CT scan reveal damage to Trump lung, 100 percent truth

Comments by Trump's doctor on symptoms, care spark confusion

Of all the negatives long linked with Trump and his administration, arguably the worst of them all is they've been so deceitful. 'Confusion' and 'chaos': hallmarks of the Trump era. The US continues to suffer: Xi, Putin and Erdogan smile.

She added, “This is a glaring reminder that the virus is real.”

And yet pandemic deniers, eugenicists and others in Trump's base (US and 'foreign') continue to downplay the virus.

12 ( +21 / -9 )

Chaos as a campaign strategy. That would be a good theory if Trump’s entire administration and term weren’t marked by chaos.

11 ( +19 / -8 )

Who in their right minds would be surprised Trump's care takers would lie about his actual condition? It fits right in line with the administration.

19 ( +26 / -7 )

Confusion is what happens when someone is lying, at least in this white house. And since nobody does anything that Trump doesn't approve or start, we know who caused the confusion.

9 ( +17 / -8 )

There is no confusion when he gets better in the end. He is still campaigning more than Biden.

-22 ( +10 / -32 )

I am enjoying the faux outrage from the Leftist press over the Presidents covid diagnosis. They want him dead and demand any and all negative details in anticipation of Trumps imminent demise. When the military doctors don’t give them what they want they bad mouth them and call them liars.

PTownsend: And yet pandemic deniers, eugenicists and others in Trump's base (US and 'foreign') continue to downplay the virus.

Trump and his supporters don’t deny there is a pandemic - though I’m sure the press is more than capable of finding a few loons to re-enforce their narrative. I am amused at the eugenics comment. Conservatives have never believed in it. Eugenics arose from Progressives belief in “science” and was later embraced by the German National Socialist party in support of their racial purity theory. Progressives embraced abortion as a way to further their ideas about eugenics which led to the founding of Planned Parenthood.

-16 ( +10 / -26 )

The lying is just so normal within Trump's team, that they can't even muster up any credibility with what the chief doctor said.He basically lied,to then have the Chief of Staff present a more serious picture. Embarrassing, but not a surprise.

5 ( +13 / -8 )

these headlines are so telling. Every one in the past few days has included some sort of "trump camp sewing confusion" bit to enrage the already enraged.

Doctors at Walter Reed just a short while ago said the President can return to the White House as early as tomorrow. The disappointment that the alternative looks unlikely is palpable

-12 ( +7 / -19 )

There is no confusion when he gets better in the end.

What are your thoughts about the present, which is chaos?

He is still campaigning more than Biden.

Sure he is, and he looks great.

9 ( +13 / -4 )

Conservatives have never believed in it.

Really? If that's the case, then why do we have these following nuggets of wisdom from the mouth of Donald J. Trump himself?

"You have good genes, you know that, right? You have good genes. A lot of it is about the genes, isn't it, don't you believe? The racehorse theory. You think we're so different? You have good genes in Minnesota."

September 2020

> "I have Ivy League education, smart guy, good genes. I have great genes and all that stuff, which I'm a believer in," Trump told a crowd in Mississippi in 2016.

"Well, I think I was born with a drive for success," he told CNN in 2010. "I'm a gene believer. Hey, when you connect two racehorses, you usually end up with a fast horse. And I really was -- you know, I had a -- a good gene pool from the standpoint of that."

"You have to be born lucky in the sense that you have to have the right genes," Trump told Oprah Winfrey in 1988.

So yes, 'conservatives,' at least as defined by the party of DJT, are firm believers in eugenics and racial genetic theories. Your own President has comments going back 32 years proclaiming so.

(Un-) wise words from an old man:

“I learned it by really going to school,” he said. “This is the real school, this isn’t the ‘let’s read the books’ school. And I get it and I understand it. And it’s a very interesting thing.”

What's interesting about it?

What school did he go to?

Talking like a 5 year-old. Maybe that virus has caused some more damage?

