I loved hearing the Tea Bag republicans.

Tancredo made the remark Thursday as he said President Barack Obama was elected because of "people who could not even spell the word 'vote' or say it in English."

Please read:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=ce2b2cd1f7e9e010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD&vgnextchannel=96719c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.

You can't even become a US citizen if you can't speak English. You'd think that a US Congressman would know that. < :-)

They got a whole 600 people??? Guess the $549 registration fee had something to do with that. Funny how people suddenly get so much more intelligent when things they understand affect them directly.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

We Democrats are eagerly awaiting palin's words, too! Please, sarah, please say you'll lead the Tea Party! That way, you'll definitely divide the conservative vote and ensure President Obama's much-needed second term!

Go sarah!

What's lost on Palin is that for a 'revolution' to be successful, you need two things:

1) Ideas that are better than the status quo and/or opponent

2) Enough people behind you to see it through to the action stage

She has neither of these. She's a FOX TV network entertainer now, like Glenn Beck, and she is just following the money trail. I hope everybody knows that.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yes, America is desperately in need of a revolution of the Mao Zedong-type, with all members of the bourgeoisie either executed or dispatched to labor camps to shovel pig manure for a couple of decades. After a few more years of "benefits" under the vested interests of its two-party "democracy," life for the average person will be intolerable enough to make it happen.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I love this article. It's about the two home size cabins that hasn't been assessed, wasn't listed as property owned and no taxes have been paid on the property. This is the revolution she's talking about. Cheating her community of just tax dollars.

Proud of you Sarah. < :-)

There really is no greater thrill in American politics today than hating this woman. Her intolerance and cynicism makes me sick.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I don't think people are thrilled to hate her, but when she opens her mouth she does give out invitations for it. If I were Alaskan I would have been relieved that husband and 'First Dude Todd' was as involved in state decision-making as hundreds of newly-released e-mails are now showing..

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“America is ready for another revolution” - Sarah Palin.

If it's a revolution anything like the last one she was part of, we don't need it. The world is still suffering the effects of the GOP-sparked global recession.

And it's another "tea party."

Republicans and conservatives like their tea parties. It gives the yet another another pulpit to do what they do best - whine - about the how the Obama administration is taking so long to fix the titanic-sized problems the Republicans and conservatives were instrumental in creating.

Oh, and it gives conservatives yet another opportunity to do nothing about those problems.

Except vent.

The GOP prove once again why their unofficial party slogan is Put Amerioa Last.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's amazing.

Only last year, Sarah Palin was attacking 'Media Elites.'

Now, with her Fox news job, she is one.

That's funny, but I doubt whether she sees her hypocrisy. :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Palin noted Democrats’ electoral losses since Obama took office a year ago"

And I think the whole world noted how badly the Republicans lost -- mass slaughter, really -- thanks to their brand of politics. So what of it?

"...the speech was short on Palin’s own policy..."

No surprises there. 'The Bridge to Nowhere" wasn't just her personal pet project, it's a metaphor for her link to reality and her path in life.

"Indeed, Republican observers say she’s seemingly done more lately to establish herself as a political celebrity focused on publicity rather than a political candidate focused on policy."

Even the Republicans admit she's got no plan and is only riding the wave of adoring dolts who prop her up and make her look just a teency weency bit smarter than them. It'll be funny to watch her go 180 again and start criticizing the media for her faults while now she is using it (FOX included, of course) simply for popularity.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

somebody taught her how to spell 'revolution' ?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I like this story. I was pretty depressed when I read about those gloomy Democrats first.

"Obama seeks to rally glum Democrats amid challenges" This article cheered me up quite nicely after that.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Sarah" is the worst thing to happen to the conservative party, and what's even more amazing is they're paying her to continue opening her mouth!

Oh, and I don't think people are thrilled to hate the women, old friend, but I can understand why people are scared of her.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: "This article cheered me up quite nicely after that."

Meaningless fluff does serve well in entertaining amidst the background of stark reality, agreed.

Madverts: "...and what's even more amazing is they're paying her to continue opening her mouth!"

