around the world looked at his example and learned how to brush off criticism. Fascist dictators create huge amounts of both love and hate within their own populations. The Myanmar military took heart from him and physically overturned the election there, mouthing off about irregularities in the voting process.

No, let Biden do the difficult but solid job that he is now doing, as the whole world expects from American presidents.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump is like a lot of former politicians, addicted to the limelight. You can see it time and again. With the exception of Bush II, the previous several presidents have continued to dabble in politics and keep their faces in front of the nation.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

It was a mostly peaceful protest with a few goofballs who are being rightfully prosecuted for trespass and property destruction.

"A few goofballs" who were erecting gallows, stalking the halls looking for elected officials to kill, and trying to prevent the electoral process because they didn't like the result, and planting pipe bombs. Just a bunch of jolly fellas engaged in a little bit of light treason.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

“Well, I’ll tell you what,” Trump responded. “We are going to make you very happy, and we’re going to do what’s right."

Wow he is ready to confess and go to prison!!!

One way or the other we will be very happy.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

donald running on the GOP ticket is a sure way to ensure defeat, so bring it on!!!!

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Joe Biden’s DOJ, not Trump’s

No, it IS Trump's. Trump says he's still the president and will be reinstated in August according to Mr. MyPillow. I can't believe a Trump Jim Jones follower does not believe that Trump is not president.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Trump had more positive accomplishments in 4 years than Obama did in his 8. People from every class of society lived at the highest standards in history under Trump's administration. He kept NK, Russia, and Iran in check, and Israel knew they had a strong ally, as they should.

He will be back. The libs will have breakdowns like they did the first time.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

Wasn't he supposed to be reinstated last January or February? Now it's been pushed back to August? It's like predictions for Armageddon by crackpots. When it doesn't take place, they move the deadline, and the cycle repeats. And I really don't think the fat guy should be saying Biden has to go to jail. Biden won't have time to visit him.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Danny, actually what was missing was: a plan, weapons, leadership,

This is not true. Flags, poles, bear spray were used at weapons. At least 1 firearm was found.

There was planning. Oath-keepers moved in formation and flanked the police in a coordinated operation.

There was (some) leadership and planning as evidenced by the text messages in FBI custody.

Long story short, This was an attempt to overthrow a lawful election at the behest of a bitter, delusional sociopath. The fact that it did not succeed is irrelevant.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Trump had more positive accomplishments in 4 years than Obama did in his 8.

Laughably, objectively, provably false.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Gd you are really grasping at straws there. Overthrow the US government using bear spray?!? And..... ONE...firearm? Don't embarrass yourself. Since these guys were all right wing white supremacist extremist neonazis, they all have at least 5 assault rifles, 10 pistols, and a cansiter of napalm at home. Why didn't they bring them to this planned revolution?

You give them too much credit.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

say the same people who call a person "unarmed" when they drop an illegal obtained gun they held in their hand 1 second prior.

Yep, a flag and a pole and some bear spray, man thats some heavily armed "extremist insurrectionists" there! supposedly a gun was "found". but not during the event or in the Capitol. but still it was found, somewhere at a later time. so that would count. (ummm...no it doesnt)

Flags, poles, bear spray were used at weapons.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

And yet they did. The fact that they were incompetent is irrelevant.

Trump told them to fight like hell. They went down there believing he had given them permission, there was coordination and (bad) planning, Bear spray is a weapon. A very dangerous one.

These are all established facts and they are not in doubt.

Who is grasping at straw again?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Trump was quite simply by all accounts and measures the absolute worst president in American history. Why would anyone want four more years of that complete dumpster fire of an administration is mind-boggling.

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/01/trump-worst-president-history/617730/

7 ( +9 / -2 )

The interest in another run, at least for now, comes as Trump has been consumed by efforts to undo last year’s election, advancing baseless falsehoods that it was stolen and obsessing over recounts and audits that he is convinced could overturn the results, even though numerous recounts have validated his loss.

”Obsessing”

Lots of that going around.

Republicans “obsessing” over the necessity of voters verifying that they indeed have the legal right to vote in elections before casting a ballot. If one accepts the Democrats’ arguments (what are they, by the way?) against voter i.d.s, why aren’t they championing the removal of restrictions requiring proof of identity, age or capacity when buying alcohol, driving a car or buying a gun?