10 ( +18 / -8 )

Obfuscation and lying about the health of a people's "Dear Leader" is "statecraft(iness) 101" practiced by all governments since time immemorial and, not forgetting the previous dubious statements about Trump's physical condition issued by his doctors in the past, with Trump you can dial that to eleven which naturally feeds all kinds of conspiracy theories. Whatever the truth, we can now be sure there will be no second act for this Potus.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

He's contagious and putting his security detail at risk to do a photo up for his cult. It's surreal and pathetic.

"I've learned a lot." Perhaps if you'd read your briefing books.

72% of the public thinks he needlessly risked public health. He's going to lose BIG. This move reflects his desperation.

7 ( +15 / -8 )

Back to the Whitehouse tomorrow, bunker down and get the thumbs going again.

Both sides need him in good health.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

I also think we’re going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street

Visiting the homeless?

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Not a Trump fan but seems to me a lot of the " confusion" comes from media not liking what they are told & trying stirring the pot to sell news ( which is their job of course but still ) . No matter what one thinks of Trump as POTUS, as another human being I wish him a speedy recovery.

1 ( +9 / -8 )

"It affects virtually nobody."

except for the 210k would that died in your watch.

8 ( +16 / -8 )

All this deception is necessary from an international standpoint. We have to send the message to our enemies that the president is strong, healthy, and in full command of his faculties. Oh, well, ummm... or something like that...

7 ( +11 / -4 )

"It was the second straight day of obfuscation from a White House already suffering from a credibility crisis."

Not only does the white house have a credibility crisis but the entire country's health care establishment.

-1 ( +9 / -10 )

The whole thing is looking more and more like a clever campaign strategy.

Good grief. SMH.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Whether he is faking good health or faking bad health, POTUS has just given America the giant middle finger with his joy ride around the neighborhood surrounding Walter Reed. All at the taxpayer's expense, and at great risk to the Secret Service security detail assigned to him for this outrageous political stunt.

13 ( +20 / -7 )

Given that he interacted one-on-one and maskless with each of the others who have tested positive, it's clear that it was their health, not his, the he was risking. But if you're Trump, and see other people as objects, that's all in the game.

“I had no choice,” he said, “because I just didn’t want to stay in the White House. I was given that alternative. Stay in the White House. Lock yourself in. Don’t ever leave. Don’t even go to the Oval Office. Just stay upstairs and enjoy it. Don’t see people.. But I took action. I infected my wife, and possibly our son. I infected my staff. I infected several GOP Senators. Hell, I may have reinfected my supreme court nominee. No other president has ever done anything like this. Not. Ever.”

5 ( +11 / -6 )

I heard that Trump’s doctors are cautiously optimistic, and that they are hoping for the best possible outcome.

Me too.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

This is called propaganda.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

The idiot box is discussing Trump's health. 190cms, 110kgs and BMI of 30.5. Lies or what?

Sadly Trump equates sickness with being weak - weak as in "you're a weak person" - and hates the optics of that. He always derides others he perceives as weak, whether mentally or physically.

So now he finds himself in this vulnerable situation he just-can't-stand-it. So the show continues creating confusion, and anguish among many - esp those close to him concerned about his health.

This little quote from US today sums it up -

"A man with a dangerous and highly contagious disease, who is being treated for that disease with powerful drugs, wanted to be taken for a ride in a car so he could wave to gawking cult followers,"

13 ( +16 / -3 )

"Trump said in the video that he had “learned a lot” about the virus getting it himself.

“I learned it by really going to school,” he said. “This is the real school, this isn’t the ‘let’s read the books’ school. And I get it and I understand it. And it’s a very interesting thing.”"

But wait, there shouldn't be much to learn. I thought this "Chinese-made Democratic hoax" that would drop from 15 Americans infected to 0 "very soon", like 6 months ago. heavy /s

10 ( +13 / -3 )

The ride in the vehicle was horribly irresponsible and selfish. His vehicle is armored and hermetically sealed in the event of a chemical or biological attack. This puts whoever is inside the vehicle with him at an extremely high risk. This is horrible judgment and adds another reason I do not see him as fit to be the President.

I will give the President credit for one thing; I watched his address from behind the desk. He gave a very good speech, presented himself really well and actually sounded like a President. If he would have acted the way he did during that 4 1/2 minute address he gave the U.S. would look alot different right now. He really spoke well.....and then undid it all by taking the ride in the limo.