It's kind of like sailwind above; when things are tough people will pay money to forget about reality for a while and be wooed by the world's of make-believe and comedy palin provides. It could be going to escape the world in a movie theatre for a couple of hours, or just shutting off your brain to listen to a palin speech (or maybe just dummying your brain down a hundred IQ points).

Oh, and the only thing 'scary' about palin is her atrocious inability to speak her native tongue and communicate ideas effectively. But hey... go ahead and do tell us about all the ideas she proposed.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Her fee was $100,000 for the appearance at the for-profit event.

Wow.Someone paid that much to hear that?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well, my many friends, it really is just too,too funny watching the few remaining bush supporters here rally behind palin, who was the worst governor of all time, from the get-go. Really, the only thing that scares me about palin is her simply atrocious inability to speak English and communicate ideas effectively. But hey, logic never was the right wingers strong suite.

She scares me almost as much as Scott Brown's pickup truck.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“Run, Sarah, Run!”

...and never come back...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

You go girl!

"in a speech that was short on ideas"

Heh, the liberal AP writer of this article is just pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "Heh, the liberal AP writer of this article is just pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular."

I see you still have your little tea set out, eh? What's funniest about your comment is that you conveniently forget how palin derided the media when she claimed to be a victim before leaving her job less than a year into it. None of it was her fault, it was the media's! Now you are trying to take a jab at this media writer pointing out that palin is so popular via the... wait for it... MEDIA!

No big surprise you're still a fan; but like I said, the 'bridge to nowhere'.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Sarah" is the worst thing to happen to the conservative party"

There isn't any conservative party, there's the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. Many Republicans aren't true conservatives.

"I can understand why people are scared of her"

Just the Democrats.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I see smithinjapan too is pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Actually, wouldn't that be the perfect title for palin's FOX segments? "The Bridge to Nowhere?" Why not try to revive her old waste of time and money into the new? hehe.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "I see smithinjapan too is pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular."

Not at all... I just know it gets you guys in a tizzy when you point out how much of a dolt the woman is, and can prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Gets you guys doubly upset when you point out that's often the case of those who follow her after everyone else abandoned her.

I do see you learned a new word, though. I don't think the mods will let it stand, though -- it's a big step up from the sandbox, Davy.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"In a speech that was short on ideas but big on enthusiasm."

Sums Palin up well. Just imagine HER with her finger on the nookular button! Way too scary! If America is seriously thinking about this woman for President next time around, just imagine what that says about "We the People!"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: Anyway, chirp in all you want about how the woman is great; while we have HEAPS of records and proof of how many times and how big a failure the woman is, from election to career as Governor, to her word, etc. You have nothing to vouch for in terms of success, save for the shallow rantings of a few followers who have yet to see how badly they've been duped.

But I would like to hear you say it one more time: How many days did she serve in her sworn office as Governor in Alaska? What happened then? What was the outcome of the last election in which she ran? And, what are the dolt's ideas since president Obama is such a bad guy and so utterly wrong that a 'Tea Party revolution' is needed?

My guess is you won't have the courage to answer these questions straight up without qualifying them full of, "but!"s or, "it's the media's fault", etc., if at all. Sweet dreams, li'l camper.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Boy,

I guess all that hatred for Bush by liberals had to be transferred to some other vessel, it just happens to be Palin now. Interesting to observe though. The total irrationality involved and lowering of Liberal I.Q levels to third grade level playground talk who can't even put a capitol letter to the ladies name.

Pretty good speech by the 'dolt' and a pretty receptive crowd by the 'dolts' that like her Conservative style. She fired em up pretty good, the Democrats on the other hand could use a little firing up themselves Obama's trying but they seem pretty gloomy right now with that hope-y, change-y stuff, Palin referred to in her teleprompter-less speech.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The total irrationality involved and lowering of Liberal I.Q levels to third grade level playground talk who can't even put a capitol letter to the ladies name.

Personally I think all who continually polarize politics into left vs right/conservative vs liberal is acting at a third grade level, or worse.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: "The total irrationality involved and lowering of Liberal I.Q levels to third grade level playground talk who can't even put a capitol letter to the ladies name."

