This should be a relatively quick fight in court given it's black-letter law that the chairman has the power to obtain the tax returns if anyone.

Adios, Mnuchin.

Trump originally stated that he'd be happy to turn over his tax returns if he wasn't under audit. Once that argument was proven to be bogus, he shifted to the "I-won-and-Democrats-didn't-and-I-don't-wanna" argument.

What's he got to hide?

The Democrats are going to lose big time on this again.

Adios, Mnuchin

I doubt it.

You sound confident for not being a lawyer and the law clearly cutting against your position.

The Democrats are going to lose big time on this again.

I guess you don't believe in transparency and accountability.

I do, but this is not the reason why the Dems want Trump’s taxes at this point. Only a fool would believe if they saw them they would say, ok, thank you Mr. President and move on.

Would never happen, so at this point, showing them wouldn’t solve or quell anything except give more ammunition to the Piranha to use against him. The Dems should take it to the courts, if they say so, good, if not, just as good.

Headline correction: Mnuchin refuses to comply with law

Enough of this. Start putting people in jail. Congress do your jobs.

And for you Trumpkins: riddle me this: why oh why do you suppose Trump doesn't want his taxes available like every other President since Nixon?

Headline correction: Mnuchin refuses to comply with law.

Neither did Rice, Clinton, Holder, Reid...ahhh, tiring! The list goes on, Mnuchin is definitely not the first and won’t be the last.

Enough of this. Start putting people in jail. Congress do your jobs.

Congress do their jobs??? ROFL! Their approval rating is lower than the Presidents, good luck with that! Lol

And for you Trumpkins: riddle me this: why oh why do you suppose Trump doesn't want his taxes available like every other President since Nixon?

I don’t know and don’t care, most people really don’t care at this point, Trump didn’t release them during his campaign and was still elected President, so the only people that really care are the haters that are trying to bring him down and to be honest, that’s all what this is about, nothing more because if the Dems would get it, they wouldn’t stop there and I don’t blame this President for not wanting to show them, he’d be the biggest fool to do so.

What does Trump have to hide that he does not want people to know?

I don’t know and don’t care

You could have just stopped here.

What does Trump have to hide that he does not want people to know?

As in the words of HRC: “At this point what difference does it make?”

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

The Dems still don't get it. They are not legally entitled to Trump's tax returns.

What does Trump have to hide that he does not want people to know?

As in the words of HRC: “At this point what difference does it make?”

That was actually "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

The American people elected Trump without seeing his tax returns except for 2005 which Rachel Maddow showed us that he paid a higher percentage than either Bernie or Barack, and they'll do it again in 2020. hehe

Trump in 2012;

Why is @BarackObama spending millions to try and hide his records? He is the least transparent President--ever--and he ran on transparency.

For the sake of transparency, @BarackObama should release all his college applications and transcripts--both from Occidental and Columbia.

President Obama is the least-transparent president in the history of this country. There’s never been anything like it. We know very little about our president….If he releases these records it will end the question[s], and indeed the anger, of many Americans. They’ll know something about their president. Their president will become transparent like other presidents.

Maybe if we saw his tax returns we'd find out who the liar is; Trump when he says he has "zero" business with Russia, or Don Jr and Eric who say that's where they get all their money...

What a Loser...

As if Trump would show his tax returns and then all the haters would somehow and miraculously come to grips and say to themselves, “well he has shown us his tax returns, and now we can except or even like this president.” What a joke these Democrats are. I hope this President fights this all the way, because the haters will hate regardless if they see his tax returns or not.

U.S. Treasury Dept. To Congress: Sorry, your request is illegal and we cannot help you without being indicted ourselves. We suggest you look up the limitation of your jurisdiction, which applies to oversight of legislation, not open season investigations of the private finances of U.S. citizens. Go pound sand.

Trumpists defending a criminal are the real haters.

What about the haters trying to kick out a duly elected President from office?

Trump’s tax returns must be toxic.

Trump’s tax returns must be toxic.

Yeah, someone must have dumped poison on them, hehe

More likely they show he's owed a refund.

In the span of nearly a decade, from 1985 to 1994, Donald Trump lost more money than nearly any other individual American taxpayer, a new report has claimed. His hotels and casinos racked up $1.17 BILLION in losses' - but was always bailed out by his dad. The losses are greater than an other taxpayer.

What does Trump have to hide that he does not want people to know?

Fraud.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Hah! The Biggest Loser! Donnie paid no tax 8 out of 10 years because he was losing so much money!

Remember when you said this Donnie in 2012;

HALF of Americans don't pay income tax despite crippling govt debt...

Yea, that's you loser...

What a con and a fraud...when will his supporters wise up...

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

LOL... so Trump took advantage of tax laws, who cares? The Democrats are getting desperate now.

Trump on Wednesday defended his massive losses he racked up in the 1980's and 1990's saying the tax write-offs from bead deals were all part of the "sport" of the business at the time.

Trump lied about how successful his business deals were actually were bad ones. Many people are concerned when he lies.
