Sad, but at the same time I think anyone who boarded a cruise ship within the last two months deserves to stay aboard.

It would be terrible to be trapped on one of these feared cruise ships. What started off as the vacation of a lifetime for some of these people has turned into a kind of a real life purgatory.

It would be even more terrible for anyone who might contract the Novel Virus from any of the people who were prematurely released from a contaminated cruise ship.

Chip Star - Yeah, it would; but we know that these people won’t simply be released from the ship into the general population. They will be quarantined again after disembarking.

No, "we" don't know that. People who handle the transfer will be exposed. People who work at the quarantined areas will be exposed. Their families will be exposed. And where do you quarantine these 3,000 cruise ship passengers? Where will the other cruise ship passengers be quarantined? AT HOME? Who will be volunteering any buildings, or landholdings, to house these numbers of people?

These people are onboard ships that can be easily replenished with food, water, care, and medicine.

Thousands of passengers on three cruise ships were stranded off Australia's west coast Wednesday as officials refused to let them land to avoid repeating the "utter disaster" of a previous cruise-related coronavirus surge.

"There are no circumstances we will allow passengers or crew to wander the streets in our state," West Australian Premier Mark McGowan told media on Wednesday.

Sorry folks, but you get to stay on board until you have been cleared by medical professionals.