I see you've reverted to sarge-like cut and pastes. The woman doesn't deserve a capital letter in her name, so I don't give her one. I'm sorry that offends you, but you should be far more offended by what comes out of this mouth. Perhaps you can answer the questions I posed to sarge in my last post? Nah... might involve having to admit a few things about the woman you've done your best to bury.

"...a pretty receptive crowd by the 'dolts' that like her Conservative style."

Now what were you saying about 'playground talk'? This makes no grammatical sense; 'crowd' cannot possibly be a verb here. Do you mean because a whopping 500 people or so showed up they practically 'mobbed' the dolt? Or wait... let us look to the English you give us in your next sentence:

"...with that hope-y, change-y stuff, Palin referred to in her teleprompter-less speech."

I don't think we need to say any more on the level of language this woman uses to get her message across, nor on those who seem to be the only ones who are capable of receiving it. Is it like a dog whistle, maybe?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Interesting. One poster asserts that the reporting of Sarah's speech as short on ideas was due to the journalist being upset over her popularity. So, rather than refute the reporting by presenting an example of the ideas Sarah put forward, the poster displays his own immaturity and pettiness. Such are the types attracted to Palin.

What is their track record? Didn't they cheer on and support the disastrous administration that took control in 2000 and 2004 and which completely squandered the budget surplus, failed to do anything to prevent the worst attack on U.S. soil in history, lied the nation into war and managed it incompetently, etc., etc.

Why should their judgment ever be trusted again?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm so glad that this grassroots effort has grabbed Sarah Palin as their poster child. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about Palin's popularity.

This will split the republican party.

Her newly discovered untaxed cabins shows her dishonesty.

Her quitting her post as the Gov. of the state of Alaska shows her endurance as a leader.

Go Sarah Go. You're making the democratic party stronger every day. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

-"Sarah Palin, in a speech that was short on ideas but big on enthusiasm"

-"the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee gave the keynote address at the first national convention of the “tea party” coalition. It’s an antiestablishment, grass-roots network motivated by anger"

-"the speech was short on Palin’s own policy ideas that typically indicate someone is seriously laying the groundwork to run for the White House."

An awful lot of "personal opinions" being offered up here. Personaly I am not enamored with Sarah Palin- a bit too smarmy for my liking. She has no shot at the presidency- as a wisecracking side-kick VP- maybe ! I look for Guillani to finally make a serious run, Obama and the Dems will have screwed things up big time by then- Rudy would have nothing to lose.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Go Sarah Go. You're making the democratic party stronger every day. < :-)

And considering what they've done to the country while they have been in power, they're going to need all the help they can get. I doubt even the vicious hate-mongering and demonizing of Palin will be enough to save them. Actually thinking about it, the irrational hatred directed towards her, might just help Republicans get elected. Now wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth to all you hate filled loons.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Palin collects $100,000 for her no-nothing speech to nut jobs on the far right fringe who complain about wasted spending . . .perfect. If there is anyone that the angry gun mongers and racists angry white guys that make up the tea party loser types it is Sarah Palin. If she did get elected VP she would have quit by now to anchor fox news for sure.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Looks like she was too cheap to buy a teleprompter. Following in the path of great American presidents and their famous hand notes: Kennedy-"Berliner", Nixon-"Not Crook", Eisenhower-"Military-Industrial Complex", Sarah Palin showed her presidential qualities and qualifications.

The clock has almost struck midnight for Ms. Palin I'd say (I am trying to contain my oozing, irrational hatred as I say that). Actually, I kind of admire her for her ability to pull off her little act. The scary thing is not her, but the fact that so many people think what she is talking about is relevant to anything. The stuff she and her supporters are on about is just so naive and quaint - she has no clue that the reality is much, much worse than they know.

But if anybody really thinks Sarah Palin should be in charge when the economic bleep really starts to hit the fan, that's your choice and you will live with it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Heh, I see that yabits, zurcronium and GJDailluelt are also pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Where was Todd Palin the former Governor of Alaska?

