this really makes me want to embrace the wonderful 'religion of peace' that islam is.

he should deserve 1000 life sentence just in case and burried in a pork skin just in case.

The silence by the moderate muslim community denouncing this kind of extremism in the name of Islam is deafening.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Its comforting to know that everytime he bends over in prison to pray to Mecca somebody will give him a stiff reminder of what he can expect for the rest of his worthless life!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I like the way that he was so dedicated that he didn't even try for a suicide bombing. What a loser.

he lit the fuse of his crude bomb packed in a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder, then walked away, pausing to listen for the explosion that never came

Reminds me of Wile E. Coyote.

False Flag

This not a Muslim - non Muslim thing, these fanatics just hide behind Islam and use it as their excuse much like the Europeans did throughout the world in 15, 16, 17 centuries when they took whatever they wanted and killed those who opposed all in the name of God. These terrorists are simply horrible people, who deserve all the pain they may receive in their lives. Dont make it a religious thing, theres enough prejudice in the world as it is! There are bad so called Christians, Muslims, Hindus and any other religion, bad Brits, bad Americans, bad Japanese. Can`t see the forest for the trees.

speed: "The silence by the moderate muslim community denouncing this kind of extremism in the name of Islam is deafening."

It's always funny to hear you guys say this kind of thing (like with the hotel attacks in India) and when the Muslim community denounces the incidents you make up more excuses for your intolerance.

This isn't about Islam -- it's about idiocy, and the guy deserves what he got.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I like the way that he was so dedicated that he didn't even try for a suicide bombing. What a loser

The article states he had other attack plans that were going to follow...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

After all of this, he will still remain the illiterate that he is. Citing the Quran and basing his actions on his religion is the act of a coward from hell and whenever he goes back won't be soon enough.

The Quran and Islam never condone killing innocent civilians who are not in a state of war, let alone carrying weapons. And the people who do will rot in hell, whatever the logic they were following.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

even in war Muslims in a battle are never supposed to kill non combatants.

NanbanOnigiri: Dont make it a religious thing, theres enough prejudice in the world as it is! There are bad so called Christians, Muslims, Hindus and any other religion, bad Brits, bad Americans, bad Japanese. Can`t see the forest for the trees.

Sorry but these idiots make it a religious thing. If it were my religion I'd be rather POed that it's giving me a bad name that I'd start to step up and volunteer to help authorities monitor these imbeciles. This "peaceful muslim" was just that until he got his citizenship, passport and then could go train and come back to wreak havoc. So unless innocent muslims start to help monitor these extremists well nothing will get better for them. We need all the help we can against such determined islamist psychos.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nobody has commented on the idiocy of declaring a "war" and then being shocked that enemies turn up. You can't have a "war" without an enemy.

Be careful what you wish for, it might come true.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This not a Muslim - non Muslim thing, these fanatics just hide behind Islam and use it as their excuse much like the Europeans did throughout the world in 15, 16, 17 centuries

Ridiculous. Islam was central to his life. They showed the guy's Facebook page - it was all Islam and all his 'friends' advertised their 'devotion' to Islam and in many cases the old country - Pakistan. Quit making excuses for terror, bigotry, misogyny and supremacism.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A terrorist has a Facebook page, HA HA HA HA! How convenient for those that want to use him as a terror-tool! I suppose Oswald would have had a Facebook page if we had the net in the 1960's because he was a CIA controlled patsy, too.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A terrorist has a Facebook page, HA HA HA HA! How convenient

He had degrees from American universities. He had US citizenship. He had a house in New York or Jersey (I forget which). And that is what makes the threat so serious. They live among us.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nobody has commented on the idiocy of declaring a "war" and then being shocked that enemies turn up.

