I'm no fan of Tillerson and the others from big oil Trump's appointed to his administration like Secretary of Energy Rick Perry. Trump's shown his close connections to big oil by pushing measures to allow them to pollute more. Plus the tax breaks the oil barons get from Trump and the GOP. Then there's Trump's use of the military throughout the globe to protect big oil's global interests.

Trump relying on Jared, another from the Trump syndicate who throughout his life has had zero loyalty to the US (maybe another country?), only to his bank account, shows once again Trump putting his needs above the country's. From all reports Jared and Ivanka are getting fatter with daddy-in-law in the White House.

Trump was a corrupt businessman, and even more corrupt politician.

I agree with your post, but isn't this ^^^ off topic?

The real test for me is, is there vigorous debate in the White House, and would wonder why this story hasn't explore that angle.

How was Jared going to negotiate the bailout for his 666 property in NYC with Rex listening in?

So, Kushner, the son-in-law of Trump, who couldn't get a security clearance until Trump intervened, who has not been approved by the Senate, circumvents Cabinet Members and holds secret negotiations with foreign countries. This is not in the best interest of the US.

Why does anybody consider Kushner to be employable in any capacity whatsoever?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Kushner = Israel = Control of the USA. Nothing new since that control was around waning and waxing since the time of Henry Kissinger and Madeleine Albright.

Nepotism is banana republic crap.

The foreign trips raised concerns, the former secretary said, because Kushner would not coordinate with the State Department or the local embassy in the countries he visited. Tillerson said he raised the issue with him but "not much changed."

Having 2 separate State Departments not good for the country

Public officials' duties should be on-record in the interest of public good, even if it can't be declassified until years in the future. Can't have a quasi-shadow figure acting in the capacity of a public official but not under the same scrutiny that such an office requires

In short, if ya wanna do the duties of the Secretary of State, then be the Secretary of State. Don't be the shadow power behind the throne - the public deserves to scrutinize the officials leading their government

As somebody once said “ we are screwed”.

I entered "diplomacy being conducted", "Donald Trump's son-in-law", and "a private meal", into my nifty new Systran Machine Translations for Personal, Business and Enterprise Usage and guess what popped out?

"Emoluments violation"
