If the surrounding countries and the Thais too stopped burning agricultural residue to the extent they do then the air would be a lot cleaner.

This problem has been going on for years without action taken to stop it

I have not been there is 20 years or so, and it was not good at that time but that looks even worse and that is shocking. Kuala Lumper, a city I have visited many times, has far better air and it has 3 times the people and cars.

It's been 20 years since I was there, but it was a smaller city in the jungle at the time, and the air wasn't polluted at all. Has the city grown significantly in the meantime?