We have a 'war' on drugs. We have a 'war' on poverty. Unfortunately it's become part of policy wording. You seem to exonerate the 'enemy.' Am I wrong?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Why CNC are you muslim? Are you an ex-muslim? If you have said no to both of these questions then I sincerely doubt you know how Islam percieves "war" and "non-combatants" Muslim apostates can tell you exactly what Islam deems as "war" and there is no such thing as a non-combatant in Islam. Only their version of "treaties" which isn't the kind of treaty you're mistaking it for. Talk to ex-muslims. They know the game.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Mikehuntez - you think peaceful muslims dont do this, an alledged terror plot was foiled in the UK a few years back when one of the terrorist plotters was given up by his dad, who until that point had no idea what his son was into. Your average terrorist doesnt advertise hes going to blow something up, it kind of takes the suprise element out of it. There is actually quite an extensive whistle blowing system set up, certainly in the UK, that keep authorities well informed, where do you think the tip offs come from?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nanban I really hope you are correct. I just wonder how you know that for a fact. Are you privy to some kind of information the rest of us aren't.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“I’m happy with the deal that God has given me.”

The reply should have been, "Oh - perhaps youre confused by the suit - Im just a US district judge"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If I’m given 1,000 lives, I will sacrifice them all for the life of Allah.”

Hey? Theres no credibility in this statement. He didnt sacrifice this one!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

You seem to exonerate the 'enemy.' Am I wrong?

Yes you are. I am not exonerating the enemy, I am accusing the US government of being up to no good.

The sane response to the WTC attacks would have been to treat it as a criminal matter and limit the scope to those involved, not to declare war against a tactic and basically issue an invitation. "Are you angry, disillusioned, and Muslim? Well we have a war for you!" But there was obviously a propaganda campaign against that way of doing it, led by Cheney, who attacked that way every chance he got. A wimpy, European way of doing things according to fearless "I am too busy to go to Vietnam" leader Cheney. So why did he do that? Because he is stupid? No way. Because they wanted a war obviously, and they got what they wanted. Maybe for a little longer than they planned though.

Problem is now the USA is so addicted to this war that they can't stop. If the "War on Terror" ended tomorrow, the US unemployment rate would go through the roof. And so maybe Simon Fox's crazy conspiracy theories aren't actually so crazy.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Oh, boy he's not kidding about the onslaught.--

These types of people will never stop. Plus because of the unwanted wars in afganistan and Iraq. The americans breed more terrorists instead of squashing the nest. The nest broke up in billion pieces. Very sad alot of innocent people will pay the price. God Bless The World

0 ( +0 / -0 )

We should at least be grateful he proved incompetent as a bomb-maker. He'll be released after 8 years for good behaviour and then he can go home to Pakistan and herd sheep.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Problem is now the USA is so addicted to this war that they can't stop. If the "War on Terror" ended tomorrow, the US unemployment rate would go through the roof.

Keynesians said that about 1946 and were as wrong then as always.

Quote: “Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun,” 31-year-old Faisal Shahzad told a federal judge.

I wonder what the average Muslim would say about this, in his heart, to his friends and to the world community?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun,” 31-year-old Faisal Shahzad told a federal judge.

Any 'moderate' Muslims protesting this?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is what you get for starting a stupid war against a religion instead of an extremist group. This war has killed more civilians(moderate muslims and their siblings) than the invaders. If I am one of those who have been made an orphan by this stupid war,I will never forgive the intruder.America can not and will not be safe as before. You can not eat your cake and have it,America.

Simon and Jack certainly make this thread a fun read.

Simon, I like your falseflag way of thinking. If you look at the terruhrist's statements, he wants us all to believe that there is some big war of cultures going on and that everyone needs to be vigilant, afraid, etc. Well, that certainly serves many different interests, doesn't it? It gets all of the Bin Laden's, Ahmadinnejad's and TimRusserts of the world salivating.

But what should our response be? Rabid overkill? No. I think it should be more like tacit indifference. Radical islam, if it really can offer people what the west has, will win no matter what we do. And if it can't, it won't. We certainly don't have to kill every muslim to prove it. We didn't have to kill every Russian to bring down Leninism there, and it looks like Maoism and Castroism are struggling for breath.

So whether this guy is a false flag or not, it would be best to react as though he is. In the meantime, being friendly, confident, and competent is the best way to hold up the banner of western civilization. This guy and his ilk are losers anyway, no matter what they believe.

He would like everyone to believe that he is God's chosen person, but well, he's not it. He should be wondering why God didn't tell him about his fertilizer mix ups. Or could it be that God really wanted him to fail? If just goes to show you that fanatics are chock full of denial.