Run Sarah run! Run as an independent, run as a Republican, just run.

I am begging Sarah Palin to run for President. I will grovel if I have to; so please run Sarah.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is this the Taro Aso of the US? That's promising some entertainment at least...

Heh, I see that goodDonkey and gonemad are also pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular.

smithinjapan: The woman doesn't deserve a capital letter in her name, so I don't give her one.

When you get a little older you'll see how silly that is.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sarah calls that we are ready for a revolution - Sory that Sarah says that as I feel impeachment is in the air. Every day I watch my dwindling bank account head for zero and frankly, I am worried for our entire country

The Associated Press feed that sites like this rely on is hardly the last word.

Washington Examiner: "Watching Sarah Palin’s speech to the Tea Party National Convention last night in Nashville on PJTV, it was clear that she has a rapport and comfort with the Tea Partiers that is unmatched among politicians at the national level...I believe Palin is miles ahead of every other national figure in understanding where the country has been in the last year and what the Tea Party movement means about the future course of American politics."

Washington Post: "...But, whether or not Palin runs for president in 2012, the night was almost certainly a success for her."

Huffington Post: "Her fee was $100,000 for the appearance at the for-profit event. But she said she would not keep the money, instead giving it back to "the cause."

Baltimore Sun: "First of all, the fact that four cable channels (CNN, MSNBC, Fox and C-SPAN) gave her live coverage is a victory and testament to her power in and of itself. In that respect, she was a winner before she ever said a word.

"But the words she did say in a 45-minute speech surely resonated beyond the hotel ballroom, particularly the words that focused frustration and anger against what she successfully painted as an arrogant, ineffectual and highly partisan Obama administration.

"The forceful, yet colloquial tone that she so effectively sounded is best suggested by the line she threw down on the Democrats, "So, how's that hopey, changey stuff working out for you?"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Lord help us all if that woman ever became president

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm glad Sarah's getting her band wagon going. She'll get the attention of those Tea Bag Republicans and band them together. Then you'll have the regular ol' run of the mill republicans. The choices of leadership will be unfathomable. The sparks from the republican party will be fun to watch. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Lord help us all if that woman ever became president"

She would do a lot better job than the current president.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This woman is beating David Axelrod and the creators of the Obama mystique at their own game.A conservative media watchdog site called NewsBusters reports that

"Palin reaches more Americans with a Facebook message (just under 1.3 million) than Keith Olbermann reaches during his 8 p.m. broadcast slot on MSNBC (roughly 1 million). Fox News now has plans to build a television studio in her home in Wasilla. Her recent book Going Rogue has spent 11 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list, and has netted her somewhere in the 8-figure range."

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Molenir,

"And considering what they've done to the country (democrats) while they have been in power, they're going to need all the help they can get."

What exactly have "they" done to the country in their 13 months in power?

4 whole years of mandate is a pretty short time to achieve anything. When conservatives make comments such as these, it removes any shred of credibility in my humble opinion.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge,

"She would do a lot better job than the current president."

A better job at what exactly?

She couldn't even get the Vice-Presidents role correctly in responding to a third grader.....when she actually applying for the damned post.

Heh, she makes W look like a neuro-surgeon in comparison.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Heh, she makes W look like a neuro-surgeon in comparison.

Who is 'W' there seems to be link there with Palin and the obsessive hatred.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Who is 'W' there seems to be link there with Palin and the obsessive hatred."

Mmmm, sailwind - if you don't like me pointing out the woman isn't very bright and doing so via using her own voice emissions, I can't really say it amounts to "obssesive hatred". Just observation - and quite regularly un-controlled mirth.

And besides, I'm leaving you guys to do the obssesive hatred thing with President Obama. Keep up the good work!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

And besides, I'm leaving you guys to do the obssesive hatred thing with President Obama. Keep up the good work!

You mean the President of my country that I happen to give him the respect for his office he holds every time I post by using a capitol letter by his name?

That 'hatred'?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Fox News now has plans to build a television studio in her home in Wasilla.

