no sympathy for people who refuse to get vaccinated and work in close contact with children - find another job.

All for people speaking their mind whether their opinion is right or wrong. Several threats of violence were made against individuals though and police need to make an example of those making the threats.

how do vaccines not save us?
Vaccines have been saving us for over 200 years.......I think you don't really understand what a vaccine is, what it does or how it does it. But vaccines DO work, they DO protect and they have kept your sceptical self safe from diseases that used to ravage people year in, year out.
Sven Asai
Who cares about those idiots, many others face curbs on everything in whole life, even when fully vaccinated. That’s not a criterion.

Finally they had enough of the authoritarian overreach of their government? It is high time.

The experimental mRNA shots are only "vaccines" if you take the new definition, conveniently modified by the NHI. According to the traditional definition, they are not.

I guess at least they didn't assault reporters, get drunk and urinate on the War Memorial as the anti-vaccine morons did in Melbourne.
Common denominator : Trump flags. Surprise, surprise.

@WilliB
Can you find one credible source that says the vaccines are unsafe or 'experimental'?
Coulda been
Does this mean that when the unvaccinated lose their job they will refuse to accept Govt (taxpayer) funded unemployment benefits? Hmmmm, probably not.

No. The harshest restrictions were eased back in mid-September - from level 4 to 3. And although restrictions will remain, they're being eased further as of 11:59pm tonight.
"Under this stepped approach, retail will be able to open in Auckland as well as public amenities such as museums and zoos. The change was flagged last week.
"Outdoor gatherings of up to 25 people will be able to take place as well, with people from more than the current two households. Funerals, tangihanga, weddings and civil unions will also have an increased limit of 25 people, plus venue staff."

Reckless
What the hell is wrong with these protesters? They have it made there.
Akula
Was in Wellington today and there were certainly some interesting types in that protest.
Although I don't support the current administration, I do support vaccination.
What seems to have triggered these people to protest is vaccine mandates for certain occupations, teachers for example. I just wonder how far we can go to compel people to get the vaccine to be honest.

Good for them! Real NZers standing up against fascism.

Jacinda’s Coerced and fear-driven “Team of 5 Million” is beginning to fall apart.
Larr Flint
One year too late. The countries who let themselves impose restrictions suffer most now.
Attilathehungry
I am not anti vaccine by any means, I think people SHOULD get vaccinated. Particularly if they are in a vulnerable group. But mandates are another matter. Working with kids means nothing- children are highly unlikely to catch Covid anyway, or pass it on to others. I think a grand total of 4 covid fatalities this month.
Enough people will volunteer to be vaccinated to provide herd immunity, so things will settle out naturally without imposing such draconian measures. But not fast enough apparently for the smugnorant class who can only see anti mandate people as lesser than themselves.

Good for them, and never fall victim to big government.

What about people whose jobs are in direct contact with the public? Should they be mandated?

Are you implying that natural immunity and almost dying is better than standard vaccines?
Larr Flint
All I'm saying is if country implement restrictions once they will never get rid of them.
It's like with tax hikes their are always a temporary solution.

Oh, you mean except for the countries that have been easing restrictions?