And Jack, your "frame of reference" joke thing there was very good. Well played sir.

And one more thing. Nice going JUDGE! She pointed out the inherent dishonor of lying for citizenship and then admonished him for not being very learned. She took some time to reveal that his actions are inconsistent even when viewed in light of his own values. ... or should I say... She let HIM reveal that about himself. Plus, she is a woman, of course, which is kind of a burn in itself.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It sounds like you want this to be a religious war, bigmouth, even if it is not.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

mikehuntez - the dad telling authorities about his son was in the news in the UK about 5-6 years ago i think, my memory fails me in being more accurate, it was in Leeds/Bradford area. His Dad was horrified he was planning attacks so gave him up when he found out. As for the network, i only know as a family member is working for the counter terrorism unit in the UK, i was told of the networks and police controlled/guided groups that are monitored and then nipped in the bud if things advance to threat level. The police actually have too much information from informers (muslim and non muslim) and can`t follow everything they have been told.

"will keep him behind bars until he dies"

How about executing him now and saving a whole lotta taxpayer money?

TimRussert: "Klein2's grasp of economics is about as sound as his grasp of history."

Yes, they are, for they deal with the real world instead of the mixed up one you guys create for yourselves and claim to be real. He is bang on as well in how we should react to this terrorist's comments; not panic and run for the hills, or cancel our travel plans everywhere while we hole up in the basement. We should go out our business as usual, and treat others, Muslims included, with respect and good will. Otherwise you give them what they want.

Some things need to be restated every so often.

Iraq is a Muslim country today, and and so are Afghanistan and Pakistan. No-one in the world has a problem with this. Except for the extremists. They will happily go in and kill fellow Muslims, often deliberately targeting Muslims. They would like to topple these governments, and also the governments of many other viable Islamic states in the Middle East and South-East Asia. America is a multi-faith country with many Muslims. American troops may be fighting abroad and many of these troops may be Muslim. Their proper purpose is never, and has never been, to target Muslims. In many cases America has fought to protect people under threat who happen to be majority Muslims. They protected the marsh Shiites of Iraq. They protected the Muslims of Kosovo. Not because they were Muslims, but because they were oppressed by an 'evil' regime. Anyone who says America is attacking Muslims or Islam is lying. (Why would they lie? Probably because it suits their recruiting propaganda and makes it easier to find bored and aimless recruits and give them a shining focus. Beware the shine of crazed religious zealots.)
0 ( +0 / -0 )

They will happily go in and kill fellow Muslims, often deliberately targeting Muslims.

Good point. It is telling that smithinjapan, klein2 and other apologists for militant Islam wildly inflate the number of dead in Iraq and downplay the number of Mohammedans who die at the hands of their co-religionists.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

this really makes me want to embrace the wonderful 'religion of peace' that islam is.

The silence by the moderate muslim community denouncing this kind of extremism in the name of Islam is deafening.

Right of the bat posts like these. For your information, the Muslim community has been quite vocal in denoucing these acts. FOX News won't report it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“You appear to be someone who was capable of education and I do hope you will spend some of the time in prison thinking carefully about whether the Quran wants you to kill lots of people,” Cedarbaum said.

He has done a lot of thinking on that point. And he believes it does. He is just following the example the founder of his cult set. Where is the mystery in this? Just read the Koran and investigate what the founder of Islam did while alive.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

moonbeams, I never watch Fox News, but you think some news sources deliberately suppress the mainstream Muslim voice? I would like to think that most of the world's media would be eager to pick up and relay this Muslim voice. In fact I am sure they would.

I suspect that Muslims are quite vocal among themselves about it, but these opinions rarely find their way into the mainstream news, even into Al Jazeera for example. I can think of a couple of examples, as after Mumbai, but not many.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nanban I really hope you are correct. I just wonder how you know that for a fact. Are you privy to some kind of information the rest of us aren't.

Yeah, he's privy to the news. You should try reading it. I remember when that happened. The guy was turned in by his own father.

The judge cut him off at one point to ask if he had sworn allegiance to the U.S. when he became a citizen last year.

“I did swear, but I did not mean it,” Shahzad said.

