Hilarious.

A major pandemic is circling the planet and we still get a president that acts like a screaming child instead of doing the correct thing once in his life.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

I don't think much of their chances, either, but the obscurity of the group is irrelevant.

I just think it's odd that, as someone who is intimately familiar with the inner machinations of the intentions and minds behind all of the American media and political class, you missed something that you could have easily picked up with a Google. Q miss that one?

Hilarious

A major pandemic is circling the planet and we still get the scrambling children running from the playground screaming Trump trump trump.

-15 ( +2 / -17 )

I'd like to know what our Trump supporters think about this assertion by their Lord 'n' Little Savior:

"The authority of the president of the United States, having to do with the subject we're talking about, is total."

4 ( +7 / -3 )

the China travel ban was 31 January and the coronavirus task force formed around the same time.

Original model said 2.2 million deaths if nothing done and 100,000-250,000 if measures were taken. Measures were taken and we have 22,000. which is less than 10% of the high number in the range.

What number or date is in dispute, or as you put it blatantly false?

We are talking about facts and numbers, not gathering emotions about individuals and who they know who may have been involved,

This is blatantly false.

Please explain to us, and in particular, those of us who have family at risk, and family in the medical services, why Trump supporters insist on putting out misinformation.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

I assume this also applies to every other leader of every other nation in the world who has had even one citizen die from this horrible virus? Could have been prevented if they had "acted sooner" in every country, right?

Disingenuous. It’s a matter of degree. There have been deaths in NZ, Australia, Taiwan, South Korea etc. but nobody but a deranged partisan would argue that Trump was as competent and decisive as the leaders of those countries. Trump isn’t the only one - the leader of my country, the UK, is another who just wasn’t up to a challenge like this.

Garbage leadership. Just not good enough.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Oh ok, keep me informed when and if they lose and pay damages like CNN already has. Even the article starts out saying "An obscure Washington state group..." and doesnt seem to think much of their lawsuit or chances of winning. But ok, one group has sued FOx News, you are correct.

https://timesofsandiego.com/business/2020/04/02/washington-state-group-is-1st-to-sue-fox-news-for-calling-coronavirus-a-hoax/

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Trump really had a meltdown when the female reporter wouldn't let him gloss over or BS her question. He truly is scared and unable to answer a strong woman... or any woman he cannot pay for, for that matter. It was hilarious watching him try to explain the time he claimed February had bought him, first talking about how no one knew it in January (her reminding him they were talking about February), him saying what he had done mid-March (her reminding him again), him freaking out and screaming, shaking his little hands, voice quivering... what an absolute coward.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

You don't believe me? Read about it.

Oh, you've picked the wrong guy for that activity.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

His timely actions end of January and strictly following the medical experts has held it to 10% of expected.

This is blatantly false.

Please explain to us, and in particular, those of us who have family at risk, and family in the medical services, why Trump supporters insist on putting out misinformation.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Yes, Trump initially dropped the ball, but so did everybody else.

Erm, no. Take a look at how other countries dealt with this. Some good, some bad.

Trump is squarely in the bad column. Many governments around the world have been shown up for what they are.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I assume this also applies to every other leader of every other nation in the world who has had even one citizen die from this horrible virus? Could have been prevented if they had "acted sooner" in every country, right?

Even Dr Fauci clarified today that isnt what his words meant.

The Trump death cult has to be brought to justice, this can never, ever be allowed happen again.

This is a crime against the American people. A crime against humanity.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Fox News isnt being sued for this that I am aware of, no.

They are.

https://timesofsandiego.com/business/2020/04/02/washington-state-group-is-1st-to-sue-fox-news-for-calling-coronavirus-a-hoax/

If so, I have no idea how all the other media who said the exact same things as they did wont be sued as well.

This is an easy one: no other news channel said the same thing.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Despite a U.S. death toll of 23,200,Trump insisted his administration had superbly mitigated the damage, at one point even claiming that his actions saved "tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of lives."

To the shock of reporters gathered for his briefing on the pandemic, Trump played a self-congratulatory, anti-media video during the press conference.

