Who are the Serbs trying to fool. The Serbs brought this Kosovo problem on themselves. NATO came the aid of the Kosovans because Serbia was using violence against the Kosovans just like it tried to treat the Slovenians, Croats and Bosnia.
Asakaze
To a certain degree. The Serbs were foolish enough to allow ethnic Albanians to settle and live in Kosovo (inherent part of Serbia since medieval times). Slowly Albanians outbumbered Serbs (it's usual for Albanians to have five - six children, far more then for Serbs), began to press local Serbs out of Kosovo and then started a seccession war. Now there is "independent Kosovo", a failed state with no working economy apart from drug trade and with leader implicated in war crimes, including illegal human organs' trade.
Clear act of aggression. NATO should have come to the aid of Northern Irish when the U.K. "was using violence" there.
Toasted Heretic
That might have ruffled feathers both in the UK (of which the 6 counties/NI is part of) and south of the border.
There was already one foreign military operating on Irish soil, not sure how another one (no matter how well-intentioned) would have been received.
Asakaze
My point is the utter duplicity of NATO. While they consider the use of force by U.K. ("The Troubles" in Northern Ireland) as a noble enterprize to restore law and order, basically the same operation by the Serbian government in one of its province is considered a crime and a cause for military aggression. Hypocritical liars.