Maybe they'll build the studio at one of the two cabins she hasn't declared or paid taxes on. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Can she see Russia from her Fox kitchen?

So the report is out that Palin wrote his political priorities in her speech on her hand like a school kid in 8th grade cheating on a history exam. Amazing. She even cheats when she is getting paid $100k for a fake speech.

Other posters are right that when palin dumps the failing republicans for the tea baggers the right wing will go haywire. Reactionaries will be able to choose from an all white group of racist southern loons, the republicans, or an all white group of racist angry morons, the tea baggers. Drill baby drill! Obama gets four more years to try to fix the damage from the bush failures.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Heh, I see that yabits, zurcronium and GJDailluelt are also pissed off that Sarah Palin is so popular.

Actually I don't care. I'm just saying you should be careful what you wish for, because it might come true.

If the USA's biggest problems were the stuff she goes on about - Obama is a socialist, Americans pay too much tax, the government is spending too much, somebody need to look out for "Real" Americans, etc, etc., it would make me very, very happy. Unfortunately they are not, and the real problem is one that she doesn't even seem to know exists, and one that isn't limited to Americans. And if she doesn't know it exists, I sure don't want to see her as president. Although to be fair to her, the present guy doesn't seem to know either.

And if anybody doesn't know what that biggest problem is, I suggest you stop playing on the tracks and go find out. The Voodoo Economics train has climbed the mountain and is now heading down the other side and it's picking up speed.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So the report is out that Palin wrote his political priorities in her speech on her hand like a school kid in 8th grade cheating on a history exam.

She'll just have to get herself a nice shiny teleprompter, like the one Obama needed to address a class of 6th grade students :)

Amazing. She even cheats when she is getting paid $100k for a fake speech.

She has said the money will be given to the whichever cause the movement deems worthwhile.

Her recent best-seller brought her millions.

She doesn't need the money.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

She does need the money, that is why she is in politics. If she were in it for the actual job she would still be screwing up Alaska now as its governor. She quit that fast for greener pastures, greener as in more money, once she could.

Her favorite cause is herself, if you do not see that you are blind.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Her favorite cause is herself, if you do not see that you are blind.

Compare the number of first person references in a Palin speech with the number to be found in one by Obama...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Can she see Russia from her Fox kitchen?"

Heh, heh, reduced to third-grade level snide remarks.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Can she see Russia from her Fox kitchen?"

Yup... just beyond the bridge to nowhere.

I LOVE that she couldn't even get through the speech without using the cheat notes on her hand! CLASSIC!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"I LOVE that she couldn't even get through the speech without using the cheat notes on her hand! CLASSIC!"

So how do you feel about Obama's nonstop use of the teleprompter- Classic ?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Palin delivered a 45-minute speech.

If what was on her hand represented all she needed to know to then extemporise upon 5 or 6 items of policy means she is a much, much more accomplished speaker than any of her rivals on the American political scene.

I have since read that what she had on her hand were the topics she intended to have 'brought up' during the supposedly spontaneous Q and A sessions that follow media events like this one.

Yes, it looks like Democrats are not the only ones who have plants among their audiences.

Why 'pre-select' if you can't get the maximum amount of political mileage possible.

But Obama fans, crowing over this?

A bit much...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Branded at 1:16 PM - Good one.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Odogma: "I have since read that what she had on her hand were the topics she intended to have 'brought up' during the supposedly spontaneous Q and A sessions that follow media events like this one. Yes, it looks like Democrats are not the only ones who have plants among their audiences."

What are you on about, dude? bush was the best known person in recent history to plant people in the audience. You're just beating yourself up here.

"Palin delivered a 45-minute speech."

Ha! A 'speech', eh? more like incoherent drivel pieced together with 'ya know?'s and her attempts to coin new words by adding 'y's to the end of words real adults use.

"So how do you feel about Obama's nonstop use of the teleprompter- Classic ?"

