Expired tags. Single cigarettes. Counterfeit $20 bill.

This is just ridiculous. Give 'em a ticket and walk away. Nobody's life is worth this petty nonsense.

If the cops can't be the adults in the room then we don't need them.

The video shows Adam getting in and out of the vehicle, removing his coat and taking a karate-like stance and using expletives as he complains about being harassed by police. His wife and niece get in between him and the officer at times.

...“All of this resulted from an expired license plate tag. The video speaks for itself," Beresh said in a statement.

...“You can see him being verbally aggressive. My position is that if you can't take somebody yelling and swearing and screaming at you, then you probably shouldn't be a cop,” he said.

It's obvious that Allen Adam rejects the laws of Canada. They must not apply to him??? Because he's a Chief? Because he can assume a karate-like stance? Because he knows a lot of swear words?

Why should anyone be expected to "take somebody yelling and swearing and screaming at you"? Being a cop is just a job. Mark Mendelson may enjoy being abused at work, or he may enjoy hearing about other cops being abused at work, but there is no reason for Allen Adam to be abusive to anyone simply because that person is doing their job. Canadian law requires that trucks using public roads display up to date plates. Tell the legislators to change the law, or take it off the books.

Why should anyone be expected to "take somebody yelling and swearing and screaming at you"?

So they're justified at reacting to yelling and swearing with violence?

They used to teach police to expect video recordings of themselves making arrests. Somehow that message is making them think that is a good thing to be seen going bad.

Strangerland - So they're justified at reacting to yelling and swearing with violence?

Isn't that what the terrorist antifa, and the Democrats, refer to as "triggered"? Isn't being "triggered" the usual justification for Democrat, and antifa, violence? Or is it the usual claim that "words have meaning", and "words hurt our feelings"?
