There is such a thing as a president inadvertently leaking classified information through shear stupidity. Such as handling sensitive documents in ways they can be publicly photographed. Or blurting out sensitive information to people who have no privy to it. Or hiring people who should obviously be suspect of mishandling sensitive information. All of these are on Trump's shoulders; there is no pretending otherwise.

In my job as a translator, I am privy to much information others would like to keep close hand on. I get work because I do so - I often don't even tell my wife what I'm working on except for a general outline. And I'm a friggin' small-time translator in a small Japanese town. One would expect the President of the US could at least match my diligence. (Trump's problem is he puts himself first, whereas I put my clients first.)
