This should be a relatively quick fight in court given it's black-letter law that the chairman has the power to obtain the tax returns if anyone.

Trump originally stated that he'd be happy to turn over his tax returns if he wasn't under audit. Once that argument was proven to be bogus, he shifted to the "I-won-and-Democrats-didn't-and-I-don't-wanna" argument.

I don’t know and don’t care, most people really don’t care at this point, Trump didn’t release them during his campaign and was still elected President, so the only people that really care are the haters that are trying to bring him down and to be honest, that’s all what this is about, nothing more because if the Dems would get it, they wouldn’t stop there and I don’t blame this President for not wanting to show them, he’d be the biggest fool to do so.

As if Trump would show his tax returns and then all the haters would somehow and miraculously come to grips and say to themselves, “well he has shown us his tax returns, and now we can except or even like this president.” What a joke these Democrats are.