Straight out of a dystopian/Orwelllian novel. Are his supporters in denial, still cheering him on? Is this the most horrific example of gas lighting ever?

Jaw dropping. Simply jaw dropping. Love and solidarity goes out to the America that has been brutalized by this dreadful administration.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

was supposed to be 2.2 million deaths then 200,000. His timely actions end of January and strictly following the medical experts has held it to 10% of expected. Even with an unknown percentage of that number being overcounted as "suspected", "assumed" or "related" coronavirus deaths for people that were not even tested.

Now do the 12,000 that died in H1N1 where nothing was shut down or restricted at all.

20 thousand dead under his watch.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

I disagree, you have a hostile media with the typical usual suspects that are trying to hit him with gotcha questions, I don’t blame him for being hostile with the media, any chance they can get to embarrass this President, they’ll take it.

George W. Bush was a different kind of idiot, but he had the decency of taking criticism and satire like a man. On top of that, Bush was not dismissive of experts and aides around him. Any sense of brain and decency has been lost with the current thin-skinned buffoon we have as POTUS. Just the fact alone that he said that presidential power is absolute is a direct violation of the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution. You don't believe me? Read about it.

We are in this mess because the leaders of the so-called top 2 superpowers in the world have been acting like petulant children who want to be treated like (mad) kings instead of doing what they are supposed to do: be accountable to the people.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

I love it. Trump 2020. Let 'em have it Mr President.

He's let thousands have it in a very final and fatal way.

The Trump death cult has to be brought to justice, this can never, ever be allowed happen again.

This is a crime against the American people. A crime against humanity.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Fox News isnt being sued for this that I am aware of, no. If so, I have no idea how all the other media who said the exact same things as they did wont be sued as well.

Big difference between "being" sued or "will be" sued and was sued (and lost and paid millions in damages)

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/01/07/media/cnn-settles-lawsuit-viral-video/index.html

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

@Blacklabel

Yep. and not is CNN, but they already were. and a kid is a multi-millionaire now due to their fake news.

Isn't FOXNews being sued for spreading misinformation and coronavirus lies?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

President Trump wasn't president when US industries move production of ventilators, generic drugs (including insulin) and PPE to China.

He was PotUS when he disbanded the NSC pandemic unit in 2018, though. He was PotUS when he was warned about the dangers of this outbreak back in January. His response was:

“We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

20 thousand dead under his watch.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Any other leader would be under serious scrutiny for such a colossal and destructive decision to ignore the warnings.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

no matter how sick or deranged he is today, he'll find a newer low tomorrow

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The most pathetic thing about this is not Trump or his many shenanigans.

The most pathetic thing about this whole sordid affair is that there are many people out there that still passionately support every single thing their hero Trump says and does, no matter how ludicrous. And these same people will blindly vote for him come this November.

We are all doomed.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Yep. and not is CNN, but they already were. and a kid is a multi-millionaire now due to their fake news.

Is CNN getting sued?

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

I see now why the uproar.

Fauci said in the same press conference that he had a poor choice of words over the weekend, did not mean what the media claimed he meant and was not being forced by Trump to clarify.

All that got lost by this "orangemanbad showed us a video of ourselves" nonsense.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

The madness of the king continues. His anger, vanity and refusal to accept any criticism is on display for not just his voters, but the whole world to see.

How many more will suffer or die because of his petulance and lack of anything approaching empathy?

The daily briefings are more bizarre than those of Chavez, some time ago.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Interesting now that the curve is flattening and all the goodies have been passed out...now time to be critical...

The inference from this is that the media hasn’t been critical of Donny’s incompetence until now, but that directly contradict your and the other Donny supporter’s incessant whining that the media is unfairly critical of Donny all the time.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Interesting now that the curve is flattening and all the goodies have been passed out...now time to be critical...

Coincidental?

@TheLongTermer

Is the curve flattening? Where? Please provide proof!

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Your forgiving all these others, but holding Trump responsible for all of it. Madness.