(Hint: To encourage fraudulent voting?)

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

say the same people who claimed Antifa had no "weapons" because it was just.... rocks, bricks, batons, fireworks, frozen bottles, glass bottles of urine and flammable objects set on fire and thrown at police.

gonna take over the country with bear spray! give me a break.

But that one dude carrying the podium he looked dangerous!

and that guy with the viking helmet could have impaled someone with those horns or caused blindness by looking at his ridiculous costume too long. The guy with the Confederate flag for no apparent reason likely caused some mental breakdowns and triggering.

Bear spray is a weapon. A very dangerous one.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

https://www.factcheck.org/2021/03/capitol-protesters-were-armed-with-variety-of-weapons/

Before and after the storming of the Capitol, NBC News reported, police seized a dozen firearms, including an assault rifle, and thousands of rounds of ammunition from seven people attending the rally for President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. Other weapons included a crossbow, a stun gun and 11 Molotov cocktails.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

even Biden knows this is ridiculous, he doesnt want this to boomerang back on him.

"Biden opposes presidential commission to investigate Jan. 6"

Why Joe, why?

He prefers Nancy Pelosi take the lead (and suffer the political consequences of the whole thing causing Dems to lose 2022 House and Senate)

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

anyway I guess liberals have forgotten all about this guy?

He is going to court too.

According to the court filings, Sullivan portrayed himself as an independent journalist who was reporting on the chaos, but actually encouraged other participants to "burn" the building and engage in violence.

Sullivan now faces a total of eight criminal counts, including weapons charges, related to the riot.

According to media reports, Sullivan participated in Black Lives Matter protests last year.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-seizes-90000-man-who-sold-footage-us-capitol-riot-2021-05-21/

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

"During" is curiously absent.

Before and after

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

AttilathehungryToday  11:34 am JST

You give them too much credit.

Possibly. The kinds of people who get all fired up listening to Donald Trump really don't come across as all that smart.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Nixon had the good grace to leave office. Carter wasn't impeached much less impeached twice.

Trump is easily the worst. Congrats President Harrison, you are now officially off the hook. Nobody is even close and it is a testament to our institutions (although strained to the breaking point) that we survived.

We won't survive another round of this freak-show but we won't have to. He is going to prison.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump is and was a blowhard, but put his rhetoric and your own blinkers aside, what did he actually do that was so terrible?

I posted a link, you should read it.

Trump was a serial violator of his oath—as evidenced by his continual use of his office for personal financial gain—but focusing on three crucial ways in which he betrayed it helps clarify his singular historical status. First, he failed to put the national-security interests of the United States ahead of his own political needs. Second, in the face of a devastating pandemic, he was grossly derelict, unable or unwilling to marshal the requisite resources to save lives while actively encouraging public behavior that spread the disease. And third, held to account by voters for his failures, he refused to concede defeat and instead instigated an insurrection, stirring a mob that stormed the Capitol.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

"During" is curiously absent.

Yeah it's almost as if the police was somehow too busy during the Capitol assault to go around searching for and seizing weapons !

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Yep, a flag and a pole and some bear spray, man thats some heavily armed "extremist insurrectionists" there!

Your argument is with the FBI/Federal courts and not here at JT. JT is not the courts. But since Trump Jim Jones believers think Trump is still the president (he will be reinstated in August...just wait!!!) then why doesn't Trump pardon these good people who just wanted to come in and have a friendly chat with Nancy?

say the same people who claimed Antifa had no "weapons"

Again, this is up to the Federal Courts and FBI. No one at JT can arrest any ANTIFA Deep State members. It's better to call the FBI hotline in case there is a strong tip.

Why Joe, why?

Biden is NOT President. Trump is and he is coming back in August.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump is a proven danger to America.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

so basically I have to take your word for it as you have no video evidence or any witness statements from police that they saw anyone with a gun during the event.

You dont think if someone had a gun inside the capitol we would have pictures of that instead of some idiot guy carrying a podium, some Q-tard viking cosplayer and (gasp!) people sitting in other peoples chairs?

its a losing political argument. Biden declined to create a commission, its done.

