West isn't silent, but Russia is deaf. Finnish president visited president Putin couple of hours ago to ensure humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The problem is that Putin doesn't care about colladeral damage, be that Russian minority or otherwise. Citizens will get water and food, but not from Russia, because Russia would rather deliver more weapons to rebels.

The convoy is destroyed; no harm done.

That convoy has no business being there.

Now just let the Red Cross take over the aid trucks and distribute the aid.

And seeing as how the citizens of Donetsk are Ukrainian citizens isn't it Kiev's obligation to ensure that they have access to food and water.

If cutting off a whole city from food and water isn't tyrannical and cruel, I don't know what is.

How do you propose they cut off food and water to an enemy while keeping civilians access to food and water?

Remember, when the US military broke the Al-Qaeda in Iraq's stronghold of Fallujah, they also surrounded the city and cut off aid. If the superior US military can't do anything otherwise, how else an Ukraine military could do?

Burning bush:

Isn't there something wrong when a government kills 2,000 of its own people and causes 285,000 to escape as refugees in another country.

So tell me what you think of Russia's actions in Chechnya, where tens of thousands of civilians were killed by the Russian army and Grozny was reduced to rubble in acts of brutality far worse than we are seeing in Ukraine. How can you criticise the Ukrainian government for doing exactly what your own government has done and would do again without a second thought? How can you criticise Ukraine for defending itself against terrorists armed by your own government? Do you really expect them to do nothing and let a bunch of thugs take over? What would you expect the Russian government to do if the situation were reversed?

Yes and Ukraine is fabricating evidence as we speak.

A government should never, ever shut off the water and block of food from civilians.

The US won Fallujah, and everybody celebrated the defeat of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Winning is nothing if you have to kill women and children to do it.

I bet you celebrated the defeat of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Oh and please tell us more about how Al Qaeda was "defeated" in Iraq, and then turn on the today's newscast.

Are ya daft? The Battle of Fallujah and Al-Qaeda in Iraq (that's the name of the group) was a specific point in time.

(Next thing ya know, Nazis weren't "defeated" in WW2, then turn on today's news.)

So, what is Putin up to this time. First few trucks of this "aid" convey that are being opened for inspection are.....nearly empty, except for a few carton boxes containing condensed milk. Is that all they can spare for their supposedly oppressed brethren in the People's Republic of Donetsk? Or was it merely window dressing in order to make Putin look good without him showing his naked torso? Or, have they been hastily offloading stuff that the Ukrainian authorities would have deemed as not exactly being kosher? Hey, I'm just guessing here, because why on earth would they send empty trucks?

Either way it should become clearer in a day or two. Lets see.

What's the point. The newspeak coming out of the petrodollar machine has no problem with lying. The photo from the British reporters is a joke. How do so many people fall for this stuff in this day and age?

Still waiting for the slam dunk proof of flight MH17. Where is the black box report? Where are the control tower recordings? Where are the satellite images? Not sure which is louder, the crickets outside my window, or the crickets from the MSM about this.

Brazilian presidential candidate Eduardo Campos was killed in an airplane crash on August 13th. Investigators of the crash have already made their report public. So what, that's 3 days.

"The two hours of audio, the maximum recording capacity of the equipment, which were received and validated by certified technicians, were not of the flight of 13 August," air force spokesman Pedro Luis Farcic said in a statement (in Portuguese).

I forget who said, "It is good that war be so terrible, lest we grow too fond of it."

I have the very same questions.

Just like the alleged video of the BUK rolling through rebel territory had a billboard in the background that's in Kiev. Ooops.

They talked about that "BUK" a lot. The main task for investigators is to find elements of supposed missile. While BUK missile warhead has balls (shrapnel), warheads of Air-to-Air missiles contain steel rods.