I know, eh? Totally unfair, its not like he's president or anything. Sheesh, madness indeed.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

After reading the NYT "Red Dawn" article, it's clear why Trump decided to show his campaign video...

Interesting now that the curve is flattening and all the goodies have been passed out...now time to be critical...

Coincidental?

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Yes, Trump initially dropped the ball

No he is doing now still with Jared and Pence in charge. At least put someone in charge who believes in Science.

downplay the significance of the outbreak

Yes, FOX News and they are in trouble:

Fox News has been playing with fire for years as they have become Trump’s cable news propaganda arm. The problem is that unlike Trump, Fox News does not have legal immunity.

(news source)

Because of FOX, Trump, Pence, and Jared now China is doing better with CV than the US.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

As the press continue to rightly hammer him for his ineptitude get ready to watch the Moron buuuuuurrrn on TV...

But once again..lol, where was the MSM press, during the initial stages of all this? I watched one" senior contributor" downplay the significance of the outbreak, then later become so concerned. Even the leading med expert was saying it was not worth worrying about. Your once again, picking this and that, assembling it later to fit your narrative. Yes, Trump initially dropped the ball, but so did everybody else. Your forgiving all these others, but holding Trump responsible for all of it. Madness.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

After reading the NYT "Red Dawn" article, it's clear why Trump decided to show his campaign video - the article is damning - e-mail after e-mail from CDC experts and other medical professionals telling the Trump admin to take urgent action - and they were all ignored. Trump had to try to deflect with something.

But this won't go away. One expert summed it up perfectly - "It was like ignoring the smoke detector and waiting for the fire to consume the building before calling the Fire Dept."

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8212525/How-experts-sounding-alarm-coronavirus-January-Red-Dawn-email-chain.html

10 ( +11 / -1 )

As Trump said not so long ago as reported in the Washington Post.

"We’re very, very ready for this.”

The president declared that the risk to America was “very low” and predicted a swift end to the outbreak.

He should be given an award for the most BS president of America.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Are they fighting the good fight against the corona?

Not with Jared. Trump (and Jared...and Mike Pence who doesn't believe in Science) are doing such a bad job that now China are beating the US with CV numbers

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Nice to see the orange brat lashing out when challenged on his abject failure to react to the virus in February.

Judgement day is coming. There are tens of thousands of Americans in bodybags the didn't need to be.

Lest anyone forget that instead of showing leadership Trump wasted weeks saying the coronavirus was no worse than the flu. Oh and that it had been invented to make him look bad.

As the press continue to rightly hammer him for his ineptitude get ready to watch the Moron buuuuuurrrn on TV...

9 ( +11 / -2 )

China knew people were infected outside of Wuhan

Now China is beating Trump with the CV fight. That's how much of a joke Trump is. Also, how are Americans going to pay for the healthcare bills if they need to be in ICU? TrumpCare is a failure and healthcare doesn't grow on trees. These bills end up in the 100s of thousands.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

This freak-show of a briefing at least leaves future generations of American children with a valuable history lesson :

George Washington : "I cannot tell a lie."

D.J.Trump : "I cannot tell the truth."

Trump voter : "I cannot tell the difference!"

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Remember when he stopped flights from China and you all yelled he's a racist.

No, because that didn't happen.

President Trump wasn't president when US industries move production of ventilators, generic drugs (including insulin) and PPE to China.

Didn't Trump run on a platform of bringing this all back from China? What happened there?

Lets hear the excuses...

Please, go ahead.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

firing the person in charge of watching for viruses coming out of China, and putting his son-in-law in charge is directly responsible in losing valuable time in handling of this deadly crisis.

Once again, another attempt at blame shifting. Bring it back over here....China knew people were infected outside of Wuhan, they lost control of that situation, and those individuals spread to other travelers. If it was contained inside China, then this would of never happened. Woulda coulda shoulda is all secodary

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

You can thank Don Lemon

FOX?

Amid the mushrooming coronavirus crisis, Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch are girding for a pandemic of public-interest lawsuits over misinformation and conspiracy theories dispensed by certain Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network personalities such as Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Trish Regan.

