The prime minister said he’ll tell Trump both countries are interlinked in ways that would hurt the nations if supply chains were cut.

Good on you PM. But by now I'm sure PM Trudeau knows full well Trump only understands what benefits him personally, and that he needs to tell Trump those clothes he's wearing (made at one of his or Ivanka's sweatshops in China, perhaps Bangladesh) are marvelous.

Wise decision, wise decision....

He simply doesn't want to descend to trumps level. And who indeed would?

BINGO!

Canadians are so lucky to have such a talented and classy leader...

We in the US have to put up with a demented idiot that still thinks he's the host of a low-brow reality TV show...

And unfortunately with the pandemic, Americans are paying for it with their lives...

If the US asks for more masks and ventilators than they already have in the US from other countries...............

“We are not looking at retaliatory measures or measures that are punitive, ” Trudeau said.

I would encourage Trudeau to try harder to support his countrymen during these trying times.

2/3 of Canadians think Trudeau is handling the coronavirus well

Two-thirds of Canadians think Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is doing a good job handling the COVID-19 crisis, according to a recent poll. It's a number that has grown larger over the course of the last few weeks. That still ranks him below some provincial premiers in this country, and some world leaders overseas.

Compared to:

A recent YouGov poll gave Trump an approval rating of 49 per cent on his handling of the crisis, with 44 per cent disapproving (broadly in line with other surveys). That is a relatively good mark for Trump and better than his overall approval rating.

Trump's decision is Natural when you put yourself into the position of a person trying to buy a Facemask in the US and can't find one, only to hear that your Local Manufacturer has shipped them off to another Country.....

Maybe Trudeau should have considered that his own country needs protective equipment, before sending a lot of the national supply to China in mid February:

Not exactly a guy who is in a position to criticize others.

Maybe he was trying to nip the outbreak straight from the source before it spread further into Canada

Anyways the message here is that countries need to stop buying essential items from the US, and instead buy them from countries that aren't run by self-centered protectionists. That won't happen during this pandemic, but it's a good lesson for all countries to learn for the future.

The USA cannot be trusted in times of trouble.

Canadians can thank their own government for shipping medical supplies to China only a few short weeks ago.

When did Canada decide that it would be a good idea to turn over the manufacture of needed medical supplies, and drugs, should be made in China?