Here this nutjob terrorist has done America a favor by showing us the true face of his 'faith.' This form of lying is called taqiyya, and it is orthodox Muslim practice: to deceive non-believers if the act of deception promotes the advance of Islam.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Did he swear on the Quran I wonder?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“We are only Muslims trying to defend our religion, people, homes and land, but if you call us terrorists, then we are proud terrorists and we will keep on terrorizing you until you leave our lands and people at peace,” he told U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum.

Sounds fair enough.

Since the Koran denies separation of church and state it must be dismissed from American courts, though it is probably allowed in modern Canada...

How casually the Left sanctions violence of the most inhuman kind.

Are you seriously arguing men, women and children - Muslims among them (the guy who spotted the smoking SUV) - deserve to die horribly painful deaths because some Pakistani Mohammedan prefers to identify with the Taliban instead of his own country?

Chinese call the Dalai Lama and Tibetans 'terrorists.' Do you see them blowing up innocents?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

TimR - "How casually the Left sanctions violence of the most inhuman kind."

Tim, I don't know how out of touch with reality its possible for a person like yourself to get.

Your country INVADED another country. You treat that almost as if it never happened, with the blase air of someone who couldn't care less about how many innocents must die to support your notion that they are 'terrorists' who must be stopped.

Fanatics are fanatics. Timothy McVeigh was a Christian, wasn't he? And all these militias in the American South are going to make this lone wolf look like an angel when they start opposing the Federal government.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun,” 31-year-old Faisal Shahzad told a federal judge. “Consider me the first droplet of the blood that will follow.”

This is just so bizarre on so many levels.

First droplet of blood?

He was neither killed or wounded, and many people have already died. What an insult to his brethren!

This guy talks like he wants his pic up on bedroom walls, while ignoring the people who have gone before him and paid with their lives.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

the Muslim community always denounces these attacks. It's the people who just repeat over and over "how come they don't denounce terrorism?" that gets stuck in your memory.

Here: just google "muslim denounce terrorism" JT won't let me post the search results

It's called martyrdom. Islam glorifies it. Hard to believe ppl don't know this almost ten years after 9-11 and after Madrid and Bali and London and Beslan etc etc ad nauseum.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Fanatics are fanatics. Timothy McVeigh was a Christian, wasn't he? And all these militias in the American South are going to make this lone wolf look like an angel when they start opposing the Federal government." Just in case you haven't heard, we zapped him.... Quit making excuses and face reality, even if AQ and their kind are small in number compared to the muslims you feel you know so much about, its still a threat. Now how about growing up and use that education you parents paid for and tell us how we move forward. This is, with out a doubt, going to happen again and again. FYI only since you don't believe/like the fact that their a war waged against the west.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Timothy McVeigh was a Christian, wasn't he?

He stated he was an agnostic. Not even 'Catholic' IRA killers say what they do is for the glory of Jesus Christ.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Aunty American has a conspiracy she wants to tell us. What's the truth here? What really happened to Faisal Shazad?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

what's the score? I mean between a lot of these fanatics against McVey? You guys keep coming back with the same dead white dude.

“We are only Muslims trying to defend our religion, people, homes and land, but if you call us terrorists, then we are proud terrorists and we will keep on terrorizing you until you leave our lands and people at peace,” Pakistan national... we're not in Pakistan yet. We were no where near your place, in fact, it is us that help yous beat the Russians in a way, before 9-11. Sushi, fair enough?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Next time Miriam goldman cedarbaum or any other juge will not like to ask any more from Muslim Terorist suspects at the courts. Brother Faizal Shasazd was realy lucky man who says exactly what he wanted to say and it was in public and also in the US courts to the whole world. ( invade Occupices , crushing , terorising , killing innocent people against to them.) Many muslims die everyday in Afganistan , Iraq, Pakistan , at the gun point, there last words were not counted just into the air , we neverknows what there hate was...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yes miyazawa3, he was lucky to get the chance to sing to the world. Everything out in the open. Only in a democratic country. Let us all learn something from this.

