Trump's at this rally trying to appeal once again to US fundamentalists (roughly 35% of US population) because his political handlers know cracks are appearing in his evangelical base, some of whom calling his actions IMMORAL:

political investigations that would benefit the president's reelection – is not only a violation of the Constitution but, "more importantly, it is profoundly immoral." https://www.usnews.com/news/elections/articles/2019-12-20/a-crack-in-trumps-evangelical-base

But those in his base who say TRUMP'S IMMORAL are probably a minority. After all, hard core Cult45ists see him as their messiah.

Conservatives love big government when it is handing out subsidies to farms and telling a woman what to do with her body.

I don't see many people I call 'conservative' backing Trump. I think instead they're far right authoritarianists, people who want big brother to take control, especially take control over the demons (aka those not in their demographic) they fear.

Donny, like all men, have never faced the choice of what to do. Most of the time in this debate, us men should keep our mouths shut.

I don't see many people I call 'conservative' backing Trump.

Agreed. I was referring to those that claim to be conservative, not republican, but are clearly not conservative.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Anti abortion laws only effect poor women who can't afford to travel to a place to have one.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

It was just four years ago when a political committee supporting one of Trump's Republican rivals unveiled an ad slamming his views on abortion, complete with footage from a 1999 interview in which he declared, “I am pro-choice in every respect."

Way to go anti-Trump reporter. But guess what? I saw the video too. And Trump clearly said that he "cringes" at the thought of abortion and that he thinks it is wrong; however, Trump supported people having a choice. So get it straight. He's never said he was in support of abortion per say, but rather that he supports people having a choice.

-12 ( +7 / -19 )

What's next? The goosestep? It's scary thinking about what these people would do if they ever get to be fully in charge of people's lives.

1 ( +10 / -9 )

Most of the time in this debate, us men should keep our mouths shut.

Garbage! Ok, Like Chappell said: if she decides to keep it, I can choose not to abandon it. Her choice, my money. Not that I believe that, but it exposes how messed up your argument is.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

yTrump is not Anti Abortion, he is Pro choice! Big difference

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

So get it straight. He's never said he was in support of abortion per say, but rather that he supports people having a choice.

Nobody is in support of abortion, per se, but rather support a woman’s choice.

You people that want to control a woman always make it sound as if pro-choice people are handing out abortion stamp cards. Buy 10, the 11th is free. Ridiculous.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

Garbage!

Okay. Thanks for the rebuttal.

Ok, Like Chappell said: if she decides to keep it, I can choose not to abandon it.

What?

“Unborn children have never had a stronger defender in the White House.”

...if you can believe the “I am pro-choice in every respect" moralizer, but it's the "born" children (into poverty) who need protecting from the dubious "defender in the White House".

And you don't have be a cynic to ask yourself the question that arises naturally, given what we know of the orange womanizer's notorious baggage of numerous transactions with the opposite sex: how many abortions has he personally paid for in his murky, mucky past?

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Trump's at this rally trying to appeal once again to US fundamentalists (roughly 35% of US population) because his political handlers know cracks are appearing in his evangelical base, some of whom calling his actions IMMORAL:

The latest annual, nationwide Marist/Knights of Columbus poll shows most Americans, 70 percent, desire significant restrictions on abortion, such as limiting it to the first trimester, permitting it only in cases of rape or incest or to save the mother’s life, or prohibiting abortion altogether. In fact, even 47 percent of people who identify as “pro-choice” want some form of these restrictions.

https://thefederalist.com/2020/01/22/nearly-50-years-after-roe-65-of-americans-want-a-candidate-who-supports-significant-abortion-restrictions/

But those in his base who say TRUMP'S IMMORAL are probably a minority. After all, hard core Cult45ists see him as their messiah.

Not at all, but we do see him as the first Republican President that won’t turn the other cheek and take attacks from liberals in the way the last 3 previous Presidents have done which is refreshing.

I don't see many people I call 'conservative' backing Trump. I think instead they're far right authoritarianists, people who want big brother to take control, especially take control over the demons (aka those not in their demographic) they fear.

No one said there aren’t conservatives that don’t like Trump, there are, but overall they support him. That’s why he’s polling so high with them. I see quite a few liberals that are warming up to Trump seeing what Democrats are doing to this country.

What?

I meant to say abandon in the affirmative. But the argument that men have no right to say anything is utterly bogus. It's not about controlling women. It's about the fact that every baby has two parents.

"Republicans are always going on about how they're going to get big government off our backs, but they don't mind government being in a woman's uterus."

Time to buy the votes. Tax breaks will be next, no doubt.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Tax breaks will be next, no doubt.

Big church like all the other US and global bigs operating in the US already have big tax breaks. Trump and his fellow bigs, i.e. the elite (so called) establishment, have enacted policies where the working and middle class taxpayers pay higher taxes so the bigs can continue being subsidized (aka welfare/socialism for the rich and powerful).

4 ( +8 / -4 )

the working and middle class taxpayers pay higher taxes so the bigs can continue being subsidized (aka welfare/socialism for the rich and powerful).

No imagine how much the middle class will be paying you have a Democrat socialist in office, omg.....all these richest liberal 1% elites will be become richer.

