Is the GOP still going to call itself the party of "family values"?

Seems unnecessarily cruel. I find it hard to believe he sees minorities as human.

Oh, I think the GOP as we knew it died a long time ago. Family values? Clearly not, since even the most self righteous among their membership all but gave Donnie Boy a BJ despite him being an adulterous, multiple divorcee who likes to sexually assault women and lust after his own daughter.

And let's not forget about the death of any definition of conservatism as the GOP collectively got down on all fours and presented at the address to Congress as the Orange-Coifed Imbecile gushed about the trillion dollar infrastructure bill, military budget increase, and $21 billion wall the American taxpayers absolutely will end up footing the bill for. Conservatism? Hah.

Calling modern Republicans hypocrites would only have any effect if a) they had a morals or ethics in the first place, and b) if they actually knew the definition of the word and realized it's typically reserved for describing relative vile human beings.

I don't believe in separating families either

OK, well why not just say that and be done with it? It's OK if you stand next to us sometimes. Trump isn't scanning these boards and threatening to throw you out of the GOP if you stand up for what you believe in.

Awaiting a "slap them around" policy. Dictated number of slaps differ for the mothers and the children, of course. This must be done according to regulation.

This article is just an attempt at deflecting public attention from Pence's emails.

Lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!

Go Trump!!!!

Go illegals (over Trump's 30 billions wall with a 30 dollar ladder)

I know libs don't believe law r borders

But with Trump we are seeing amnesty part 2 (part 1 was with Reagan, another Republican). Did Obama ever have amnesty? No, people just hated him because they thought he was born in Kenya.

It's not the fault of the children, but the law is the law and if you break it, you deal with the consequences, it's as simple as that.

Baseless argument as it isn't actually a law.

A misogynistic obscenity from a misogynistic obscenity.

Most liberals just think the US is, in fact, a giant sieve and therefore we should allow anyone to come in

Is that a fact? I've never met a liberal who thinks that.

Why did the liberal Obama deport more illegal immigrants than GW Bush and more than the sum of all deportations by presidents in the 20th century?

Probably so he can grope them, or otherwise be lewd ! His forte !

Well, that's not going to happen so much because it looks like we are right around the corner with Republican amnesty part 2 (Part 1 was with Reagan). I bet Trump's amnesty record outdoes Reagan's many times over. Reagan's was 3M and Trump's will likely be 2-3x.

@bass4: law isles, so Trump is going to create better law. He is not sticking to laws. Are you suggesting law should not be changed forever ? I

what does Japan do if someone illegally tries to enter Japan with a child? what do most other countries do? not sure why the US is held to such an unreasonably high standard when the border is already as leaky as a sieve... seems the parents are the bad ones trying to use their kids as legal shields.

Most liberals just think the US is, in fact, a giant sieve and therefore we should allow anyone to come in and that's just pure BS of the highest order. What Trump wants to do is No different from any other country, including Mexico. I've been there 18 times, know the culture very well, love the people, but their political system is whacked and asinine. The entire government is corrupt, who the heck is Mexico to sit there and complain they don't like Trump's immigration policies, it's not their country, they can object all they want. They have their laws and we have ours, it's just our existing laws haven't been enforced as hard as they should have been.

How does Mexico treat and deal with immigration? Let's take a look....

@Reckless:What do Yu mean entering Japan illegally? Anyone entering Japan are welcomed as they increase numbers of tourists. And you don't know Japan has been begging many countries to send people because Japanese population has been shrinking?

Another example of a wrong headed policy from this White House, in particular, and Republicans, in general. It would be bad for the people it targets, do nothing to help the US, and be very costly. It is a lose-lose-lose policy.

I'm confused, are we talking about immigrants or people crossing borders illeagally?

Likewise. Is just this for asylum seekers who are going to be sent back if their case is not approved in any case. As far as I am aware, the law always been for expedited removal if you are caught within 100 miles of the border and have been in the country less than 2 weeks.

"Is the GOP still going to call itself the party of "family values"?"

Is the Democratic Party ever going to get its act together?

"Seems unnecessarily cruel. I find it hard to believe he sees minorities as human."

Alright, that's it, just let everyone in, Super will take care of them, lol.

Oh my...

Trump's Immigration Proposal Is the Right Plan. I Fully Support It

this is a positive step forward in solving the illegal immigration problem. this hopefully will further discourage illegals from trying to enter the country. perhaps women think they can use the im a mother card to get off easy, not anymore!

Baseless argument as it isn't actually a law.

Not at all. The law is clear, if you enter the US undocumented, you are entering the country illegally.

A misogynistic obscenity from a misogynistic obscenity.

No, just angry sour Democrats that can't take NOT being in the pilots seat anymore, that just care about open borders and couldn't care less about the rule of law and the sovereignty of the US.

I know libs don't believe law r borders, but if families have to be separated, it's sad, but the fault goes to the family that would put the children through that kind of ordeal, the child might suffer sadly, but you give one a pass, you have to give them all a pass, and you can't do that. You're thinking short term consequences, I'm thinking for the nation long term.

Oh, I think the GOP as we knew it died a long time ago.

Yes, as did the Democratic Party about 25 years ago to be more exact.

Family values? Clearly not, since even the most self righteous among their membership all but gave Donnie Boy a BJ despite him being an adulterous, multiple divorcee who likes to sexually assault women and lust after his own daughter.

Evidentially, middle America didn't think the Democrats cared enough about family values, even Biden admitted that.

Oh, stop! Both parties are useless, but the Dems take insanity to a whole chromatic level.

I'm confused, are we talking about immigrants or people crossing borders illeagally? There's a big difference. Why is this article blurring the line of distinction between the two? I believe that immigrants have rights, and separating them from their families is wrong; however, although I believe people who have willfully broken the law still deserve basic human rights, I believe they do not deserve the same rights as law-abiding immigrants do, and they do not have an automatic right to asylum. If I break the law, I risk my family being broken up by me going to jail. Why do others deserve special treatment? People need to consider the consequences carefully before they decide to engage in illeagal activity.

I agree with you on all points, I don't believe in separating families either, but the law is the law and in the worst case scenario, if you don't want to separate the children from the parents, then the best option would be perhaps to send them back, but you don't reward bad behavior by encouraging more bad behavior. The sad thing is, there are a lot of parents that will use their children as anchors to get a foot into this country and that is what greatly bothers me. I understand the desperation of these people, but again, the law is the law and if you make an exception for one, then you have to do it for another and another and then the entire system collapses and you have what we have now, chaos.