(news quote)

Is CNN getting sued?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Some of us still havent processed the impeachment scam and what that was all about

Oh? That's weird, you complain about it all the time and you don't know what it is? You hold very strong opinions on something you openly say you have no clue about?

And you vote Trump, you say? Will wonders never cease?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The American politics has become a circus, a clown show which takes all the spotlight, and people love it ....

You can thank Don Lemon and the Cumo clown nepotism daily feeds for dumbind down the US, you have to unwind everything they say in order to process what is true and what isnt. Im an adult, as most Americas are, and we can forgive Trumps mis steps as most of us can see what he meant or did not. I dont need to join the herd for ...what? I can think for myself.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

as the curve flattens, as I expected, the media is now blaming Trump for the pandemic, which is quite sinister of them. China knowingly allowed infected citizens to spread out of Wuhan to the interior then to the world. Trump reacted then rightly banned Chinese travel to the US. The MSM at that time did not cover the pandemic. With these people you have to back it up and look at facts.

They blame Trump for his poor response and his incompetence as a leader during this crisis. Most experts claim that disbanding the Global Pandemic Unit, firing the person in charge of watching for viruses coming out of China, and putting his son-in-law in charge is directly responsible in losing valuable time in handling of this deadly crisis.

For many trump supporters in the US, they didn't care when trump was causing the deaths of people in syria or calling other countries garbage and dangerous, but now it is in their country where friends and family are dying and suffering.

By the way, President Obama called a "State of Emergency two weeks after the first person was diagnosed with H1N1.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Those "news" are so counter productive, so useless. Stop giving him airtime.

The internet is now "Trump said that, Trump did that, this media attacks, this media fakes, blahblah".

Where are the reports of what is going on on the ground, in cities fighting the virus, or in hospitals, or maybe what some are doingo to help people in their daily lives, etc.

The American politics has become a circus, a clown show which takes all the spotlight, and people love it ....

1 ( +1 / -0 )

its actually a clever maneuver by Trump

Oh yes, very suave of him to utilize a press conference meant to convey information about a deadly pandemic killing thousands to, instead, play a video montage about how mean all the bad people have been to him even though he is so great all the time and did you know he has the most followers on Facebook? Well who really knows who has the most followers, maybe, its impossible to describe this thing that doesn't even have a name....Facebook.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

just as with the impeachment scam

Yes, FOX news said CV is a hoax to get Trump to leave office.

and took the Presidents attention away from, the corona pandemic

No, it's because Trump didn't have good staff (Clinton never had a problem running the country with his impeachment). The reason is Trump put Jared in charge.

Their own statements, think about it.

401ks are not doing so hot in 2020. Trump at watch.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

while Trump hijacks 'this' for votes. Politics works both ways.

The Democrats are doing the same thing, well.....the msm is working overtime.

I love how the liberal posters blame Trump for everything.

Ohhhh, yes, they do. Just look at JT daily.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

now watch Biden, the "caring" candidate bring out the hate. He will exploit this situation to the max, he and his crew are just waiting for the curve to drop some more...

Some of us still havent processed the impeachment scam and what that was all about

Now you want me to believe Dems and MSM have my best interest at heart?

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

opportunist who will hijack this very sad situation for votes.

while Trump hijacks 'this' for votes. Politics works both ways.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I love how the liberal posters blame Trump for everything.

We don’t.

Remember when he stopped flights from China and you all yelled he's a racist.

Nope, because I didn’t.

President Trump wasn't president when US industries move production of ventilators, generic drugs (including insulin) and PPE to China. Lets hear the excuses...

Correct, but how long has he been in office? How did he rectify the situation?

It’s always fun to read comments from boomers.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

This is not a clown show; its actually a clever maneuver by Trump to get in front of the soon to be onslaught from the opportunist who will hijack this very sad situation for votes.

Ive been observing the whole thing since it started, who said what in the MSM and who the real clowns are. Im not fooled by any of their latest attempts at smearing.

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

Lets hear the excuses...

You are doing pretty well...

