Good luck with that Trump

Given people can be contagious whilst being asymptomatic, this is a good move.

The masks don’t prevent contraction, but they do prevent spreading.

Here is my advice. Take your useless MAGA caps, cut them up, and finally do something useful with them.

I have a suggestion for your face mask Donnie - duct tape....

Then maybe you can spare us from the daily lies and self-congratulation...

Should people wear facemasks? If it makes them feel better, then by all means, they should wear one. If you are the type of person who can't make this decision for themselves, or relies on a political party to tell them what to do, you should be demanding, or moving to, a socialist society where you can wait for a capitalist, 1st world country, to provide you with a vaccine, testing, and a job in the future.

Naw, I hope he continues to drive liberals crazy, we need the laughs. Lol

Newsflash - your President just sponsored and signed the largest SOCIALIST bailout in US history - $2.2 trillion worth of government money for everyone...

Trump has out-Bernied Bernie...

Repubs see socialists every morning - when they look in the mirror...

Experts told the White House that it was possible to contract the coronavirus through talking and breathing.

Really? Wasn't this clear months ago?

Also, the U.S. and state governments are now telling everybody to wear protective face-masks whenever in public, but it wasn't so long ago that everybody was told by officials that the masks were basically ineffective.

But its only temporary and like Margaret Thatcher once said, “socialism is good until you run out of other people’s money.” So if the Capitalism doesn’t kick in soon, socialists will have nothing to fall back on, take that Bernie!

Trump has been spending other people’s money non-stop since he got into office.

Trump supporters quoting a fiscal conservative?

LMAO

Not really, the socialists won’t let him, they need their cash cow, we the people.

Trump supporters quoting a fiscal conservative?

Compared the liberal entitlements bacon Spencer’s, pretty much.

socialism is good until you run out of other people’s money.

And capitalism is only good until you need help.

Which is why socialist democracies inherently end up in more equality and a happier policy than extreme capitalist nations like the USA and China.

Not really

Yes, really. This is fact. He was piling on the debt while the economy was good. I remember the days when conservatives talked about fixing the roof while the sun is shining. I also remember them talking about not saddling the younger generation with debt.

These days, Trump going nuts with the credit card is just fine. smh.

And capitalism is only good until you need help.

Which will always be temporary and never the rule. Socialism will never replace Capitalism in the US.

So, you think capitalism is good in the good times and socialism is good in the bad times?

Yes, really. This is fact. He was piling on the debt while the economy was good.

Well, the economy got destroyed because of what China was doing, nothing more. And Yes, I know liberals want a neutered military...as does China, Russia, North Korea. In the last administration the Pentagon was worried because our military was outdated, Trump promised to rebuild it and he sure kept that promise, so I’m happy.

These days, Trump going nuts with the credit card is just fine. smh

So he shouldn’t help Americans in this crisis? Wow....Oh....you guys across the pond....smh...

So, you think capitalism is good in the good times and socialism is good in the bad times?

Yes, only if it is necessary and as long as it is limited.

...and if he had blocked that pork-laden Corona bill, you would complain about that. What is the point?

So, you think capitalism is good in the good times and socialism is good in the bad times?

Afaic. socialism never works. And I suspect deep down you know that too. Would you rather be a Corona patient in Cuba, Venezuela or North Korea than in a Western country?

Trump was piling on the debt long before this virus hit.

So he shouldn’t help Americans in this crisis?

Trump was piling on the debt before this crisis.

All readers back on topic please. The subject is face masks.

The Trump administration is formalizing new guidance to recommend that many, if not almost all, Americans wear face coverings when leaving home, in an effort to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.

I hope they are ordering companies to make them domestically. If they rely on masks produced in China, they are reckless.

It seems like people not used to wearing facemasks actually risk infecting themselves more due to touching your face (the mask) and not wearing them properly.

I get the opposite impression. Observation of my Japanese friends tells me it's the ones who habitually wear face masks, who wore them long before coronavirus came along and are used to wearing them, are the ones who treat them way too casually for them to be of any use; putting them on and taking them off indiscriminately, warming their chins with them, touching the inside of the mask when they take them off, stuffing them into a pocket then pulling them out again, taking them off to talk then putting them on again.....anecdotal I know, just giving my own impression.

Personally I've never been into wearing a mask. I'm not used to wearing a mask. I've taken to wearing one now when I head out shopping and am likely to meet people, and it feels so weird and strange that I'm aware of it all the time. I put it on before I leave the house, and leave it where it is until I come home again, taking care not to touch it while I'm out.

One slight inconvenience I've encountered is that my iPhone's face recognition doesn't recognise me in a mask, and I have to key in my password to make a contactless payment.

scientists tested 13 different designs made by community volunteers. They found that some were better at filtering than off-the-shelf surgical masks but others were barely better than wearing no mask at all

T'would be nice to have a link to the designs that were better than off-the-shelf, with instructions for making?