And yes, many Muslims and Christians and non-believers die everyday in those countries. Every life is precious. I hope a day will come when everyone can put down their guns. People who want to worship the One God can then do so in peace.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Your country INVADED another country. You treat that almost as if it never happened,

And you treat it as it's the sole reason for terrorism. Is it your obsession as much as it is some others?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Your country INVADED another country. You treat that almost as if it never happened," We never invaded Pakistan, his home country. So, we are left with his religion.... did we invade that too? Funny, I thought 9-11 happened before the wars. I know Russia invaded Afghanistan, but don't seem to have too many Muslim terrorist actions (they know how to take care of the problem) I know for a personal fact that Iraq invaded Kuwait, but don't see too many Kuwaitis blowing things up in Iraq. My point: quit making up excuses and this guy is no one to praise.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun,” 31-year-old Faisal Shahzad told a federal judge. “Consider me the first droplet of the blood that will follow.

At least we're able to hear what's going on in the mind of a guy like this. Just pure rage. He somehow went from happy homeowner to trying to kill as many innocent people as he possibly could. Hopefully people can tell the difference between him and a regular Muslim. And hopefully those on the other side can see the difference between him and a sane person. His actions aren't Muslim and they aren't justified.

"klein2 and other apologists for militant Islam "

Oh geeze. Everyone is always calling me an apologist for something or other. I am .... unapologetic. I just call them as I see them Tim. I don't get too settled in to hate or harm or ideology. And no, I don't think militant Islam is a good thing, but there is a lot of other militancy rife in the world, too. In fact, my point is that the whole Islam thing is not superior to systems and institutions in the west now if those systems function properly. Social Darwinism will win this war for the west if people like TimRussert do not keep representing America's strengths as underpinned by hate.

I don't even think that moderate Islam is so great. But look at what Joe Pray-toward-Mecca's choices are. It is very much like being a Pakistani immigrant in Britain in the National Front years. If a moderate gets death threats and protests everywhere he goes, he can just knuckle under to second-class citizenship or stand up and be counted as a citizen. The first is humiliating. The second is difficult and risky. Americans were lynching blacks for "standing up" not that long ago. The Black Panthers got a lot of support from moderate normal black people who were sick of getting rousted all the time. This bomber guy had apparently had enough and was ready to check out rather than knuckle under.

What this guy did in trying to bomb Times Square was wrong in many ways, but throwing down the gauntlet at all Islamic people, as you do Tim, leads down a path where one will have to kill them all to end the bloodshed. That is unacceptable. Islamic people have to settle in and lead normal lives to be moderate and, in time, moderate their brethren. Your hate makes the healing that much harder, and you should stop. Let those who want to live lead normal lives without your hate. You have no idea how much your hate, in their mind, justifies what the extremists do.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

You have no idea how much your hate, in their mind, justifies what the extremists do." That works both ways man. Live normal lives? I nor many of my friends weren't able to for a while. Well, how about this, come in and respect the place you enter. He was given a job, a good one too, he was granted citizenship, he was catered too. Don't give us that crap that in comparing him what happened to blacks and us. I find it disgusting. The hate as well as the propergander on for America has been there for a loooooooong time. He knew, even at the hype stage, of where he was coming. Personally, I think it was all part of a plan.

How many more times does NYC have to get bombed before idiots come to terms that there is a an enemy out there and we need to stop them from hurting us.

lastly, were you one of those blaming tea party people for the bomb before they caught this pig?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"He somehow went from happy homeowner to trying to kill as many innocent people as he possibly could."

Patty Hearst gave up a lot more to pursue similar activities. I am sure it just seemed like the thing to do.

What seems abundantly clear to me is that the very smallest group of people can carry out destruction on a grand scale. I believe that will become easier and easier.

It sounds extremely corny to say it, but I think it can be proved mathematically that eventually this game has to end in peace because we are moving rapidly to a world of ubiquitous nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons, and threatened nation states. We cannot completely satisfy and pacify every small group of potential terrorists, but it is a cheap and very long-gun solution to attempt to assimilate and co-opt most of them by giving what a reasonable person might want, starting with dignity and tolerance, and a place to participate in society. I think this worked in Ireland, didn't it? I think this is what prevents each of us from feeling like an outsider.