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

How many abortion has Trump paid for personally, probably many

5 ( +10 / -5 )

If Trump and everyone else is against abortion, they shouldn't have one.

I'd love to see a real 'march for life' that stood for providing children with adequate nutrition, medical care and an education. This crowd cheers when a child is born and then turns their backs on them - "not my problem."

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Trump panders to the religious right for support to his waning re-election bid.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Hypocrisy and republican pseudo-christianity at its best expression, PATHETIC !!..

2 ( +9 / -7 )

Not in the least.

So the life of a living person is less valuable than that of an unborn fetus!!!

Straight up false equivalency fueled by hysteria.

I hope double standards gets rewarded in nutter land!!!

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Good for him.

I applaud President Trump for speaking up in defense of the right to life of unborn babies -- who are undeniably, as confirmed by science, human beings.

And to anyone who thinks otherwise, apparently you must think that pregnant women have two sets of DNA (the baby's exists from conception), two hearts, two sets of chromosomes, two hearts, two brains, two pairs of arms and legs, and approximately half the time, a penis.

Yes, you have a right to control your own body. But that does not extend to the "right" to kill someone else's body -- which an unborn baby's body undeniably is.

It's high time to set aside the ideology and shrill angry emotion of the pro-abortion crowd. It's time to get with logic and science. Unborn babies are human beings -- fact. And killing human beings is murder.

Again, I laud Mr. Trump for defending, by his words as well as his actions, the weakest and most vulnerable human beings there are -- unborn children.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

I don't see many people I call 'conservative' backing Trump

I don't see anyone I call conservative backing any of the Dems.

Conservatives love big government when it is handing out subsidies to farms and telling a woman what to do with her body*

So it's OK for a woman to snuff out the life growing inside her? You sure?

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Who was that republican who was so anti-abortion, but then sneakily asked his pregnant mistress to have an abortion?

As they say, if you against abortion, then don't have one.

I often find that it's the people with the 'holier than thou' who have the worst skeletons in the closet. Kinda like those really anti-gay Republicans who get caught with their pants down! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Ha ha ha!

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Again, I laud Mr. Trump for defending, by his words as well as his actions, the weakest and most vulnerable human beings there are -- unborn children.

So true.... And when they get to be two-years old, trying to flee death and starvation in their home countries, we'll lock them up in cages at the border...

1 ( +5 / -4 )

I applaud President Trump for speaking up in defense of the right to life of unborn babies -- who are undeniably, as confirmed by science, human beings.

If you could just point us to the science that clearly defines the terms "human being" and "unborn baby", then you might have taken the first step towards providing evidence of its supposed undeniability. "Human being" isn't a scientific designation, and when it is used in scientific or academic contexts without definition (though the noun "human" is far more likely), it is likely to be in the wholly uncontroversial and not-up-for-discussion context of people who have been born: in other words, outside and irrelevant to the realm of your moral/religious/ethical quibbles.

To show that science confirms a woman who is, say, two weeks overdue is carrying an "unborn baby" is a task that will be beyond you. Scientific methods can show whether she is pregnant or not, and the actual lines of pregnancy and non-pregnancy are pretty clearly defined. So are fetus and embryo. I'm calling crap on the claim that science applies the term unborn baby to any pregnancy that shows up on a pee stick.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

I meant to say abandon in the affirmative. But the argument that men have no right to say anything is utterly bogus. It's not about controlling women. It's about the fact that every baby has two parents.

Good thing I’m not arguing that men have no right to say anything regarding an abortion that affects them.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

are undeniably, as confirmed by science, human beings.

And, as the song goes, every sperm is sacred.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Most of the time in this debate, us men should keep our mouths shut.

With half the aborted children being male, men have every right to be in the middle of this debate.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

Who was that republican who was so anti-abortion, but then sneakily asked his pregnant mistress to have an abortion?

Do you have irrefutable proof of that or did you hear that from Brian Stelter?

I often find that it's the people with the 'holier than thou' who have the worst skeletons in the closet.

You can say the same about hypocrites that support abortion rights.

Kinda like those really anti-gay Republicans who get caught with their pants down! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Ha ha ha!

I remember two of the most primate Democrats in recent memory that were totally against gay marriage or gays in the military and trying to pass themselves off to their base as woke or tolerant.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

I applaud President Trump for speaking up in defense of the right to life of unborn babies -- who are undeniably, as confirmed by science, human beings

Human beings can live without a host. Can all unborn babies live without a host? Nope, which means that until a fetus is viable, it should be considered part of the host/mother.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

So it's OK for a woman to snuff out the life growing inside her? You sure?

Yes, 100% on both accounts.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

With half the aborted children being male, men have every right to be in the middle of this debate.

Only when it involves the man personally.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Do you have irrefutable proof of that or did you hear that from Brian Stelter?

Yes, we do. It’s right along with your irrefutable evidence of the Deep State, Mueller’s bias, and every other nonsense conspiracy theory you push.

You can say the same about hypocrites that support abortion rights.