Casting aside my feelings for him as a President I do wish him and the First Lady a successful recovery.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Trump went for a drive, and it was OK.

NEW: Doctors okayed POTUS drive-by supporters. Deputy Press Secretary tells @markknoller “Appropriate precautions were taken in the execution of this movement to protect POTUS + all those supporting it, including PPE...cleared by the medical team as safe to do.” @CBSNews

Didn’t want to give any information that might steer the course of illness in another direction," Conley said.

Information doesn't steer the course of an illness in any direction, good or bad. Treatment is what does that. What are you, a doctor or a faith healer?

“And in doing so, came off like we’re trying to hide something, which wasn’t necessarily true.

By not giving information you were trying to hide something, so it is necessarily true.

He’s on an emergency use exemption drug, a compassionate use drug and a steroid that is reserved for the most serious cases.

He’s needed supplemental oxygen twice. He likely has pneumonia given the steroids. Oh, and the steroids can cause reduced critical thinking (to the extent it existed before).

But sure, get into a hermetically sealed vehicle with your security detail while your still infectious so you can wave to your cult.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

The current occupant of the White House was bound to be infected with COVID-19 sooner or later due to the way he has frequently appeared in public without a mask and the common sense distancing recommended members of the medical and scientific community.

While the patient is infected and being treated at Walter Reed Medical Center, the White House medical team has spread disinformation and misinformation for political reasons.

The outing near the medical center is a politically calculated move which confirms my assessment from the beginning of the pandemic: “Damn the torpedoes, full speed with the reelection campaign.”

Many of us know the meaning and tragic results of: “And we’ll what happens.”

We The People of the United States of America deserve better.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

When Trump says that he has learned a lot, I’m getting very hopeful that he learned things like empathy, compassion. This has put him right in the shoes of people who suffered from this disease. Would he become a nicer man, more humane after that? That is yet to be seen.

Unfortunately for her she is too stupid to realize that once something like that gets out it cannot be put back into the bottle.

Unfortunately the Trump presidency can't be put back into the bottle either. He has said far worse things on a daily basis.Keep it real. No-one is more stupid than him.Mocking Biden in the debate for wearing a mask and then look what happened to him. Has to stage a car ride, but now wearing a mask. GYAFB.

“Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theatre. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theatre. This is insanity,” Dr. James P Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed, tweeted.

Yup

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Aren't you happy that you are not forced to drive and ride around in a car with such a sick and selfish man like Trump? It just confirms once again that Trump doesn't give a damn about anybody but himself.

No, there was a small band of QAnon types "supporting" Trump near the White House. That's what he's referring to.

This cartoon succinctly captures the situation:

Trump did not get sick because public health measures are so hard; he did not get sick despite “the most severe of lockdowns”; he got sick because he arrogantly refused even the simplest of precautions. The virus is formidable, not omnipotent.

The politics underlying this dishonesty aren’t complicated. The Trump administration has overseen one of the world’s least successful responses to the novel coronavirus. More people have died here than in any other country. Infection rates remain stubbornly high. This is bad for our health — and for our economy.

Admit even one fault — yes, the first family should have worn masks at the debate — and you risk exposing the whole, great failure. Better to stick to the campaign strategy: Never admit a mistake and, against all evidence, and make Biden seem scary.

His irresponsibility in the past days, as in the past weeks and months, is beyond dispute:

On Sept. 26, at the White House event introducing Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, scores of guests sat cheek by jowl and, mostly, maskless. Some of them actually took off their masks when they went inside for a reception, turning public health common sense on its head. On Tuesday, at the debate in Cleveland, Trump’s entourage made a great show of flouting Cleveland Clinic rules, going so far as to rebuff a clinic staffer who offered them face coverings. At that same debate, Trump mocked Democratic nominee Joe Biden for wearing a mask as faithfully as he does. And then, even after learning that he had been exposed to the illness, Trump traveled to a fundraiser in New Jersey where he met, maskless as usual, with supporters at close range. Now that so many people who attended those events are falling ill, the humane response would be, first, to apologize for having put people at risk — particularly people who have no choice about the danger being imposed on them, such as security officers and servers.

