Arm everyone, the 2nd amendment does not preclude toddlers. Remember you are only safe if you have a gun.

Remember you are only safe if you have a gun.

And a rocket launcher. Statistics show that your risk of being shot significantly increases when you own a firearm. But if you have a rocket launcher, no one can mess with you. Personal rocket launchers for all!!

Someone gave me a downvote? Who is the constitution hater?

Why are they baffled? Don’t they know who Fake45 is?

Could be a big chance for Trump to clear up his image for posterity.

Are in for a real tweet at last?

Are we...? (Sorry!)

Personally, I just carry my lightsaber. Blasters are such... inelegant weapons.

The US guys at the office say that after the high school shooting, Ivanka cried, so Trump changed his tune on guns.

Sanders said Trump had not signed on to a more sweeping background check bill that would require the review of firearm purchases online and at gun shows.

Of course not. Gotta keep those background checks optional.

Would love to visit the USA but as I would require a bullet proof vest and a handgun, maybe Canada is a better option.

Has there ever been a time that a President of these United States has had their spokesman repeatedly tell the public that what the President says should not be taken seriously? Ever?

Someone should tell SHS that the system can't work if we can't believe anything the president says.

Those back ground checking never helps! Most insane gunman were not known by people even relatives has no idea about them ! The Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock's brother knows nothing about him! And he has no criminal record,a very wealthy man and made no threats at all. Yet he stored a ton of firearms and ammo in the hotel room without discovered by the hotel! Bu the way Trump will shift his stance and change of course if the NRA exerting real pressure over him !

Sorry Zichi they are not shiney toys but a physical extension of a warped deranged sense of self worth. I have an assault rifle I have worth, assault worth. Would like to mock these people more but they have guns. And dialogue is answered with a spray of bullets...they kind of win.

its not a shifting stance. just because he is republican does not mean he has to be pro gun. I am republican but I am against guns. media people do not like when politicians do not fit in their preconceived boxes

The title should or could easily be, 'Trump's shifting stance on everything leaves all normal humans baffled.'

It's good to see somehow President Trump is trying to tackle the criminals and mentally sick persons from getting guns and assault automatic Riffle. It makes sense to me. Gun dealers must be prosecuted if they have sold the gun to someone who has mental illness and a criminal record without checking the buyer background.

In Australia, the gun buyer need to wait about two weeks for to clearance from authority and also, the gun buyer needs to certify and sign from GP and local Justice and Peace officer. The Police will check, criminal background with their record. Also the Gun License needs to renew every three years and also, must belong to registered Shooter Club as well.

The US needs tougher gun controls and no previous the US Presidents have not done, they should have done in the past. Every gun owners need to background criminal check. I don't think the President Trump proposal for tougher gun control is banning everyone from owning assault rifles. The peoples who have no criminal history and has a clean character record can buy and own assault rifle and gun.

Australia has reduced to almost zero percent of mass shooting since banned assault rifle and tougher criminal background and mental illness check for gun owners. It will not be easy for the US to copy Australia style tougher gun control in the US.

However, it's a good initiative by the President Trump. I hope the US will gradually reduce powerful automatic assault weapon crime in the US.to me. Gun dealers must be prosecuted if they have sold gun to someone who has mental illness and criminal record without checking the buyer background.

Trump and the Republicans continue to be complete DO-NOTHINGS. Going to Mar-a-Lago as often as possible is the only thing on Trump's feeble mind.

Why are they baffled? Trump has been a yo-yo with a conservative slant from day one.

President Trump tells the NRA he don't need them and its time for tougher gun laws. Where are all those gun support commenters? Gone to practice at the range before they loss their shiny deadly toys?

So what do you want?

So what do you want?

To know how the Trump cheerleaders that are also gun nutters square Trump's stance.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Just goes to show that the NRA is the enemy of the American people.