Every president uses a teleprompter for major, televised speeches. Obama has shown his wit in debates and other occasions when he doesn't use one, unlike your former president with the brick on his back and transmitter, etc. palin? we've seen that woman talk in real Q&As where she doesn't have plants and cheat notes on her hands... remember the Couric interview? or her 'farewell' speech when she walked off the job?

I know you probably don't want to remember the last one and choose to ignore it, and the former is just an example of 'media persecution' (she announces to the media!), but check them out! TRULY classic!

No, this woman should go back and pick up an education before she's allowed to speak anymore.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Gosh,

She wrote something on her hand beforehand as a reminder for her to get something she really wanted to get across.

Like no one here has never done something similar themselves in the past as a reminder to themselves, my how un-elite and common of her. I scribbled my wifes hospital room number on my hand recently when I went to visit her beforehand during a recent stay she had there......so I wouldn't forget something that important either, I guess that also makes me a 'dolt'.

Most all of you if your honest with yourselves instead of trying make political hay out of nothing again, have done the same thing one way or another and all it does is make her normal and a feeling she is one of us instead of the "elite". That is why she is so popular with so many folks. And Liberals hate her for it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: "I scribbled my wifes hospital room number on my hand recently when I went to visit her beforehand during a recent stay she had there......so I wouldn't forget something that important either, I guess that also makes me a 'dolt'."

That depends.... were you going there to visit your wife or to make a political speech to all the doctors and nurses there about how Obama is all 'change-y wange-y'? You see, one of you was making a political speech, and last I checked you don't make notes on your hand -- or have they changed the rules at professional contests lately and encourage speakers to write on their hands?

"That is why she is so popular with so many folks. And Liberals hate her for it."

No, she's popular because a few people -- this time... what... 500? -- lap up the lies and lack of promises she doles out. What did she offer them of her own? NOTHING. Even Republicans noted that fact. People hate her, 'Liberals' and many Conservatives alike, because she's an idiot, and because she abuses the system before walking out on it and proclaiming herself the victim. In short, she's unreliable, abusive, and misdirects her own anger and failures at others. Not at all good qualities to have in someone who is gunning for leadership posts (before quitting them, of course).

I wonder how many 180s this woman will have to do before you guys see her for the idiot she is.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm so excited about Palin. She gets the crowds going. She has those speeches that rally the forces. And keeping people like Congressman Tancredo to make comments that the people that voted Obama couldn't even spell vote. I love it. The hate they will create. The bias inside the republican party.

Please Run Sarah Run. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

People hate her, 'Liberals' and many Conservatives alike, because she's an idiot, and because she abuses the system before walking out on it and proclaiming herself the victim.

Idiots don't become a Mayor of a city then a Governor of a State then a Vice Presidential Candidate, then a best selling author and invited to speak at 100,000 dollars a pop. That is called a total individual success story. My how the 'elites' hate it when a one of the 'riff raff' does that on their own without their divine guidance.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

i don't really think she will be the Rupublican candidate in 2012 but she does stir a lot of debate and gets people active in the political process. Maybe look for Newt to make a comeback for 2012. @adaydream: Maybe you should visit Hialeah, Florida. You will meet many American citizens there who don't speak a word of english. Same in some parts of Texas.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

No, she's popular because a few people -- this time... what... 500? -- lap up the lies and lack of promises she doles out.

Palin's Tea Party Address was carried on five different networks.

Her recently published best-seller netted her millions.

She has been hired by the TV network which the majority of Americans recently chose as the most trustworthy in their country.

I doubt she could get any more face time than she has.

At this point the question becomes - - can her detractors can go any deeper in denial ??

0 ( +0 / -0 )

OMG, she "assailed" the beloved leader. Not just criticism, she has to "assail" him. One just has to admire the unbiased media :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So how do you feel about Obama's nonstop use of the teleprompter- Classic ?

Using a teleprompter: somewhat normal for politicians and speakers to use. Obama uses it, as did his predecessor Bush, as did his predecessor Clinton. Using notes you scribbled on your hand with a bic pen? GHETTO.

a speech that was short on ideas but big on enthusiasm

Mrs. Palin torn a page out of Obama's playbook. Heh, If she didn't have an (R) behind her name, the global liberals would be experiencing tingles up their legs about Mrs. Palin like they now do at the mere mention of their messiah's name.