Trump’s illness becomes a teachable moment in exactly the wrong way.

Wearing a mask should not be a political statement. It can save lives. We can hope that most Trump supporters will consider those facts, not the latest spin. We can hope they connect the dots of White House carelessness and White House illness and resolve to protect themselves and their loved ones.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/only-the-trump-team-could-spin-this-into-even-riskier-messaging-about-the-virus/2020/10/04/30415bf4-0655-11eb-859b-f9c27abe638d_story.html

"it is the opinion of a single person"

Experts, not a political hack. Also, I wasn’t claiming that the entire medical establishment said something and then provided a single opinion as evidence of that claim.

Jonathan Reiner, professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University school of medicine and health services, said in a tweet: “By taking a joy ride outside Walter Reed the president is placing his Secret Service detail at grave risk.”

I'm glad to read he's improving and recovering. For his age, he has a robust health.

When Trump disclosed his condition, I've read nothing but good things from the left , i.e., "Trump got infected and tested positive. Good."

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

so now there are 3 people who have an opinion. None of whom are Trumps doctor, nor have they examined or treated him.

-10 ( +6 / -16 )

It's like disinformation is a requirement for anyone that works with Trump.

6 ( +13 / -7 )

@ReturningGrace: You pose an interesting question; how did he become infected? Everyone who is to be in close contact with the President must be tested. This protocol has been ongoing for some time now.

I do not hate Trump I just think he is not fit for office. I believe he has been too cavalier about the virus and his lackluster attitude also trickled down to his staff, etc. The tests are not 100% accurate so it is possible someone near him got the virus and passed it along to him.

They say days 5 through 7 of the infection usually dictate what the outcome will be so we will know soon where this will go.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

so now there are 3 people who have an opinion. None of whom are Trumps doctor, nor have they examined or treated him. [sic]

Another doctor that speaks as though he's been bribed, compromised or being very shifty and evasive. Anyone or anything that comes into contact with this man-child becomes complicit. Trump is like the kiss of death (to anyone's career and credibility). You could say that Trump IS the virus.

A LITTLE overweight? The fittest? Live to 200?

This a-hole has no regards for his secret agents or bodyguards, and his latest Kim Jung Un style parade outside the medical center just proves it. That car must be like a petri-dish inside. It seems he wants to drag everyone else to hell with him. He's determined not to go alone. By all means - take your own crowd with you - they don't seem to mind.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Donald can have his aides wheel him and out put him in his SUV, and he can feebly wave to his handful of supporters, but it's all over....

He held a super-spreader event, violating all the protocols of his own CDC, and to date 14 people have been infected...

He can't even hold a small event and protect those he invited - let alone the American public. This preventable disaster shows why we lead the world in deaths and over 205K Americans are no longer with us.

The key issue for the campaign has been - and now most certainly will be the pandemic response - Trump just gave the American public a very clear and compelling example of his utter incompetence and failure...

Biden will win in a landslide - if he was smart, Trump should now be focusing on his upcoming indictments for bank/tax fraud and the illegal Stormy payoff...

Is this meant to demonstrate lack of professionalism or credibility? It doesn’t, at least not to rational adults.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

From personal experience, it's not that easy to be infected with the virus, not by being around with an infected person without mask. I like to know how the team got infected.

By attending a super spreader event in the Rose garden with no social distancing, few masks and a lot of hugging and shaking hands. Where have you been for the past few days?!

4 ( +9 / -5 )

The US guys at the office say this is probably fake news. Trump is not really sick, but is using this bit of acting to distract from his dismal debate performance and his tax scandal. Based on everything, I have to admit it is possible.

"Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential 'drive-by' just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. "That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding. My thoughts are with the Secret Service forced to play," Phillips tweeted.

This is from a doctor at Walter Reed. It seems Trump has learned nothing and even while in hospital threatens the lives of those around him, all for his own ego! Unbelievable!

Liberals? I think you mean Trump's QAnon supporters...

