Gotta respect SK where a president can be arrested and put on trial. That would never happen here unfortunately.

Here or anywhere else.

REspect for SK is wide of the mark.  It is a country where the legal/judicial system is routinely abused.

the legal/judicial system is routinely abused EVERYWHERE. At least there they put the person on trial. If the Pres can be put on trial, no one is above the law.

If the US held politicians to the letter of the law, every former president except Jimmy Carter would be in prison.

Japan

Park -- who faces multiple charges including bribery, coercion and abuse of power for offering governmental favors to tycoons

Didn't Abe do the EXACT same thing regarding Moritomo gakuen??

Readers, leaders of other countries are not relevant to this discussion. Please stay on topic.

If Japan held politicians to the same standards as SK, Abe would be in jail now, as opposed to running for office.
