Got crushed! That’s what happens when you let personal agendas outweigh what your constituents elected you to do.

But hey she just compared herself favorably to Abraham Lincoln. No ego there

No surprise, it was expected. The people in her State warned her and she didn’t listen and so the people said, “enough” finally.

Would have been even worse loss had she not begged Dems to vote for her

So do you feel she should have supported the big lie instead, so that she could hold power, rather than try to protect democracy?

No American should support election deniers, for any position of genuine responsibility, (because) their refusal to follow the rule of law will corrupt our future

Whatever your views on Liz Cheney, this makes a lot of sense.

Only genuinely disturbed and extraordinarily unintelligent people truly believe the crap Trump shovels, but there are reasonably intelligent opportunists out there who will play on this deluded group - usually with the ‘who knows?’ approach.

Universal suffrage is probably the right approach in democracies but it is very problematic.

absolutely! And Voters agreed with me yuuuuuugely.

Now go cry for your fallen hero

Well, anyway, it’s over. She’s done and thank God for that. Now we can move on

Telling the truth is s death sentence in today's GOP.

Make them suffer.

15 ( +29 / -14 )

The audio feed from this ridiculous dog and pony show was pathetic.

Good luck, you’re on a roll…down hill.

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

Great news for your country. They'd rather believe the big lie, than support democracy.

You sound like Liz, anything else you can talk about or is J6 your limit?

Telling the truth is s death sentence in today's GOP.

No, it’s about listening to your constituents, you represent them and the people wanted to move on from that day and live basically told the people that put her in office to shove it, so they decided to shove her aside. But I don’t feel even a little sorry for Liz, she can make more money in the private sector anyway, lead some Fortune 500 company, so, she’ll be alright.

I’m in favour of universal suffrage but I can see the argument against.

The fact that the Trump stolen election claim is believed by people with the right to vote is very disturbing.

I remember buying a lint remover for wool products and it came with a warning not to attempt to shave with it.

The people who need these warnings can vote and I’m pretty sure how they vote.

I NEVER thought I would be complimenting a Chaney. And to be fair, some day I look forward to arguing with her about climate, taxes and abortion access. (Oh and I still loathe her father...)

But hat's off to her for not drinking the Big-Lie Kool-Aide.

There was no fraud.

Trump lost.

He lied about it.

He incited a mob of insurrectionists to overthrow the elected government.

These are the facts and Liz had the courage to stand up and tell the truth. It says more about the GQP in WY than it does about her.

She will now pivot to making Trump's live a living breathing hell. There is no (credible) news organization that will deny her an in-studio or on-air interview and she is going to have plenty of time and money to talk.

If she runs as an independent in 2024, she will attract universally the increasingly small population of Team Sanity from the GQP base thus serving as Trump's Perot IF (Big if) he is not in jail, under indictment or denied the nomination.

Congrats, Team Crazy. A phirric victory this round.

Doesn’t matter how many times you or the left tell themselves this. The State of Wyoming decided they had enough of Liz and like all of you guys her that can’t sadly talk about anything else except for J6, the people in that state said, Liz wants to keep talking about it, she needs to go and even with the deepest financial help from the left it didn’t work. They were the ones drinking the Kool aid.

These are the facts and Liz had the courage to stand up and tell the truth.

The left keeps saying this.

Eh? Trump's inner circle told us mate with their testimony under oath. Democrats didn't tell us anything.

Everyone not engaged in the coup, the cover-up or in the cult is saying this.

And unlike Don's cult, nobody is disputing that she lost.

.wonder which one is next?

If you believe the DOJ, most likely his own.

Although "Dynasty" seems a bit of a misnomer for the Ronald, er "Donald".

3 ( +11 / -8 )

actually it was republicans testifying under oath, exactly what they saw Trump doing on Jan 6 and leading up to. the 62 + court cases Trump lost without eveidence.

Not sure what you are talking about, but only the Dems care and want to talk about J6 and because of that, so many Dems are losing their primaries

Me, NO

Ok, you think the way you want. It’s a free world.

-12 ( +6 / -18 )

so many Dems are losing their primaries

You don’t understand what primaries are. Democrats cannot, by definition, lose a Democrat primary.

14 ( +19 / -5 )

The left keeps saying this.

not just the left

The polls I’ve seen give an average of about 35% of the electorate believing the election was stolen.

The individual IQs of the believers in that would be around double that number.

"The people in her State warned her and she didn’t listen and so the people said, “enough” finally."

Let the freaks have the MAGA people running that they want, all the more guaranteed wins for Dems. They got the illiterate and mentally ill Hershel Walker, the quack Dr. Oz., and hopefully the biggest loser of all (in every respect, including election results), Trump himself.

5 ( +11 / -6 )

The GOP is fundamentally dishonest and authoritarian to the core. A personality cult with no morals beyond “enrich the elite”.

Yeah, sure. Anyway, all the big bravado and blustering won’t help the Dems in November. The people had enough of these American-hating bunch.

-13 ( +6 / -19 )

and like all of you guys her that can’t sadly talk about anything else except for J6,

Do you know what the Republican Party's platform is? Nothing. They didn't bother writing one up, stating that they'll just follow whatever Trump wants. And you know what Trump talks about more than anything else? How he was supposedly cheated two years ago (which he wasn't) and how he's going to inflict revenge on those who don't kiss his backside and work toward a more successful coup in 2024. Meanwhile the GOP's leadership and cult membership talk about nothing but getting back at those who injured their idol's fragile ego.

That's your Republican party.

10 ( +16 / -6 )

This really isn't the victory that Trump's rubes believe it to be.

Yes, she lost. It was a free and fair election, and Liz lost.

She will now pursue the facts regarding Trump's sedition with as much or more abandon than she did before right up until the new Congress is sworn in.

To the extent that the election ever mattered in her investigation (And I am going with zero here), it will matter even less. So more sworn testimony by Trump's OWN GOP appointees. More hearings.

AND THEN......

Rich from speaking fees and book deals, with a lot of time on her hands and Trump in her sights.

If he were not such a sociopath and didn't so deliciously deserve it, I might almost feel sorry for the man.

Before everything is said and done, Trump is going to get it into his empty head that he made a mistake when he chose Liz as his enemy.

All his usual metrics of insult and defamation will bounce off of her like so much seasame seeds off a speeding truck.

His efforts to deflect and change the subject will be about as successful as a civilian airplane trying to shake off a SAM.

He is the bloated and bleeding seal and she is the White Shark.

If he is not worried yet, it's because he is just as utterly stupid as I suspect he truly is.

Who knows, he might just admit everything to the DOJ just to make her stop?

5 ( +14 / -9 )

Anyway, all the big bravado and blustering won’t help the Dems in November. The people had enough of these American-hating bunch

Yeah the right keep saying that. But they don’t know what they are saying half the time.

Follow sports, you might win more often.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

Yeah, sure. Anyway, all the big bravado and blustering won’t help the Dems in November. The people had enough of these American-hating bunch.

Republicans will win. Therefore, it doesn't matter that the GOP is a dishonest, authoritarian personality cult with no morals. Hope you feel proud of that.