Are you claiming everyone that supports the right to privacy, which is what the right to an abortion is all about, is a hypocrite? Your writing is really unclear.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Those pro life supporters are the same ones which execute people, even innocents, bomb foreign countries deadly drone strikes.

The body is that of the mother and I support her choice.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

If Trump and everyone else is against abortion, they shouldn't have one.

Thats like saying if you are against rape don’t get raped. The Left is focused on the woman. The Right is focused on the victim of violence- yes abortion is a violent act.

It is not that i am against all abortions, just those that snuff out the life of a sentient human being. Once a baby has a heart beat and a functioning brain, abortion is no different than an execution. When Dems in Virginia and New York talk about post-birth abortions - I can’t understand why Dems are not disgusted. But their ideology is so blinding they cannot see how sick it has become.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Democrats: How dare Trump try to save God's children, he just wants votes.

Maybe you aren't religious, I guess you have nothing to worry about then?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

I applaud President Trump for speaking up in defense of the right to life of unborn babies -- who are undeniably, as confirmed by science, human beings.

But if they are aborted it means their innocent souls go to heaven, so what's the problem? I think evangelicals would approve of abortions then, right? In that case I wish I had been aborted, then I would be in heaven right now. Now I'm not sure if I would be able to go to heaven because I'm no longer innocent.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Yes, we do.

Ok, can you present it?

which is what the right to an abortion is all about, is a hypocrite?

So is the right to oppose it.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Only when it involves the man personally.

Therefore only when a woman is personally affected can they speak about abortion? I don’t see much logic in such an argument.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

People can oppose the decision of the mother but not the right to prevent it.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

People can oppose the decision of the mother but not the right to prevent it.

But it’s OK for pro-choice activists to block and prevent the opposition of pro lifers?

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Ok, can you present it?

When you present your evidence of the Deep State, Mueller’s bias, and all the other conspiracies you constantly push to excuse Donny’s incompetence.

So is the right to oppose it.

Incorrect. The right to oppose abortion is protected by free speech. Nice try though, champ.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Therefore only when a woman is personally affected can they speak about abortion? I don’t see much logic in such an argument

Nope. The ability to have an abortion affects every women that can give birth. An abortion only affects a man directly involved with a woman that is thinking about it. See the difference or do I need to get my crayons out? Perhaps if I change it into a bible-like parable you’d understand.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Evangelicals used to not care about abortion. But if they stay in power The American economy will eventually be like one big Mississippi or Alabama. In other words very stupid and poor unlike smart Connecticut. Trump evangelicals don't believe in science.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

But it’s OK for pro-choice activists to block and prevent the opposition of pro lifers?

The choice and decision must always be by the mother and no one else. I support those decisions.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Thats like saying if you are against rape don’t get raped.

False equivalency. An abortion is something a woman chooses, rape isn’t. Wow, you’re really struggling today.

The Left is focused on the woman.

The human being that wants control over their body.

The Right is focused on the victim of violence-

A fetus that is not viable outside the womb cannot be a victim.

yes abortion is a violent act.

So is a root canal.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

@bas4ffI remember two of the most primate Democrats in recent memory that were totally against gay marriage or gays in the military and trying to pass themselves off to their base as woke or tolerant.

How dare they to have had beliefs that did not fit completely into one pole or the other, for them to have strayed from a partisan extremists's sense of consistency, i.e. you're either completely in favor of all issues representing an extreme pole, or you're completely in favor of all issues in the other extreme pole.

For whatever reason partisan extremists refuse to accept that individuals can have an array of perspectives shifting over time from issue to issue. Instead they bifurcate the world and people to fit their binary beliefs. kisS after all. SMH

0 ( +1 / -1 )

But it’s OK for pro-choice activists to block and prevent the opposition of pro lifers?

Nobody is arguing it is okay to censor pro-lifers. We are arguing that we don’t want pro-lifers shoving their worldview a down our throats and forcing us to live how they think we should.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

I don’t see much logic in such an argument

I see a lot of logic in abortion since the souls of these unborn and destroyed fetuses will automatically go to heaven. Darn!! I wish I was aborted because I would be in heaven right now. Because if I die now in my adulthood I would probably go to hell now.

GO ABORTION!!!

Donny, like all men, have never faced the choice of what to do. Most of the time in this debate, us men should keep our mouths shut.

Men have every right to act and make comment on this matter, Men are the net taxpayers in society, as these procedures are subsidised by the taxpayer in some form, Men have the right in how our money is being spent.

Supporters of a man who boasted of assaulting women opposing the right of a woman to choose what she wants to do with her body as a result of that assault.

Not surprising!!!!!!

Mueller? We are talking about abortion

Well whether you oppose or support abortion, the rights of both sides are protected, but yeah, nice try.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The choice and decision must always be by the mother and no one else. I support those decisions.

Even if she is mentally compromised? Nope, I disagree.

How dare they to have had beliefs that did not fit completely into one pole or the other, for them to have strayed from a partisan extremists's sense of consistency, i.e. you're either completely in favor of all issues representing an extreme pole, or you're completely in favor of all issues in the other extreme pole.

We do accept them, but it seems that liberals don’t accept the conservative point of view, so where’s the tolerance?