Pot meet kettle...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

And you object to the President counter-punching those who attack him.

No, I object to him doing a horrible, horrible job of actually running the country. He's great at emotional outbursts against all the mean journalists who say nasty things about him. Absolutely exceptional skills there, if only he was able to do other things too.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

I love how the liberal posters blame Trump for everything. Remember when he stopped flights from China and you all yelled he's a racist. President Trump wasn't president when US industries move production of ventilators, generic drugs (including insulin) and PPE to China. Lets hear the excuses...

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

And you object to the President counter-punching those who attack him.

Everyone should because the president should have the ability to rise above the nonsense and lead, like the last guy.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

They were so consumed with the impeachment farce, they lost sight of, and took the Presidents attention away from, the corona pandemic. If anybody is to blame its them.

So this guy is driving his truck down the highway is distracted by a hitchhiker on the shoulder and as a result crashes into the car in front of him. Exactly whose fault is the accident?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Trump: I have "TOTAL AUTHORITY" over Govs

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-total-authority-president_n_5e94f544c5b606109f5ea92b

Remember when Republicans were for limited government, and proud supporters of States rights?

Well, those days are long gone...

Trump has now turned Repubs upside down - they're now for the federal government having "total authority" over the states.

Doesn't that sound like a totalitarian state? State TV? Black helicopters?

Trump may be bringing to our country what his supporters fear most...

Remember that when you vote in Nov Trump supporters...

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I dont agree with all of Trump but WYSIWYG, and he is transparent. With this, he is just showing facts, as MSM and Dems are manipulating, just as with the impeachment scam, and are trying to hijack a situation for their own sinister reasons. I honestly dont think they give a #@$ about anybody.

They were so consumed with the impeachment farce, they lost sight of, and took the Presidents attention away from, the corona pandemic. If anybody is to blame its them.

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

the media is now blaming Trump for the pandemic

I've yet to read anyone blame Trump for the pandemic. I've read most blame China. However I have read many say it was allowed to spread in the US to the extent it has because Trump was so slow in dealing with it. If you have a link showing Trump being blamed for the pandemic, I'd like to read it.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Ive been watching this, and its been interesting. The MSM was being unusually quiet with their attacks on Trump, but now that the curve is trending down, they have started to pounce and will continue to do so.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

What an absolute fiasco - over 20K Americans are dead, to include one close Trump friend, and this Moron just goes on about how great a job he's doing. If we ever needed any more confirmation that he is deep into dementia, this it it.

And the Trump supporters here, being the reality TV lovers they are, just cheer it on. They'd probably like Trump to push JIm Acosta just like you see Kim and Kourtney doing on The Kardahsians.

That's the level Trump and his supporters have taken our country.

But this is not some cheap entertainment show, this is real - and 20K Americans are now dead because of Trump's documented failures.

That's all any American needs to know when they vote in Nov.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

he played their own comments. Do they not stand by what they said?

But you ought to be very thankful that Trump never played his own words which never fail to hoist him with his own petard. We are not fooled.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

@Chip Star

The difference being we can articulate exactly why Donny is scum and have ample evidence to back it up and you have to resort to socialism! and have zero evidence when trying to explain why you think Obama was scum.

You mean basically they are just lying!

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I guess that lady they tried to ban from the press conferences will have to ask the reporters why they feel a recoding of the statements from themselves, their colleagues and the networks they represent are “propaganda”.

Their own statements, think about it.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

The stable genius has become unstable again!

6 ( +8 / -2 )

I love how any question that’s Donny doesn’t know the answer to, which is 99% of them, is a gotcha question.

The term was popularized by Sarah Palin, who equally had absolutely no idea was she was talking about most of the time, and therefore resented any questions that highlighted her ignorance and incompetence by denigrating them as "gotcha questions". Nice to see that culture is unironically being perpetuated by people who think not knowing things is actually a positive.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

"The authority of the president of the United States, having to do with the subject we're talking about, is total," he said.