I have said this on other threads and different subjects: focusing too much on who wins and loses at the expense of looking at overall improvement is a mistake. Baiting Islamic people as a whole, as some people do, might make America look more like a "winner", but it just makes the end game that much harder. That kind of hate is especially sad because it does not really accomplish anything. TimRussert is not out there with a gun killing Al Qaeda bad guys. He is in a barcalounger holding forth on how devout, serious people are second-class citizens just because of their religion.

Think of it as Night of the Living Dead. Hate is a virus that just produces more of the enemy. You can stop hating, or you can try to kill all of those fearsome monsters coming to get you. Sooner or later somebody is going to run out of bullets.

Now that this guy is put away, and the Manhattan Islamic center has been relocated, and nobody is burning any holy books, maybe it is time to lay off moderate Islam and stop beating on them.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Let's let this guy into the general population at his prison and count his militant status down in seconds.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

To bad he couldn't qualify to get the death penalty. Fail as a Islamic martyr if you ask me.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It sounds extremely corny to say it, but I think it can be proved mathematically that eventually this game has to end in peace" glad you have more faith than I do. who has to assimilate with who? My parents never asked the US for anything other than to allow them entry and they worked from there. Why must it be so different for Muslims? And as for your hate you claim, I think its more a defense mechanism. Just my op. Now that this guy is put away, and the Manhattan Islamic center has been relocated, and nobody is burning any holy books, maybe it is time to lay off moderate Islam and stop beating on them." I just looked, doesn't look like the center is going to be moved. And get off that crap that we are beating down moderate Muslims. I had not a single ounce of concern about Muslims/Arabs (I actually can pass for Arab btw). Nope, not even immediate after I found my work place in rubble and 800+ co workers vanished. But when I started hearing people like you jumping to conclusion and coming to the defense of Islam and every single honest question was called a stereotype, bigotry, you really pushed more people over to this side.

Klein2 says

Now that this guy is put away, and the Manhattan Islamic center has been relocated, and nobody is burning any holy books, maybe it is time to lay off moderate Islam and stop beating on them.

The failed holy warrior Shazad warned of more attacks. Have you forgotten already? Shazad is the one promising and threatening more bloodshed, more mayhem , car bombings in American cities, jihadis coming from half way around the world .

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Notice that the times squate bomber does not distinguish between the "peaceful majority" and the "tiny minority of violent misunderstanders" that we are always reminded to observe. He simply speaks for us muslims.

skipthesong:

" My parents never asked the US for anything other than to allow them entry and they worked from there. Why must it be so different for Muslims? "

Because the commands of the shariah come from god are therefore higher than any secular laws or traditions. Simple as that.

Shahzad responded that the “Quran gives us the right to defend. And that’s all I’m doing. Ok, for me this says it all, this fool, takes scripture way, way to seriously, and instead of using his pea brain for something positive, no he feels he is some kind of Muslim victim of Christianity (the USA) what an idiot!

Elbudomexicano:

" Ok, for me this says it all, this fool, takes scripture way, way to seriously, and instead of using his pea brain for something positive, no he feels he is some kind of Muslim victim of Christianity (the USA) what an idiot! "

Why "idiot"? It is a standard muslim point of view. Note that this is not substantially different from what Feisal Rauf, the WTC mosque imam, is arguing. The US, by being in muslim lands and by supporting Israel, is creating the terrorism against itself.

You can call him wrong, but he is not idiot. He simply follows a very widespread line of teaching.

Er, OK, I understand that his religion is not under attack. Perhaps branches of it by other Muslims. That is clear. Muslim people are also not especially under attack, except in isolated places in the world where fighting goes backwards and forwards; that is also true. Homes and land then. To what does he refer? Not Iraq or Afghanistan because you cannot leave them 'at peace'. They are at war within. So, ... does he mean Palestinian homes and land then?

I hope this piece of sub-human gutter trash really cops it in prison. But then again - I am sure U.S. prisons are pretty much full up with Muslims who will laud their "brother" as some sort of hero. At least it's another one of them off the streets...

" He somehow went from happy homeowner to trying to kill as many innocent people as he possibly could. Hopefully people can tell the difference between him and a regular Muslim. "

And how exactly do you define a "regular muslim"? He was indoctrinated with radical islam. How silly of me to think that that is something that is more likely to happen to a muslim than to a non-muslim.