*After Trump's announcement confirming his positive test, believers in QAnon, which the FBI has deemed a domestic terror threat, sought to decode the wording of his tweet as a sign that the president was poised to arrest former Democratic presidential nominee and Trump rival Hillary Clinton. They suggested, without evidence, that Trump actually doesn't have the virus at all but was sending a message that he's about to go on a mission to root out the evil cabal.*

"Disinformation" became the democrat party's words-to-live-by when they began their "resist" campaign many years ago.

Hmmmmm - disinformation. I seem to remember just a few years ago when someone was saying President Obama wasn't "legitimate" and was born in Kenya? Then he had to humiliatingly concede it wasn't true...

Face the facts - Trump is done - it's all over. He gave the most obvious and glaring example to the American people that he is an incompetent bumbler - he held a super-spreader event that infected himself, his wife, and 12 others.

Time to move on - and pick your next cult leader. Might want to look at Nikki Haley - she has been auditioning for the past several years...

... Some experts raised an additional possibility: that the president is directing his own care, and demanding intense treatment despite risks he may not fully understand. The pattern even has a name: V.I.P. syndrome, which describes prominent figures who receive poor medical care because doctors are too zealous in treating them — or defer too readily to their instructions.

“You think you’re helping,” said Dr. Céline Gounder, a clinical assistant professor of medicine and infectious diseases at the N.Y.U. Grossman School of Medicine. “But this is really a data-free zone, and you just don’t know that.”

Still, based on the doctors’ account, Mr. Trump’s symptoms appear to have rapidly progressed since he announced early Friday morning that he had tested positive for the coronavirus.

He doesn't view people as people - he sees them as animate objects to be manipulated for personal gain.

Would that be "some experts" who have absolutely NO inside information, but are more than willing to rabidly speculate as to what they think the CNN-type "news" organizations want to hear. Doing so would go a long way towards granting these "some experts" a few minutes of airtime.

they are retweeting each other on twitter and everything to get the narrative out.

This isn’t actually evidence of a conspiracy.

then your headline is about the confusion.....that CNN is spreading?

Unlike you, I don’t work for JT, so it isn’t “my headline.” CNN isn’t spreading through confusion, Trump’s team is; CNN is simply reporting it.

Wow. How can this be justified? How?

Trump drew immediate rebuke from doctors on Sunday afternoon for an “insane” surprise drive-by visit to supporters outside the Walter Reed military medical center, where the president is being treated for an infection of Covid-19. “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die,” he wrote in a tweet. “For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity.”

That's from James Phillips, a doctor of emergency medicine at George Washington University, who is an attending physician at Walter Reed.

who is his Commander in Chief again?

and as Farmboy said above, “We” aren’t the only audience here.

to the best of my knowledge, there is no law stating that military physicians are required to make honest public statements regarding the health of the CnC.

aka, if Prez Trump said “hey doc, sugarcoat this” that is a lawful order. If the Pentagon, for entirely different reasons, said “obfuscate” that is also a lawful order.

no reason at all to take their word over CNN guests who put their professional credibility on the line if they engage in political hackery.

Well, as a Trump supporter, I really don't care about all this hullabaloo about doctors and experts - we Trump supporters only trust one doctor - Dr Immanuel...

She knows what she's talking about - Alien DNA-infused medicine, demons in dreams, reptiles in our government - that doctor is smart...

If she says Trump is sick, then I believe it - and I'm sure she would provide an effective treatment - staying at least a mile away from any 5G network towers...

CNN is creating it. by having all 4 of your supposed "experts" constantly on TV spreading contrary messaging.

They aren’t “my experts,” they are societies experts as defined by the regulatory bodies that granted them their medical licenses.

CNN is having these experts on because they aren’t beholden to Trump, so they have no reason to lie, unlike Trump’s doctors. Additionally, these four experts are responding to Trump’s people’s inconsistent messaging.

Create confusion, then report that there is confusion. nice racket.

Responding to the confusion that the Trump people are creating is not creating confusion, it is alleviating it.

No matter how loudly you scream, you cannot change the facts that it’s Trump’s team creating the confusion.

the actual facts are that President Trump is doing well enough to take a car ride to thank his supporters and that he is expected to be released from the hospital on Monday. the facts from his actual doctors.