Classic Trump- he wants all of the power and none of the responsibility. [Remember when he literally said "I take no responsibility"?] An angry, confused boy play-acting as a king.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Knowing if he doesn't his state will probably get nothing from the feds.

BINGO!

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I understand, I felt the same about the previous President.

The difference being we can articulate exactly why Donny is scum and have ample evidence to back it up and you have to resort to socialism! and have zero evidence when trying to explain why you think Obama was scum.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

@bass4Wow, Cuomo praising Trump again.

Knowing if he doesn't his state will probably get nothing from the feds.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

serendipitous1Today  10:21 am JST

He still wants to congratulate himself when 20,000 US citizens have died so far? 20,000 people. It's a huge figure. This guy is beyond embarrassing, even beyond pathetic.

Without bothering to scroll down through them - I have better things to do, like stare at a blank wall for an hour - I can imagine numerous cravenly sycophantic defences of Donald Trump in response to this from the usual toadies, trolls and bores. However I would hope that even die-hard conservative Republicans are finding the facts contained in articles like this just a bit embarrassing.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Trump is a weak, silly little man.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

Yes, the man's definitely in love with himself. Trump might be able to pee on his smiling staff of yes-men/cronies and tell them it's raining, but that won't work on an entire country.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Wow, Cuomo praising Trump again.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8214853/Andrew-Cuomo-says-Trump-frequently-asks-coronavirus-stricken-brother-Chris-Cuomo.html

If only the media would tell the whole truth and not just selected tidbits of it.

-11 ( +6 / -17 )

He's starting to crack. This is not good.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

simply played back peoples recent public comments (including his own), unedited, unmanipulated, undoctored and in context.

overreaction much?

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

Do you guys know why your in this situation? Perhaps because the last 3 Presidents played their part in globalization and bowing on their knees to the 1 true country that you love to hate but yet keep sending your money to us...ahahaha...

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Where are the mods. Please keep people on topic! This is not a bashing site!

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

I am really disappointed. With all the uproar, I though this was actually news. Something was "doctored" or ""manipulated" or edited in a misleading manner, I thought.

Not just recordings of public statements that liberals and media people made on TV that we already saw that they didnt want shown again. Along with Trump statements they didnt want to hear the first time, much less twice. poor media, they are just to be pitied during these horrible times.

Now go find some more Chinese propaganda outlets to join you in the room next time.

-12 ( +4 / -16 )

Is this even news anymore? Trump has been doing this since Day 1 while his followers continued to say "give him a chance." His running of the USA shows exactly why his Casinos all went bankrupt. The funny part is he will be reelected this year, so Americans must really love drama and complaining.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

rainyday - I can't speak for everyone, but personally my desperation comes from the fact that the president, instead of doing his job of governing the United States, is spending his time cobbling together video montages as a way of getting back at people who have been mean to him and hurt his feelings.

"Desperation" being the key word. And you object to the President counter-punching those who attack him.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

I've made my position clear many times. For decades I've thought Trump was scum.

I understand, I felt the same about the previous President.

And I value the underpinnings of the republic which trump's trying to undo. I would NEVER supports his efforts to further splinter the country like he and his global elite are doing.

I disagree. I think you have a liberal elite still crying like little babies about losing the last election, so what do they do? They launch a bogus investigation that fell flat on its face and then they launch a farce impeachment with the same results and now are thinking of launching another one? These are the richest people on the planet and these rich liberals don’t like it one bit that a Washington outsider is stepping on their meal ticket.

-16 ( +3 / -19 )

I have voted Democrat every election since I have been 18.

For how long have you been 18?

Altright is a term used by people who cannot formulate a rational response, but resort to name calling.

Alt-right is a term used to describe people with extreme conservative views, including extreme views about race, who reject ordinary politics and use the internet to spread their opinions.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

@basss4fAre you supporting the President?

I've made my position clear many times. For decades I've thought Trump was scum. And I value the underpinnings of the republic which trump's trying to undo. I would NEVER supports his efforts to further splinter the country like he and his global elite are doing.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Ah, you can smell the desperation coming from the left over this video montage of liberals accurately applauding the President's handling of the virus.

