Trudeau opens bruising Canadian election campaign

Trudeau's domestic policies have divided the country like no other leader in history. Although almost all Canadian federal politicians favour Quebec for political purposes the scale of Trudeau favouring his home province to the detriment of the western province has created a schism that may lead to the break up of the country if he is re-elected. He runs on wedge issues and social justice issues that are important to a small percent of the population while the notion of the country burns down around his feet.