Anything else is liberal activist doctors trying to get that 15 mins of CNN fame.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Trump once dictated his fantastic "bill of health" to his personal doctor, Ronnie Jackson, and again this time medical experts have expressed doubts and puzzlement about the vague statement devoid of crucial details on Trump's condition issued by his ten-man team of Walter Reed doctors. Distrust is rife after 4 years of gaslighting which has not made America great but sick, and now the patently reckless behavior of the Republican covidiots cavorting in the WH Rose Garden has confirmed our worst suspicions about their irresponsibility and disregard for the health and welfare of the American people.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

There is a tweet for everything.

CNN:

Not worried about #COVID19 during mass protests and riots.

Very worried about #COVID19 when the President rides in a car.

It’s called an observation. If I were asserting that it meant anything, it might be trying to create confusion.

Incorrect. You people’s standard is so transparent: If it is pro-trump, it’s beyond reproach; if it’s not pro-trump, it’s “liberal activists.” This isn’t how rational adults view the world.

it became necessary due to all the liberal media false narratives and confusion that claim he is near death or something. So we all saw him, and can prove that isnt the case.

By tomorrow you will be claiming he just did it to make the stock market go back up. Because the stock market is part of the economy, but only when you want to attack because it went down. Goes up. nothing to do with the economy at all.

Regardless, everyone saw Trump thanks to CNN and know he is doing well.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

have you forgotten what Chris Cuomo and George Stephanopolous did when they had the corona and were under quarantine? were they not contagious?

And they were selfish morons for doing it. Your “logic” here is that if liberals did something repugnant, it means Trump doing the same thing is not repugnant. Smooth.

Any cites to this alleged “liberal media narrative”? Remember a single tweet from a single person is not the media.

Furthermore, if Trump’s team had been forthright, there wouldn’t have been any confusion.

By tomorrow you will be claiming he just did it to make the stock market go back up. Because the stock market is part of the economy, but only when you want to attack because it went down. Goes up. nothing to do with the economy at all.

@David Varnes: You have good genes,

Stating that someone has “good” genes and implementing government programs of forced sterilization and abortion are not synonymous. Trump isn’t calling for that. The Progressive eugenicists believed that through science they could determine criminality. The founder of Planned Parenthood wanted to eliminate blacks by encouraging black women to have abortions. To this day, Planned Parenthood earns more money from snorting black babies than any other demographic group. The majority of pregnant black women in New York end up getting abortions. That’s eugenics and Conservatives don’t support that.

The man in the mask's gratuitous joyride photo op is a reminder of the ride he's taken us all on for the last four years. I feel sorry for his poor chauffeur.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

"I learned by being good at school"

Well, we know that's a lie, and so also know he hasn't truly learned. For example, putting people in the car in jeopardy for a stunt -- hasn't learned.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

But many famous liberal people on Twitter are now changing to say the whole Trump has COVID thing is fake. Doctored photos and videos, it wasnt him in the car, etc.

I guess you don't read up before you post...

After Trump's announcement confirming his positive test, believers in QAnon, which the FBI has deemed a domestic terror threat, sought to decode the wording of his tweet as a sign that the president was poised to arrest former Democratic presidential nominee and Trump rival Hillary Clinton. They suggested, without evidence, that Trump actually doesn't have the virus at all but was sending a message that he's about to go on a mission to root out the evil cabal.

Thats how bad it is for your team, you just cant comprehend or accept that he is recovering well. You might want to check out your spokespeople on the Twitter for the latest narrative.

Who's team is QAnon on?

4 ( +7 / -3 )

But many famous liberal people on Twitter are now changing to say the whole Trump has COVID thing is fake. Doctored photos and videos, it wasnt him in the car, etc.

Yes, it just goes to show how, like the virus, conspiracy theories spread fast and don't discriminate who they infect.

Thats how bad it is for your team, you just cant comprehend or accept that he is recovering well. You might want to check out your spokespeople on the Twitter for the latest narrative.

Can't speak for others but, I don't have a "team", and I follow many news outlets (including Twitter occasionally) to discern what's happening.

