Yeah that's True Jimizo.

Yep, and Blair should stand trial along with Bush.
It's worth remembering the Tories supported it.

The last Labor government took us into a war that we should have stayed out of.
All because Tony B. couldn't keep his nose out of George's hutt bole..

@jcapan and Toasted Heretic
Quick quiz. In which newspaper did the following article appear?
"Teenage Corbyn squashed my sister's baby rabbit with his pogo stick - horror on Christmas morning 1962"
A) The Sun
B) The Sunday Sport
C) The Guardian
If you chose C, you are wrong but you can find stuff as damaging but without the humour.
Toasted Heretic
The Sun has had to apologise to JC more than once, IIRC. Not sure if the Grauniad has faced up to their bias against him, yet.

Jimizo, imagine Corbyn's chances if he hadn't been screwed over by the press. What was it that LSE study found, that something like 75% of newspaper stories about him misrepresented his views. I know their treatment of him and the Clinton-Sanders race turned me of the Guardian for good.

If going back in time means a slowing of the near 35-year march to the right of UK politics, I hope you are right. A Tory party on the right and a Labour Party on the left. Why are people so afraid of or against giving people an actual choice?
I think a competent Labour leader running from the left could win an election given what opinion polls reveal - the electorate as whole is actually more supportive of Corbyn's ideas yet see May as a more convincing leader.
I'm sorry but I can't let the Hatton/Corbyn comparison go. Hatton was a flashy, showboating provocateur who was interested in headlines. The most he appeared to have read was a Marxist flyer and an introduction to a Trotsky biography. Policies? The most tangible thing I can remember were idiotic publicity stunts involving taxis and bankruptcy.
Corbyn is running from the left. Bernie Sanders could have beaten Trump had he not been screwed over. Melenchon finished just a few points behind Macron in the first round in France.
Call it going back in time if you like. I see it as quite refreshing.
Choice is a nice thing at election time.

BBack in time to an alternative 1985 that existed only in the addled minds of racist baby-boomers ....
DDoc Brown really screwed up the timeline this time - and Biff is president of the USA.
SSort out the android errors mod please.

I am not sure Jimizo, Heath and May are interventionists. You probably, if you dont mind me saying, lived through this era. I reserve judgement we are stepping back in time.
Jimizo
Heath would be furious at May's Brexit tough-talk.
Hatton's only policy was to get his name in the papers.
itsonlyrocknroll
What you have here is a choice between the policies Edward Heath, and Derek Hatton.
Jimizo
Doesn't sound like a game changer and Paxman's getting a bit of stick for not hitting the right targets.
Nick Robinson wrote an interesting Tweet:
"Tonight confirmed what we already knew - Corbyn vulnerable on his own past. May vulnerable on her party's policies for the future."
Pretty good summary.
