Trump is just one of the thousand conservatives that were silenced on social media until Musk (thankfully) bought Twitter. He’s one man, but he got the ball moving, thankful to both men.

He wasn't "silenced" for being a conservative. He was banned for violating TOS. Why does being Donald Trump mean he gets to violate TOS?

on social media until Musk (thankfully) bought Twitter.

Yes. Thank God he bought Twitter and basically ran it into the ground. He's made into a cesspool of just about every kind of awful one can imagine.

But he did bring back free speech, something the Saudi royal family and Gulf State backers are famous advocates for. :)

view among Republicans that the platforms disproportionately censor conservative viewpoints.

When many of those 'conservative 'viewpoints are parroting those from Moscow, Beijing, Riyadh, Tehran, Pyongyang and other places that want to destroy the US then in the interest of national security those messages should be carefully watched. But I know Rupert, Elon Putin and other media moguls are getting richer trying to further weaken the US by continually throwing more fuel on our long burning fires, trying to further divide us (did anyone else know the first letter in United and the first letter in States make 'us'., thos that read "relly big lie social might have learned that.

Right. Poor Trump has been deprived of his ability to speak. Silenced I tell ya!

MAGA world never stops whining.

A decade ago when I was appointed to a citizens tax oversight commission by a member of our City Council I created a separate stand-alone e-mail account for all of my official e-mail correspondence. My appointment didn't rate an official city e-mail address and I did not use my personal e-mail for any city business. On the few occasions when someone who knew me from before my appointment contacted me using my personal account to discuss city business I would ask them please to only use my my dedicated tax oversight committee account to discuss committee related matters. This way if there was ever a subpoena or a Freedom of Information Act request, that e-mail account had nothing personal on it and my personal e-mail account had nothing committee related on it. I think these pollies messed up by being lazy and not starting separate social media accounts for their political activities. If their social media accounts were purely related to their official positions there would be no justification for them to block anybody.

free speech is the debate and should only be accountable in a public sense.

And there is nothing like a small town for vendettas, vile gossip and poke-in-the-eye politics /:

45 and Twitter. 2 things that increasingly fewer and fewer people care about.

Exactly....

And two things that are both worth significantly less monetarily than they were a few years ago...and with much, much less relevance and credibility...

Truth Social is down and also almost out with bankruptcy. Another Trump failure.

How's this for "winning"....

"X, formerly Twitter, is now valued at $19 billion, based on the company's employee equity compensation plan. The privately-held company, owned by Elon Musk, is giving employees RSUs at a share price of $45 according to two sources familiar with the matter. This new valuation comes a year after Musk purchased the platform for $44 billion,"

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/x-formerly-twitter-valued-19-175603209.html

Only in MAGA-world is losing $25 billion viewed as a "business success"....or six bankruptcies...

Yeah the same “valuators” who did Mar a Lago at 18 million?

Owning and controlling Twitter is invaluable and priceless because you control information, speech and narrative.

No, read the link - Musk valued it at that figure in his employee compensation plan....

You think he's lying?

Owning and controlling Twitter is invaluable and priceless because you control information, speech and narrative.

Thanks for admitting it - "controlling speech and information" - the far-right's 1984 fever dream...

You think he's lying?

sure, don’t you?

Thanks for admitting it - "controlling speech and information" - the far-right's 1984 fever dream...

Yet exactly what the left DID until Musk bought it.

Yet exactly what the left DID until Musk bought it.

Conservatives and specifically Cheney and later, Trump were the followers of doublethink, something Kelly Anne Conway confirmed by saying Trump used alternative facts. Right out of 1984, alternative facts or lies, creating whatever ‘truth’ they wanted.

as usual, MAGA creates their soup and then blames the left, being hypocritical, but not owning up to it.

You think he's lying?

sure, don’t you?

I don't know - but glad you think he is...what else has Musk lied about on official financial documents?

Thanks for admitting it - "controlling speech and information" - the far-right's 1984 fever dream...

Yet exactly what the left DID until Musk bought it.

Far-right victimization fantasy...the fact is that since Musk bought the company it has lost more than half its value...

Keep "winning"....ROFL..

Yet something that people who are not even US citizens continue to obsessively post about.

Laughable. There are so many alternatives to TwitterX all around the world. Most of us only read a tiny slice of the available information sources available to us effortlessly on our computers. The left never controlled the narrative nor does the right, nor does any nation for that matter. News and information are global and if you bother to look a lot of the world's media is absolutely hostile towards the west, be it conservative or liberal.

I think the definition of ‘obsessive’ would be more suited to someone who repeatedly says the same thing over and over again.

Let’s pretend you have a point. It would have to be that 45 and Twitter have no relevance or interest outside the US.

I don’t think so but it’s ok if you do.

This is a tricky one because bad actors can completely destroy a forum if not moderated. I suppose the account owner could always turn off comments and just receive feedback via DM.

I've never understood why anyone would trust to get factual news from gossip platforms like facebook, tiktok, twitter, insta-whatever and all the other "cloudy" services. Makes no sense to me.