I can't speak for everyone, but personally my desperation comes from the fact that the president, instead of doing his job of governing the United States, is spending his time cobbling together video montages as a way of getting back at people who have been mean to him and hurt his feelings.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

yes, I am sure the liberal media were quite embarrassed to see their own words and voices presented on the screen. But do they regret saying them and apologize for their misinformation? nope! orangemanbad for playing it on the screen in front of them.

-10 ( +5 / -15 )

Not if they hit him with click-baiting gotcha questions.

I love how any question that’s Donny doesn’t know the answer to, which is 99% of them, is a gotcha question.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

pathetic beyond words....

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Ah, you can smell the desperation coming from the left over this video montage of liberals accurately applauding the President's handling of the virus.

Case in point: On this thread alone, one poster claims Mr. Trump is interfering of the corporate media's right of a "free press" while another poster is calling for the president of the White House Correspondents Association to "organize a movement whereby the press does not show up to these briefings" and the MSM should stop broadcasting (censoring) the daily briefings (which, FYI, they are already doing for anyone who has bothered to watch U.S. network and cable news TV).

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

Are you agreeing it's bad for Trump to be attacking the free, for-profit press?

Not if they hit him with click-baiting gotcha questions.

Or are you supporting Ms Dunn.

Are you supporting the President?

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he out does himself.

8 ( +13 / -5 )

@PTownsend

You know absolutely nothing about me.

I am a registered Democrat.

I have voted Democrat every election since I have been 18.

The media is a skipping record looking for gotchas against Trump and not reporting facts. Just hate Trump 365/24/7.

Altright is a term used by people who cannot formulate a rational response, but resort to name calling.

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

That is exactly what Trump did to the alleged news media. He showed them recordings of their own words of just a few weeks/months ago. The entertainment media (formerly know as the news media) was shown how incompetent and stupid and political they have become.

Cool to know that your president is devoting all his time to petty vendettas at a time like this, thanks for the explanation.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

kyushubl"Orange Man bad

A slogan used to identify alt rightists, the same way gangbangers use signs to shown membership.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

@theavenger and I believe a crime.

You're not just stoking flames again are you?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Yeah, yeah, yeah

We get it media, you hate Trump 365/24/7

We get it "Orange Man bad reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"

-11 ( +6 / -17 )

rainyday - Sorry but they don't even need to do that. Just playing this idiot's words accurately and in context paints a damning picture of his incompetence and stupidity.

-12 ( +5 / -17 )

he played their own comments. Do they not stand by what they said? Terrible.

-10 ( +5 / -15 )

startled, shocked, raising alarms. Just more unnecessary drama.

Let me get this straight, the video that was played is entirely recordings of liberal media and then meida statements from the president? so the comments of the media shown are propaganda?

-10 ( +6 / -16 )

@ Mr, these propaganda hustlers?

That is pretty harsh to the bulky younger man in the photo. I mean he is probably just a junior staff member whose job is to run the remote for the propaganda slide show.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

ok now do the White House Correspondents Association inviting Chinese propaganda journalists to the briefings twice last week and allowing them to push narratives instead of asking questions.

"to play a propaganda video at taxpayer expense in the White House briefing room is a new -- you can insert your favorite word here."

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

No, they’re attacking the President by purposely using certain selected and often edited quotes to entrap the guy

Sorry but they don't even need to do that. Just playing this idiot's words accurately and in context paints a damning picture of his incompetence and stupidity.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

I'm more scared for mankind that don't think this is the fault of Trump's actions.

Remember it all magically goes away when it gets warmer... I wish Trump would magically go away.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Quoting people and reporting on their actions is not attacking, it’s reporting.

No, they’re attacking the President by purposely using certain selected and often edited quotes to entrap the guy and he’s calling them out, which he also has every right to do.

If you want reports about Donny to be positive, get him to stop acting like a petulant child and to stop mouthing off without thinking first.

If you want Trump to lay off of the reporters, then stop asking gotcha questions in order to boost more ratings and clicks, don’t have to agree with the President, but you don’t have to a a jerk when asking a question.