LOL, no, actually not. Yes, the others do them, but not for every single tiny occasion like this one does... and catastrophically blunders without them.

Remember the famous incident when the staff had loaded the wrong speech into the machine at one of Clintons SOTU speeches? He did not miss a beat and winged the whole speech. Nobody noticed till after the speech.

God, I would to see that happen to this president. That would be funner than Saturday Night Live could make up. NO WAY he could do a Clinton on that.

True dat. Little known fact: Obama also writes notes on his hands in order to remind himself which teleprompters to read.

sailwind: "Idiots don't become a Mayor of a city then a Governor of a State then a Vice Presidential Candidate, then a best selling author and invited to speak at 100,000 dollars a pop."

You forgot a major part, but let me insert it for you... try not to close your eyes:

"Idiots don't become a Mayor of a city then a Governor of a State then a Vice Presidential Candidate, THEN WALKED OUT ON HER JOB LESS THAN A YEAR INTO IT, CLAIMING TO BE A VICTIM OF THE MEDIA... then a best selling author and invited to speak at 100,000 dollars a pop."

You see, you forgot that key part where she betrayed everyone and walked out on ALL of her responsibilities and promises, and hence she is an utter failure. Only a total fool would wish someone like that be given more responsibility and power. And yes, that makes her a total idiot. The people who follow her? hahaha... well, who's the more foolish? the fool or those who follow the fool?

RR: "Mrs. Palin torn a page out of Obama's playbook."

Ummm... no, my friend, but easy to see how a person who loves palin and laps up her drool would make such a brainless error. You see, Obama has had and proposed PLENTY of ideas, it's just that people like palin, who have none, run around saying the "commies are a-comin'-y comin-y" or other incomprehensible nonsense and a bunch of people support a movement against it, which sadly gains momentum. palin's ideas? .... (silence)... I can almost hear the tumbleweeds rolling across the desert plains in her head.

"True dat. Little known fact: Obama also writes notes on his hands in order to remind himself which teleprompters to read."

Ahhh... the bitterness and despair. You know he's all in a tizzy when he starts going on about stuff like this. :)

techall maybe you need to check it out. The citizenship test is taken in English, not Spanish or any other language. The people in Hialeah, Florida may not want to speak English. Their business. But look up citizenship test if you don't believe me. I posted the link days ago. < :-)

RomeoRamenII it's good to see you're not wee wee'd up over Mrs. Palin.

Heh, If she didn't have an (R) behind her name, the global liberals would be experiencing tingles up their legs about Mrs. Palin like they now do at the mere mention of their messiah's name.

Don't kid yourself. < :-)

Palin isn't really "presidential material" ... but she HAS improved considerably over the past 18 months. She used to sound like some small-town mom who just happened to win the governorship of an extremely rural state. Lately though, she seems much better informed, much more focused, much more eloquent. Not a "hick" anymore. She will be a major political player in the coming years.

What's really funny ... is that Palin would have faded back into obscurity EXCEPT that the left-leaning news media kept talking about her - to poke fun at her. This kept her in the limelight, in the loop, and the relentless attacks brought her many sympathizers. Even worse now for the 'left', they are SO vested in their "dumb hick" stereotype that anyone hearing the REAL Palin lately is shocked at how different she is from that propaganda image. It makes the 'left' seem like outright malicious liars (which they are - just like the 'right') and this will bring Palin even MORE supporters.

She should run for the Senate seat--instead of the president in 2012.

You see, you forgot that key part where she betrayed everyone and walked out on ALL of her responsibilities and promises, and hence she is an utter failure.

Barack Obama got elected to the US Senate in 04, declared he would not seek the office of the president, and then abruptly set about building a grassroots network dedicated to precisely that aim. He also did a completely dishonourable about-face on campaign finance.

"Only a total fool would wish someone like that be given more responsibility and power."

And yes, that makes him a deceitful, power-hungry hypocrfite.

