This will no doubt please the right-wing haters of President Obama on this board, knowing that finally they've got Fidel Castro on their side.

Politics sure does make some strange bedfellows.

“It was an open secret that countries would not reach an agreement,”

very true and because of that Western Media's attempt to project Obama as a Heros of COP15 failed alongwith the summit.

Raul Castro, not Fidel. It makes a difference. < :-)

To adaydream:

Rodriguez’s comments Monday echoed remarks by former President Fidel Castro, who in a weekend opinion column called Obama’s speech in Copenhagen “deceitful, demagogic and full of ambiguities.”

They've got both brothers as good buddies now.

Thanks yabits. I was commenting on this article, but thanks for the clarification. On the brothers thing. There are 7 of us brothers in my family and we don't agree on much of anything. < :-)

Global warming cannot be stopped. Who cares. This is a money making event. Buy and sell and trade. Should not be allowed or trade units. I really do not understand why Cuba is so angry though, as they have no industry per say. They do have a lot of live stock though, and live stock put out a lot of gasses. Perhaps they can figure out a way to stop that, and contribute to storing methane.

Dude is just angry that the Cuban cigar solution was ignored in Copenhagen. There has been absolutely no scientific evidence that Cuban cigars contribute less to global warming that other cigars (primarily from Honduras.)

Rodriguez also said Cuba and other poor nations have refused to recognize the agreement because they weren’t permitted to participate in its development.

the revolution has been going on since 1959 and it is still a poor backward country? What a shame. It is a large beautiful island in a great location. If there was to be a socialist utopia , that should be the place. Authoritarian socialism seems to fail everywhere it is tried. Maybe President Obama can learn from fellow traveler Bruno.

Castro is angry at Mr Obama? Just a little lovers' quarrel is what I reckon.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Castro's just angry because all his baseballers are defecting to the major leagues.

If Chapman goes to Obama's White Sox, there's gonna be some sparks.

And on the flip side it's going to be interesting to hear the radical left actually criticize Castro....

"Obama lied"

That's ridiculous. President Obama, like Mr. Spock, is incapable of lying.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Do you know how to tell when a politician is lying? His lips are moving!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

And on the flip side it's going to be interesting to hear the radical left actually criticize Castro....

Well, I suppose that the "flip side" of a logical, rational statement (mine) would be something from out of La-La Land.

This story can't be true. Heh, the liberals said the entire world looooves Barack Hussein Obama.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Time for Obama to hop on AF-1 for a quick jaunt to Havana for a bow to the Castro's that'll make the one he gave to Akihito look like a slight nod of the head.

Freedom of speech...

Normally, the words of dictators in Havana make no sense, but this one does. What to expect from a bunch of lawyers who rule the Washington? The quick fix and the end justify the means are their morals. Besides, it reveals the real nature of liberal global socialists acting like a bunch of wolves which killed one another for their gains. Peace??? Enjoy your dream.

“deceitful, demagogic and full of ambiguities.”

Not even the warmest global could thaw such frosty relations between comrades.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is that meant to be a revelation? If so, Bruno is a few months late.

Obama should fly to Cuba, bow to Castro, and ask him to buy US Treasuries.

Obama should fly to Cuba, bow to Castro, and ask him to buy US Treasuries.

...With the remittances from Exiles in Miami --oh, how apropos.

Castro is just angry he didn´t get a bigger part of the gravy train.

This whole climate scam is so ridiculous, Saturday Night Live could not make it up.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Perhaps Obama should host a mohito summit with the Castro's at the White House to smooth over their ruffled feathers.

They don't sound too happy. Were the Cubans more content back in their isolation bottle? Maybe they need to keep the vitriol level consistently high in order to stay ahead of their Venezuelan fanclub.

Barack, after decades of repub rule, finally delivers Cuban style health care to the poor and oppressed in America and this is how Castro thanks him? Fidel missed a good chance to shutup for once.

Maybe they need to keep the vitriol level consistently high in order to stay ahead of their Venezuelan fanclub.

There's something to that. I think it's something akin to the beaten child syndrome. Once the beating cease they feel they aren't being given their due attention. Some attention, even bad attention is better than complete dismissal.

Cuba’s foreign minister called President Barack Obama an “imperial and arrogant” liar

Bruno, Americans have known this since about 12:02 on Jan. 20th.

“It was an open secret that countries would not reach an agreement”

Heh, President Mighty Mouse needs to stop flying into Copenhagen to save the day. He's now 0-2 there.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Just a few months ago they were all penpals. Disgusting how after receiving the Peace Prize the world's socialists/communists are turning on a fellow comrade.

Sad, I tells ya. Just sad.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Heh, President Obama needs to stop flying into Copenhagen to save the day. He's now 0-2 there."

Har!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well if a Communist country said Obama is a Liar then it must be true. These communist countries are known for their honesty. I guess poor poor Pres Obama will have to invest in a few kegs to get them to say something good about him. Wairo is very common among the Democrats. And one that is not cash is one great way of making the crime not look like a crime. How smart is Mr. Obama if he would make such a clever move like that? No wonder he is Pres.

So let's get this clear. Cop15 ended in confusion, OK.

The Brits blame the Chinese and the Cubans blame Obama. We get to hear about the Chinese slamming the Brits for their lies.

Now do we get to hear the US slamming Cuba?

Disgusting how after receiving the Peace Prize the world's socialists/communists are turning on a fellow comrade.

The socialists/communists didn't like Bush, even after he socialized the banking system with TARP. Why would they treat Obama any different?

The Ironic thing is after receiving the peace prize and finishing Copenhagen, he ordered missile attacks on Yemen. Niether peaceful nor carbon reducing.

Twitter God warns against UN, Climate Change, Copenhagen, Psalm 1, 2, II Chronicles 16:7-9, 20:35-37, Leviticus 26, Isaiah 8:9-14, Isaiah 30:1-7

If the UN goal were really survival and they need to reduce pollutants below pre-industrial levels, the goal is simple. Back away from the employment lifestyle that caused all the world problems and turn to a garden paradise lifestyle that solves them easily. The employment lifestyle has become an industry in itself that enslaves people unnecessarily. God has true freedom, but only when we live according to His written word. If the UN goal is investments and control over nations, they must continue the employment lifestyle though it continues to destroy the planet.

And why do we dignify Cuba's official statement with credit again? What's next, dignify Venezuela's Chavez's statements criticizing the US government?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

As a progressive I cant completely disagree with the opinion that even though we in America voted for Barack's plan of wealth redistribution (by force, if necessary) we have a looong ways to go until we achieve the kind of equity and social justice Castro brought to citizens of once-impoverished and oppressed Cuba.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Once impoverished? Try still impoverished. As far as oppression goes you will still get locked up in Cuba if you speak out against the government. Castro is no better than Battista was and Cuba is still a mess.

I guess the Cubans are all pretty much equally poor and oppressed though. Is that a good result?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Are they saying he lied only in Copenhagen? LOL

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So, this thing actually took place...

Did anything come out of it?

There was some mention of it in the media a week or two ago and then... nothin'.

I thought maybe it was cancelled.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

As a progressive I cant completely disagree with the opinion that even though we in America voted for Barack's plan of wealth redistribution (by force, if necessary)

Sei, you've gone way past 'progressive'. By your own stated desires, you're a 'Marxist'.

'Progressive'? Not hardly.

Bruno Rodriguez is only protecting the Castro brother's from their socialist rival; that is all this outburst is about. President Obama is the new leader of the Left supplanting both Castro's and Chavez. Just political jealousy, thats all.