Yeah it's almost as if the police was somehow too busy during the Capitol assault to go around searching for and seizing weapons !

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

its done.

Not the FBI or federal courts. Those Trump invaders are looking at serious crime, especially the dude Qanon shalom with the horns. Again JT is not the federal courts

7 ( +7 / -0 )

All this is why "legal pressure" is in the headline.

Its already known the only way to prevent Trump 2nd term is to somehow, some way, fair or foul, trick or treat, get him indicted and into a jail cell. Or if he decided to not run, then the same would be true to stop DeSantis or Pompeo.

Because its not like Biden is doing a good job or anything. Judged on the facts and merits, he is performing quite poorly. his "record" wont be so good and he will lose the House and Senate unless he gets it together before the 2022 midterms. if that happens, Biden 2022-2024 will be pointless as he will be a lame duck already, having lost his mandate and wont be able to pass any of his priorities.

Anyway Trumps blog was shut down! haha

like thats anything important.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

so basically I have to take your word for it

My word? What in god's name are you talking about? You claim nobody was armed during the January 6th coup attempt, I'm simply showing you that a lot of weapons were actually seized from the insurrectionists on that day. I wasn't there, so "my word" has nothing to do with it. If you think the Washington police is lying and made up all the weapons they seized out of thin air, take it up with them.

As for the reason why no weapon was seized DURING the actual violent breach of the Capitol, as I stated above it might have something to do with the fact that the police was too busy to search for weapons. As stated on the link I posted:

She also said we will never know how many rioters might have been armed with guns on Jan. 6, because only some were arrested that day.

“Not only was law enforcement completely overwhelmed (and being assaulted), from what I saw people were basically allowed to leave unimpeded,” said Rangappa, a senior lecturer at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. “So those arrested … are hardly representative of everyone who was there that day.”

But you can continue defending violent insurrectionists if you think it's morally the right thing to do. To each his own, I guess.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

someone doesnt understand the word "during" . I cant help here.

might have something to do with from you and might have been armed from your source.

Im not convinced by might, it indicates uncertainty and speculation.

I didnt see any "violence" from the protesters, based on the latest Antifa/BLM riots definition of the word.

weapons were actually seized from the insurrectionists on that day.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

also we need to consider "insurrectionist"

Were the people who never went inside also insurrectionists?

Because I heard some guns were found in the cars of people...who never went inside.

do these count in the supposedly "armed insurrectionist" totals?

Maybe there should be a commission to clear all this up once and for all? But we know they have no interest in clearing up this part of it.

I still see the media even today saying the Capitol police office died during the event after being struck in the head. those are simply false.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

I didnt see any "violence" from the protesters,

Of course you didn't! But the absolute rest of the world did, FBI and police included, which has lead to the arrest and conviction of hundreds of your "non-violent" insurectionnist friends. So, again, you can keep defending convicted criminals if you want, that's your choice.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

conviction? nope.

the arrest and conviction of hundreds of your "non-violent" insurectionnist friend

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Seems my prediction was accurate- a 100 post thread by lunch time. The three threads which reference the current occupant of the White House? A grand total of 20 posts. Shows who commands attention, doesn't it?

Still waiting to hear any charges of insurrection, treason, against the rioters.

I actually think the reason the riots are still in the news is to deflect from the boredom and incompetence that has marked the first few months of the Biden administration. The name "Trump" is a guarantee of instant rage. The media equivalent of saying, "look a squirrel".

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

@Attilathehungry

A section of my previous comment was perhaps poorly formulated. What I meant is that Washington needed a general like that 26-year-old French equivalent from 225 years ago to crush the anti-democratic rebels on January 6. Optics wouldn't have mattered one bit if such general and his army corps were going regardless in to stop the riots because that is what their oath commanded.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Its already known the only way to prevent Trump 2nd term is to somehow, some way, fair or foul, trick or treat, get him indicted and into a jail cell.

Actually, a second Trump term was already prevented, in a fair, safe, and secure manner.

It was the 2020 election.

It was quite recent, I'm surprised you don't remember it.
