Misleading headline again. The supreme court did not "dismiss the case"; it sided with the islamists and discriminates against the Christians.
Ironically, while this is happening in Malaysia, muslim activists everywhere keep telling us that "Allah" equals "God". They should tell that to the Malaysian court.

Allah is not pleased that some people are forbidden to speak his name.
He wonders if Muslims are forbidden to call him God or any other of his various names.

Glad I don't live in Malaysia. Having a government and court system so influenced by a "religion" is bizarre and backwards.
nandakandamanda
Quote: Outside the court, which was cordoned off, about a hundred Muslim activists cheered the news of the verdict. Earlier, they had shouted “Allahu Akbar” or “God is great”...
Wrong. Since they are now officially separate, the court has decreed there are two gods. Allahu Akbar does not mean God is great, and the court is guilty of blasphemy.

nandakandamanda, you're on a roll today!

If the muslim judge decreed there are two gods, Allah and God, surely he is guilty of apostasy? He'd better watch out for the mob of irate beard wearers calling for his head.

Glad I live in a country like Australia that separates church and state. Malaysia is just asking for civil strife with state ruling on religion.

Malaysia's a great place. Civilised people and better food.

Bulls eye! But do you think any of these chanting morons, or even the Malaysia muslim judges, are able to think that far? It seems to me, their logic goes no further than "Ha! We stuck it to those kuffars."

Apparently "Allah©" preexists the founding of Islam. Perhaps the English phrase, "There is no God but Allah©" should be changed to, "There is no Allah© but Allah©."

The story I heard was that many peoples in and around the Arabian peninsula worshipped a female deity called Allat (al = The, Lat = Goddess) and some believed that she was the daughter of Allah (Al-Lah = The God), centuries before Islam. One story says that Muhammad destroyed her shrine in order to make monotheism absolutely clear.
That is why in the Qu'ran it clearly states that Jews, Christians who believe in Allah, ie true believers, should be respected, since there is only one, er... Allah© as Laguna says. LOL
To say that God and Allah are different is actually an exercise in impossibility, even before the thought itself was strictly prohibited in Islam, but as WilliB says these "chanting morons" haven't even thought that far, let along had any personal experience of the divine.

I have a friend who is a computer programmer with the Fortune 10 here in the States.
He came here about twenty years ago for a stay as he did not see any future in Malaysia. He told me the government of Malaysia is filled with corruptions. He has two other siblings; one immigrated to Australia and the other one immigrated to Canada. So there is a big gap between what I have been told by him and what you said here on JT. Who is telling me the truth?