Besides, don't Trump loyalists hang on his every tweet? Bit disingenuous to rubbish the platform, in that case...

3 ( +5 / -2 )

The whole thing is looking more and more like a clever campaign strategy. It's gonna work.

oh so you think its just a con now? A con by Trump to fake his infection!? A virus that has killed over 200000 Americans and the POTUS is making a mockery of it!? It's good to see that President Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump are doung well.

This is a very kind and positive gesture from President Trump. He knows very well that there are literally millions of people who love him and he just wanted to show his appreciation.

Additionally, he had one of his staff go outside and deliver a message of appreciation and some Hershey's chocolate Kisses to the well-wishers who were standing outside the hospital the other day.

It's all positive and the people know..

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

He's upset. Some Republicans are very unwell today.

I just feel happy that he’ll be out of the hospital soon and can pick up where he left off.

This is a lot of positivity. Good vibes. People coming together and being supportive.

President Donald Trump supporters have held vigil outside of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, ever since he was transported there on Friday after testing positive for the coronavirus. The “get well” rally continues on Sunday — including a surprise visit by the president.Trump and a small motorcade drove slowly by his supporters. Video posted on social media show Trump waving from inside one of the vehicles.Supporters have been gathering day and night at Gate 2 on Wisconsin Avenue holding signs and Trump and American flags, and interacting with motorists passing the medical center.

Let's list the ironies....

Trump gets the virus and is so sick he has to be hospitalized - when he has said in public it's "the flu", "hardly anyone gets it", and "it will magically disappear"...

He tried to use the SCOTUS ceremony to divert the public's attention from his failures on the virus - and that ceremony turns into a super-spreader event that infects him, his wife, and 12 (to date) others...and ensures the virus is the No. 1 topic for voters...

He is being treated in a military hospital by military doctors - when he called our military members and wounded warriors "Losers and Suckers"...

He gets the best health care in the world all at the taxpayers expense - when he paid zero tax or at most $750 over 10 years...and wants to take away everyone else's health care coverage...

It's done - the Presidential campaign is over - it's just a matter of how big Biden's landslide will be...

It's certainly very odd they would just let him go for joyride regardless of precautions taken.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

And after the huge super-spreader disaster at the Rose Garden - the Trump White House gives Americans even more evidence that they still don't take the virus seriously and continue violate their own CDC's health safety protocols...

After Hope Hicks tests positive, Trump ignores that and STILL goes to a fundraiser at Bedminster exposing all those there to the virus...

VP Pence, who from a continuity of government perspective should be isolating and ensuring he isn't infected is STILL doing campaigning and putting himself at risk...

The Trump family members, who should all be in a 14 day quarantine are STILL going out and conducting campaign events potentially infecting Trump's supporters...

They continue to give American voters clear examples of their incompetence and bumbling...

It's as if they are trying to lose the election - while infecting as many of Trump's supporters as they can...

Sound like a cult?

Trump departed the hospital in an armored SUV and remained in the vehicle as he drove past a flag-waving and cheering crowd outside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Another proof that the Commander in Chief of the armed forces has no respect for them, he uses them as instruments to further his personal objectives.

There have already been reports of the secret service staff being unhappy with the risk their commander is putting them in, but this takes the cake.

You must have a very, very vivid (overactive?) imagination. I have never supported defunding the police (whatever that means) or assaults on anyone.

From my perspective, those yelling themselves silly at their maskless rallies, those rioting in the streets and vandalising local property, and the trigger-happy cops and vigilantes are all equally senseless.

Also those who get the heebie-jeebies at the mere thought of decent, affordable healthcare for all yet see nothing wrong in taxpayer money being thrown away on totally unnecessary golfing trips and joyrides.

“Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days,” tweeted James P. This is insanity.”

Phillips said the risk of viral transmission inside the car is “as high as it gets outside of medical procedures.” Jonathan Reiner, a professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, noted that people inside a hospital wear extensive protective gear — gowns, gloves, N95 masks and more — when they will be in close contact with a coronavirus patient such as Trump.

“By taking a joy ride outside Walter Reed the president is placing his Secret Service detail at grave risk,” he tweeted.