"The people who follow him? hahaha... well, who's the more foolish? the fool or those who follow the fool?"

I find it amazing that some Americans pine for a president that they can "relate to" (re: not some stuffy dude who, like, y'know, knows stuff). Let's remember how that worked out for them in 2000. As a proud Canadian, my first reaction is to sit back and laugh at the ongoing celebration of ignorance down south, but then I remember the economic fallout for the rest of us.

Meghan McCain disses Tea Parties as a bunch of racist old people, Palin as hypocrite http://bit.ly/bOHpBM

People in the Tea Party are NOT the exception for this.

It is truly laudable to see Ms. Palin keeping up the honourable American tradition of lowbrow populism.

I always find it amusing when someone makes a statement like the one made by Romeo regarding the "liberals" response at "the mention of their messiah's name", when the right are vastly more apt to blindly worship just about anyone Rush tells them to. Vastly more conformity on the right than the left. That's part of the definitional differences between the two groups for the most part. So, romeo, perhaps you shouldn't project what the right does as a matter of policy. Not only that, even were they to worship Obama, which no one does to my knowledge, it would STILL be infinitely better than supporting a dunce like Palin or Bush before her. That the people aren't even embarrassed by supporting such folks is what's sad and pathetic.

I couldn't have said it better. You must also be an academic of some sort. Ever since the National Convention ended with all of us Democrats chanting "O-bama, O-bama" the paranoid style Hofsteder identified forty years ago has come back full blown, not that it is ever far below the surface in America...

All you can do is chuckle. As if that response to Obama's nomination, a few "iconic" posters and fourteen appearances on the cover of TIME magazine is proof of a so-called personality cult that right wingers hallucinate about.

saran palin is the leader of the conservative movement in USA, had Maccain allowed her to speak her mind and take on candidate obama in 2008 campaign, he would be the president by now, obama is a an empty suit, he never accoplished anything in his live nnor when he was in the senate, he is socialist community organizer,

he is destroying america as a repiblic and blame everything on bush,

he boubled the unemployment, tribled the national debt, borrowing and spending like a maniac, destroyed the auto industry, banking and mortgage industry, and try to socialize american health care and replace it with a european failed health care system,

it was liberals and democrats who are responsible for the collapse of the financial markets in USA,

they pressured and forced banks to give mortgage loans to blacks, and latinos who could not afford to pay it back, they were buying votes,

it was liberals and obama who were pushing for 'affordable housing" for blacks and minorities

the reason the liberals hate sarah palin because they fear her, she is the only one can defeat and expose their fraud messiah,

BARAK HUSSAIN OBAMA IS FAILED PRESIDENT, HE failed in everthing in his first year in office, he accomplished nothing

I really hope this woman runs for office. Any office. It doesn't have to be president. I just want to see her run.

I could use the laugh.

john smith,

you are the perfect palinista supporter. Dont let truth get in your way ever. And keep on looking for WMD in Iraq will you please.

People talk about how America is being dumbed down by TV, etc. I think the Palinistas have shown us the very bottom. Beyond that there is no further to sink.

tonight im really happy, i feel so good,

obama is failing, his entire agenda is collapsing, his polling numbers is crushing low, americam people are turning against him, his party is facing a major defeat in the fall, democrats are turning against him,

OBAMA IS BECOMING A JOKE, it really feel good

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Taka, I have to disagree. I want Sarah to only run for president. I would be happy if she begins as a Republican and then she can run a third party campaign if she so chooses. I also want the the Tea(bagger) Party to become a third party and show the Republicans a little competition.

john smith,

thanks for proving my point so clearly. I am sure you will feel great when Obama wins a second term too.

I wonder if Palin debates Obama at some point if she will do the notes on the hand job again or use an ear mike like Bush did against Kerry. Hand job makes sense for Palin I guess.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

John Smith,

compared to bush Obama is a genius (that is the correct spelling). Bush used a telepromter all the time or an earphone when he cheated in the debates.

Wow, debating with you is like schooling a five year old. Make that four, five year olds have some logical awareness.