-23 ( +6 / -29 )

A classic beat down of the Fake News Industrial Complex.

You think a self-aggrandizing video is a best down of the media? Lmao!

More clips Mr. President. Continue fighting fire with fire.

Yeah! Except he’s simply giving them more ammunition regarding his utter incompetence and lack of intelligence.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Since the White House prepared a campaign video for Trump, it was presumably done at taxpayer expense, which would be a misuse of federal funds and I believe a crime.

10 ( +16 / -6 )

Can't wait to see what will happen if Sleepy Joe becomes the commander in chief !!

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

You have the free liberal press attacking the President

Quoting people and reporting on their actions is not attacking, it’s reporting. If you want reports about Donny to be positive, get him to stop acting like a petulant child and to stop mouthing off without thinking first.

12 ( +18 / -6 )

I didn't watch the propaganda video but you can be rest assured that it left out clips of him dismissing Covid-19 as unimportant, saying things like it's "just like the flu", and doing that weird thing he does with his hands and saying that it will disappear in April with the heat.

11 ( +19 / -8 )

I think Jonathan Karl is the president of the White House Correspondents Association. After that stunt Trump pulled today with the propaganda video, Karl should organize a movement whereby the press does not show up to these briefings. A message needs to be sent that what he did today breaks all protocols and the press will not be enablers to his nonsense.

Just stop televising him. Making Trump irrelevant is his greatest fear.

11 ( +18 / -7 )

Several news outlets, which have taken to broadcasting most or all of the lengthy events live, quickly cut away.

They can't allow anyone to shine light on the fake news....

-17 ( +8 / -25 )

Historians will regard the Trump presidency as the end of the beginning of the end of the American Empire (the beginning was the disastrous invasion of Iraq in 2003). From here on in, the decline and fall will accelerate and be unstoppable. Thanks, Don.

16 ( +24 / -8 )

I hope history remember what a complete moron Trump was and how he failed so badly.

This is not news, it’s just another day if Donny being Donny. Remember when we had a president that didn’t need constant validation and praise and who rose above the pettiness?

I do. It was three and a half very long years ago.

You have our sympathy, you really do. Chin up.

-33 ( +11 / -44 )

Oh No. The usual alleged "news media-types" objecting to being shown their own recordings of how hypocritical they have been. It looks as if the news media-types can't take a counter-punch, either.

-27 ( +9 / -36 )

"The problem is the press doesn't cover it the way it should be."

That Trump has such disdain for the US Constitution - which permits free speech and a free press - should surprise no one. That his supporters in the US and 'abroad' attack the free press - while using the free press to attack it - says a lot about their beliefs. In fairness, most of them have said all along they wanted Trump to undermine US systems. Which he's rapidly doing. Does Trump want total control over media like Xi has, or 'partial' control like Putin has.

8 ( +17 / -9 )

Trump is getting more and more out of control. This is not a reality show. We need seriously good leadership and not all this trying to get the best media time and firing anyone who disagrees.

I disagree, you have a hostile media with the typical usual suspects that are trying to hit him with gotcha questions, I don’t blame him for being hostile with the media, any chance they can get to embarrass this President, they’ll take it.

I have never seen a political clown act like this in my life.

Where were you 8 years ago?

America, please vote this idiot out and put in a leader that is working for the people instead of for their own ego, we deserve better.

2024 you’ll get your chance.

Trump said the video was produced in-house by his social media director, Dan Scavino, and others at taxpayer expense

Is Scavino the same guy who's used his office and government facilities - paid for by taxpayers - to create malicious deep fake videos demeaning some of Trump's long list of enemies?

'Fake news' in global alt right jargon means any reporting that doesn't present Trump (and other far right despots around the globe) in a glowing light.

21 ( +29 / -8 )

He still wants to congratulate himself when 20,000 US citizens have died so far? 20,000 people. It's a huge figure. This guy is beyond embarrassing, even beyond pathetic.

17 ( +33 / -16 )

And the clown show continues.
